Unlike many I am not disappointed in this patch. To be dissapointed, you need to have had some positive expectations in the first place. I had none and thus no dissapointment.
Actually had a bit of fun with forbidden reach. Whole guild was playing, ducked around with some meta events. This time around the entire guild is unsubbed, the fucking gems are time gated, and there’s absolutely zero content.
Imagine that they timegated the ring for 6 weeks, 1st week when the hype is the most for the new "patch" starts as dogsht and not worth using. Must be Blizzard.
You're looking at it from the perspective of someone able to craft 636 rings. Remember that even being able to run a +10 puts you in the top 10% of players. Think about what the other 90% are doing.
As a healer main the ring seems nice on average in keys and heroics its between 10 and 15% of my healing done and on our mistweaver I have seen as high at 28% of their healing done, but at the end of the day blizzard said that this ring wasn't gonna be a like bis or required like how the last ring was, this patch is purely to help casual players and people who are alt heavy gear alts, the transmogs are decent too
@ that was on my BrM in a +10 CoT that we ++’d in 28 mins haha. So approx like 50.4 million or 38k healing per second while in combat if we account for 3 mins worth of “RP” or running around with no wipes. Super bad if my crap math is accurate.
@@onkek i feel like you underestimate how much 38k hps is when the ring is a bad ilvl still and you only have 1 healing gem, in raid this probably goes up to 120k hps from the ring alone, that is ALOT.

TLDL: the ring is currently trash. im totally disappointed but not at all surprised. oh well. also, healing this season is mostly burst healing, so having a little trickle heal here and there is almost completely useless. peak design
They will tune it, think they didnt want another forbidden reach overtuned rings on the get go. I think they will buff it for sure, they wouldnt want that ring to just exist and no one wearing it. Nope
@@gollese they said they want it to compete with next raid tier heroic rings and just get replaced by mythic track rings of season2. so expect huge hotfixes
I think the patchnotes for the dungeons are wrong. I did a +13 arakara for example and the poison at the boss definitly does more than 10% less damage.
@@thierryfaquet7405 It doesnt matter where you apply the nerf. 2 * 0,9 (10% nerf) * 2 (200% key level scaling) and 2 * 200 * 0,90 both equal 3,6 so it doesnt matter at which point the 10% nerf is applied.
Yes you have to. Can only skip the very first like 10 minutes of intro quest. If you don’t need the ring, skip doing it on alts till it’s more powerful in a couple of weeks. The catch if you didn’t do anything for a couple of weeks is generous.
I read somewhere that you can also buy the gems you have acquired as warbound until equip and transfer them, I think they were pretty cheap too? Like 50 of the new currency (got around 2k just by doing the quest line and the weekly’s)
Alts can get the ring almost immediately by skipping the quest and you can purchase extra gems on your main and send them over. No need to do content on alts.
You've gotta either be capping or somehow simming wrong. Simply unequipping my ring is only a 5.5% loss for me. No way that switching to a ring with 1/3 of the stat budget of a regular one (plus a damage proc) is losing you 22%. The new ring is currently terrible still, ofc.
The mastery stat gem SNAPSHOTS your current Mastery. You literally want to press Alchemical Chaos, not get the mastery buff, then hit Tempered Potion and equip the gem. Crazy bug lol
I am sure that this time around they released it in a weak state so they can carefully buff it rather than give overpowered state from start which might skew various rankings.

I do not understand why blizzard chose this route again. It was an issue last expansion, they showed they don’t want it op, but also caused it to be weaker for classes that needed the secondary stats more. Either go OP, or don’t do it again.

Activision stock prices would double overnight if they inherited both of these capabilities. Instead, they continue to show how off base they are and how disconnected from their community they chose to be.

Ran the healing g for the lulz. Was like 8% overall healing with 40% overheal. Legit garbage.

You just log into your alt, skip the intro and get the ring. Then go kill two rares to get your gems.

For me it simmed as a 22k dps loss as is and a 34k dps boost with the right gems for my class
@timmy3211 wasn't simming; I ran a dungeon and noticed a ~400k difference in dmg, when I am usually very consistent.

Finished the full questline, all quests and got my ring with all gems socketed in about 2 hrs. Gg, see you next season.

POE 2 is two years away from being two years away. Many, many problems with the end game and slot machine crafting, but it will eventually get there.
