I am not at the 8:25 superwoman level, but I did something I am quite proud of. My aunt is in her mid-70s, and she told me of an older woman who hosted her when she went for her studies in the US. She went in her late teens to early 20s. She remembered the woman's name (a very common one), occupation, and state she lived in, and that she had a son who died in WW2. That same day, I showed her the street view of the house, and she nearly cried seeing the driveway exactly as she remembered it! I concluded with a cemetery she was buried in and where her grave is (in case she wanted to send some flowers). Felt good to use my powers for good.
My dad gave my turtle mouth to mouth (sorta). My box turtle hung himself from the fence he tried to climb. My dad saw him hanging there, got him down, & blew into his nose a few times while pulling his arms slightly & massaging the chest shell. He came to, and one of his eyes popped open. It took about a week for his other eye to open, but now he’s fine. We also changed the fence ❤

Fun Fact: Last guy is Trevor Rainbolt, who plays an online geography guessing game called Geoguessr. If you lose a reptile in your home, put up a heat lamp in one spot and you will find them there in the morning usually. I've raised reptiles for a long time and this always seems to work, I got this advice from an old head that raises reptiles. Hope this helps someone so they don't have to sit up all night with crickets and the frog not caring about the crickets. Heat lamp attached to something so he can get underneath it and warm up his cold-blooded self and you will find them there shortly thereafter. Also kudos to this wonderful mom. I wish every child was able to have a mom that was willing to go above and beyond to save their kids reptiles. Bravo mama!
The story with the frog reminded me of an incident that happened to us. Once my husband was on the night shift and my son (2 years old) and I were already in bed. Everyone in their room. The son was already asleep. Suddenly I heard strange knocking sounds from the kitchen. At first I thought it was probably the refrigerator vibrating, because the containers inside it are placed next to each other, but after a while the sounds got weirder and weirder. So I got up and went to the kitchen to see what it was. I turned on the light and there was a bat on the inner windowsills. In matter of the second after turning on the light, he fell to the ground and quickly crawled under the refrigerator. It was summer, so we had the window ajar to ventilate the apartment. We lived on the eighth floor. There was no time to panic, because what if the bat crawls behind the kitchen cabinet and dies there. That would be an awful smell and also that poor living creature.... Kitchen cabinets are often one big construction screwed to walls in our country without any gap near the floor from visible sides. If you would want to pick up something behind one cabinet, you have to take apart whole thing. I immediately thought that if I somehow pulled him out, I would quickly put a bucket on him. But now how to pull it out? The refrigerator was about three centimeters from the ground. It flashed through my mind that I have a long wooden stick in the flowerpot, which will fit exactly into this gap under the refrigerator. So I quickly ran to untie the flower and pulled out the stick from the pot-ground. Armed with a bucket and a stick, I was now thinking about the best way to pick him up and in which direction to pull under the refrigerator. In the end, the best solution was to block the way from the kitchen cabinet side with a stick and move the stick slowly towards the wall and then towards me. Fortunately, I accidentally gently pinch his wing with the stick, so he couldn't move, and very slowly I started to move it in the planned direction. When I take it out, I immediately cover it with a bucket. So the first part was fulfilled. The bat is in the bucket, so there is no danger of him running where he shouldn't. And now the second question arose. How do I kick him out? The bat was as big as my hand and the idea of holding it in my hand terrified me. My eyes fell on the cutting board. Bingo!!! I slowly started to slide the cutting board under the bucket. This was done without the bat escaping. Then I took him to the balcony and released him. Fortunately, my son didn't wake up, but I have a lot to remember.... I washed the cutting board with soap, disinfected it with hot water and vinegar. The whole thing lasted about half an hour, but the hardest part was keeping myself from panicking. After that night, we bought nets for the window so that it wouldn't happen again.
Well done! You saved yourself an awful smell and many bats are endangered, so you did your bit for the planet, too. And all whilst not waking your son! Fabulous job, mama! 😎👍
Hooray! Thank you for saving that bat. They seem scary and can carry rabies, but they are essential for the environment. Any animal that can eat thousands of mosquitoes is a friend of mine! They are also important as pollinators of Saguaros, agave, cocoa, bananas, mangoes, guavas, and eucalyptus. When we enjoy a margarita, or delicious chocolate, or a fruit smoothie, we can thank bats for their important contributions!🦇

@@alexisgrunden1556Hate to break it to you, but even the "flushable," "septic safe," and "plumber approved," wipes are terrible for the sewers and should never be flushed. Those have been around for awhile and some are inexpensive. The pricey ones are probably better at pinpointing exact locations and RF signal strength. My ex used to carry one at work so he could find the "dead" spots where there's no RF signal detected so he could do whatever it was that he didn't want his employer to see. He was cheating on me with his long time coworker, at work, so I hope that was all he was up to. Not my problem anymore since he moved in with his coworker 8 years ago after vehemently denying that there was anything going on for years. I don't know if his RF detector was accurate, but my own built-in BS detector was spot on! There are also apps for smartphones that detect any cameras that are controlled by wi-fi, and may be even able to detect radio frequencies but I know nothing about those. I didn't know they existed until about 10 minutes ago, but I'm going to look into those apps.
Another thing when it comes to crazy celebrity requests (idk that it applies to the one in the vid but still) when they request like super specific food or candy or whatever. It's to make sure the venue is paying attention to detail to ensure safety precautions are met for the audience and the performer

Hidden cameras in AirB&B's is a *huge* thing lately. It's happening a *LOT* (creepy AF) Anyway, those detectors are very popular now. If you get one, just be sure to look at the range. None of the more reasonably priced ones are going to have ridiculously long range but you do need to look for that as some of them have such a short range, they are almost useless. Unfortunately... *people are creeps* I recommend a camera / bug detector in any air b&b or hotel room.
There's easy and cheap ways of locating spy cams using just your smartphone and/or a flashlight. Google 'Norton Blog Hidden cameras' for great advice, including how to detect two-way mirrors. Importantly, if you find one, don't touch it so it can be fingerprinted. It's illegal to conceal suveillance devices, even if the AirB&B/hotel/etc. openly says they have security cameras. Learn how to check wi-fi for connected devices. It's not just perverts but identity thieves and regular old opportunistic thieves who may be watching.
@@bmljenny It's a grey area that varies from place to place and circumstances. A "reasonable expectation of privacy" does not just mean bathrooms and bedrooms. Disclosure does not mean you can conceal cameras - people have to be aware of and explicitly consent to the presence of surveillance cameras and where they are and what they are recording. You can't just say there are security cameras at a property. You certainly can't publish recordings or otherwise infringe on data protection laws. Your definition of legality is simplistic and I wouldn't rely on it or you'll fall foul of a veritable minefield of circumstances. My "expectation of privacy" would be no recording whatsoever inside an AirBnB/hotel room and why anyone would want to do that is very creepy - if you're that concerned about security, get out of the AirBnB business and I'll go somewhere else less intrusive.
What do you recommend that is maybe mid-range? Or what do you use? I'll be visiting a country that is notorious for this but now I'm not sure I got a useful detector.

Man, as someone who just, finally, bought my first house, the one listing that we saw that I will never stop talking about is the crooked house. I even kept the paper print-out from the realtor after we closed on ours and threw the other listings away. So the house looked okay, nothing fancy, in the photo. But when we pulled up, my husband asked whether it looked off to us. I wear progressive lenses so a lot of things have a slight warp to me but the realtor agreed (always get a realtor who represents you exclusively, not the other party). So inside we see that it’s been made over in the way that many house flippers like to do. We have the latest flooring and kitchen tiles and lighting, all neutrals and black and white, freshly painted, you name it. It would look pretty good except that we crossed the living room and walked down (literally like down a small hill) a hallway into the bedrooms. Further down into the bathroom. Walked up the hill again back into the living room and down the other side to check out the garage, which was raw, filthy, and full of dangling bundles of wire! The realtor is just in awe. From my husband’s first question we had just been looking this place over for our own entertainment, mind you. There was no way we’d think of buying it. Realtor looks at those wires and says that’s a fire hazard. Expresses doubt about how this passed any inspections. I point out that the living room floor can’t even lay flat enough for the panels to stay interlocked. I assume the seller hadn’t visited in a while to find out that the foundation, which they clearly hadn’t bothered to fix up when they fixed the rest of it, had given way in spots. On the way out the realtor looked at the seller’s realtor’s sign and says, “Good luck, buddy.”
So many people get scammed by these house flippers. First house my husband and I looked at back when we were young, he reached up to an outside fascia and pulled gobs of rotten wood off with his hands. Fortunately he knew construction, I was mortified, the listing agent was embarrassed. That was 1970’s so being a con artist flipper is nothing new. Sadly.
my 2 dart frogs got out of their tank through a small slit in the screen top. I only noticed when i saw one in my kitchen, found the other hours later hiding in a pot of moss i had put out. most hysterical ive ever been.
This is why it's scary to have a big social media presence- determined people will find you. But why would you just dump people's info into a video that the whole Internet will see? She may not abuse the info, but someone else will.
This is why I don't have Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, etc.... I'm the ONLY person in the world with my name combo (think Hispanic and German, 2 names you would never guess would be together). If you Google it, I am the only one who comes up. That's scary.
This is true..but also, why do people insist on posting their entire life stories to social media..even more, why leave it all open for public viewing?? Attention seeking is my only guess. When I used social media, I had only family and real friends and my acct was locked down so ONLY they could see anything. I also NEVER commented on anyone's acct if their acct was set to public viewing.

When I was a kid we had a pet canary that we would let fly around our finished basement while we cleaned its cage. One time it flew into the part of the basement that had an open ceiling panel and flew directly into the hole. We cut holes in the walls trying to get it out. A week later it flew back out on its own while we were at school, leaving my definitely not an animal person mother to catch, clean, and cage him on her own 😂
The way you started whispering was so cute. Most us moms will do this for our kids plus that looks like a special pet frog not just a regular outside frog that they just picked up.
Frog Momma is the absolute best momma. What a sweetheart.
Parents will do anything for their kids! Love this for you! I’m glad the turtle made it.

Fun Fact: Last guy is Trevor Rainbolt, who plays an online geography guessing game called Geoguessr. When he first started, a lot of people thinks he cheats LOL Guess that's a compliment of some sort.
If this guy teams up with that investigator lady, there's no place anyone can hide online 😂
Edit: If you don't know the game: it shows a random location on Google Maps and you guess what country, city, place, street, etc., it's from.
I wondered if that's where this started! I love Geoguessr. it's surreal how close you can get from just a few little clues. Sometimes you can get the exact screenshot from street view. it's wild.

Good move on her turning the light off. Cause that light was probably the whole reason he hid in the first place. Kudos to her!!!!!
Brave woman 👏🏾👏🏾

The camera detector is definitely on Amazon. I saw Vivian Tries open one the other day. They are pricey-ish but worth it in my opinion 🧐
What is the devices’ name??
@@catherineg9943 you can look up “hidden camera finder” and it will have a list of the items.
@@LazyIRanch I love that… your BS detector. I have one of those too and it works really well. Very similar situation too.

It is legal to have cameras in AirBnBs as long as they are disclosed and not in the bedroom/bathroom.

That frog mom is a legit hero. It takes *_real_* love to go through all that. Just for an itty bitty froggy (confession: I would probably do that).

Not all heroes wear capes 🦸

Honestly if I was Beyoncé I’d want my own bathroom too. There is no way someone as famous as her could pee in peace in a public space
It wasn't a bathroom she asked for (which I imagine would be given as standard), it was her own personal toilet seat, to install *in* the bathroom
