Sometimes I miss teamspeak because it would make this easier. Assign each group a leader and then assign them a room with their group, giving the leaders the only ability to 'whisper' from the room to a command room. It would make the comms chaos a lot easier to manage. Awesome video, it is a shame Gaijin cant figure this out on their own. We need new modes.

Honestly this is what air RB should be. There should be actual missions and various maps that change up gameplay instead of just waiting for everyone to get killed. Like you could have something like this where you have to bomb or capture an island and then destroy a fleet. Or CAS missions where your team wins if the soldiers on the ground capture a point. Or bomber escorts. And for maps for example you could have one that spawns everyone at insanely high altitude or in a mountain range. War thunder’s potential is being so underutilized

Planes are hella fun, but how about, the Battle Of France 64 players? This could actually be fun since france and Germany were at an even strength but france was missing communication. French B1s and Lorraine as well as D2 would be cool
Just joined the discord, I don’t play war thunder, but I think it would be awesome to make the animated maps, but with real time and real life pieces like during the Battle of Britain. I got a few aircraft things from board games and I got a good spot to record this from (tape phone on ceiling). I’d 100% be able to do this in real time if I’m able to join a sides VC and get to hear contact reports. I think it would be a really cool thing to add into these videos
I know you weren’t specifically striving for historical accuracy, but I wonder how the Japanese team would have coped had you split the team into both torpedo bombers AND dive bombers and staggered their attack as how it happened historically. Would that first torpedo attack have been as successful if you all were in Devastators instead of Avengers? How many people actually would have climbed to take out the dive bombers? It also would have been cool if you could have recreated the attack by the Midway B-17s, Vindicators, and TBF’s.
The Devastors were so bad in the Testing of the event that not a single one managed to drop their torpedo before getting within 3km of the ships. The b17s funnily enough we did try actually and it didn't make it in the video because they literally didn't do anything. They were too spread out and anti took all the b17s and b26s out.
Well. The japanese lost its entire kido butai. 4 carriers and a bunch of cruisers. They failed to invade Midway island and only destroyed it which the US can literally repair in a year. The US also lost 3 carriers while sinkimg 4 carriers.
True, but until 1943 the Americans only have the USS Saratoga and the USS Wasp in this time-line. Which historically both get wounded or destroyed by Japanese submarines. And if it still goes down this time line, there would be little American aircraft carrier opposition, only the Saratoga during the Battle of the Eastern Solomons, and the battle of Santa Cruz Islands wouldn't take place because there is no more enterprise or Hornet. Meaning that the battle of Guadalcanal would be much more difficult and costly, though there still would be a force at Henderson field due to the CVE Long Island efforts. Which overall could possibly delay the victory at Guadalcanal by at least a few months, possibly more. The Zuiho wouldn't need repairs either due to Santa Cruz battle never happening and the Jun'yo, Zuikaku, Shokaku and Zuiho would have a much easier time due to literally no American aircraft carrier opposition after the Eastern Solomons until 1943 until the USS Essex came. Though more than likely, the Ryujo would still have been sunk. That's just my take if the rest of the war went historically.
Is it possible to play veichles you haven't unlocked in custom battles? I'd love to participate in these battles, but I don't have the aircraft unlocked
To be honest, using Akagi model for Kaga was the best possible option, but it also just feels like the most vile way to disrespect Kaga. At least I didn't have to actually see Kaga get bombed........(Because I cried on the Midway movie because of that) But still. Sink the Akagi!
Turns out it's hard to defend a designated target when noone cares about dying because it's a game and you're just throwing "spawns" at the enemy instead of your own life. This just seems to reinforce why Gaijin hasn't made a game mode like that yet. Still looks fun and it's an awesome project, but also feels like it would go stale in regular gameplay instead of rare events.

Really great event! i do wish you had a few longer takes though, too many of the shots were just a second or 2 before a cut
there was 36 hours of footage from all peoples POVs so it was really hard to Show Everything so thats why i had to cramp it in :)
