- Hey guys! In today’s video, I’m sharing with you my foolproof eyeshadow technique! This is the general technique that you see me use in almost every tutorial, so I thought i’d make a dedicated video teaching you how to do it! So many women I meet are afraid of eyeshadow and say they don’t know how to apply it. I share all of my tips and tricks (step by step) to help you achieve perfect eyeshadow at home! Danielle Zadora best product for longevity on the waterline is a gel liner, like the pot kind you would use for a wing, then set with powder. Actually setting any liner with powder will help it last longer in the waterline. Or a good trick is to use a kohl liner first because it grabs better than a waterproof liner would, then go over the kohl with a waterproof liner. I am a makeup artist and these are all tips I use on my clients. Hope that helps! 😊
I have literally been sitting around wishing for a good beginner's guide for eyeshadow. Most of the guides I have found are more geared toward people with some knowledge and skill who need a few tips instead of being geared to someone with little to no knowledge and skill in how to do eyeshadow. I'd love to see an in-depth highlighter tutorial, especially tips and tricks for those with large pores and/or textured skin, fine lines etc- how to still get a nice glow without emphasising every imperfection :)

So basic but so perfect. The tip about holding the brush closer to the end might have blown my mind.
I love this look. I've stopped using my Modern Renaissance palette because it always feels so dramatic, but this look is so light but smoky. Going to have to try it.

I love that you continuously try to teach and provide tips to your viewers 💕 One additional tip: if you're a waterproof mascara user like me, to remove mascara marks, rather than waiting for it to dry, take a qtip with a little bit of makeup remover and dab the spot then reblend the eyeshadow after.

Im new to your channel. You must be a makeup artist. This is hands down the best experience to learn to do great eyes. You are even better than Goss at explaining and showing and making it seem achievable. I'm getting just a wee bit tired of men trying to sell brushes. Sometimes I watch these types of videos and feel embarrassed for what I have been doing wrong, like the person is judging me or putting me down. This was definitely your calling❣️I can tell you are enjoying helping everyone with your videos 😇 I would love to see different videos focusing on doing different eye techniques, like a cut crease, and any technique using colors and kind of explaining how you look at a colorful palette and know what to do! This was so awesome Allie!! I would really love if you could do an in-depth video on knowing how to put eyeshadow colors together. I really struggle with stepping out of my neutral colors as you did here. I see girls have these beautiful eye looks with beautiful colors but I will just stare at the palette and can not envision what colors will look good together or the placement of the colors. I do think I could get the placement easier just using the lightest as the transition and gradually use the darker shades and then use a light shimmer on the inner/center of the lid. I would love to be able to look at a palette and see an eye look, be able to look at the colors and know what would look good together. I know some of this just takes time playing with shadows but Im sure you have some great tips on putting colors together. Or even if you have a hand full of colors you know always works well together to get us started. You do eyeshadow so beautifully....it’s perfection!

I've just discovered this channel today, and I love it! its very no nonsense, calm and easy to follow, and I love how smoothly you articulate what you are doing. I feel like a lot of Tubers nowadays tend to over talk, bombard you with silly sound effects and crazy editing or just act stupidly to fill gaps, but I don't get that here and its great. Just sensible instructions and recommendations, reminiscent of Tati (who I adore) but very much yourself in your own space. Looking forward to exploring more of your tutorials !!

This was very helpful! I’ve been watching other TH-camrs who say not to set your eye primer, but I really haven’t been enjoying how it looks on me. Your makeup style is much more similar to mine (although I certainly don’t have your skills!), so I will go back to setting my primer and trying to achieve a softer, more blended look. Beautiful, as always.
