Not only did Pierre sign up 200k more people but we had to pay $15.

The conservatives had 400 000 who actually voted.
I think they said on this show that 40% of those who signed up… actually voted in the last Liberal leadership race.
Do the math, it isn’t that impressive.

@Niko-iv4ch It will be interesting to see what the party announces in terms of the voting process. In the last Ontario Liberal leadership race I don't know about everyone but I live in an Ottawa suburb and the voting location was completly inaccessible without a car.
It will also be interesting to see if the Carney "lead" that most observers think exists helps him to depress turnout the way Trudeau did in 2013 or if his numbers are weaker than his endorsements

Really enjoying this show but Karina Gould blew me away, again, because I watched her interview on the Herle Berly. Keep it up guys, great job.

53:00 if you want them engaged you need to have and advertise things that are easy to find out about on a quick search online, and have them consistently not just when an election or leadership roles around.
Even as someone in my 30s when I tried looking up the liberal party, events and ways to get involved there was basically nothing. There were a couple phone training things and that's it. Like wtf that is not a first time get people involved thing. The other options were go to your MPs office, send them mail/email, fill out a form on the Liberal website for feedback or sign up for their emails to get spammed constantly with requests for money. Those were the only options provided to me, there was even a good way to keep up with what the party and the people in it were saying let alone a good way to get involved.

Donald Trump united Canadians, being pro-pipeline is now a patriotic cause.

In like fairness, I like stayed until like Miss Betty, I mean like Corinna was like introduced to like the Romper Room. Times are very, very, very different as another candidate has said. I will not be voting for Corrina as any choice.

Listen to them talk about how to keep a tax on Canadians through keeping a business only carbon tax. They think Canadians are stupid. They are proposing raising taxes.

Don’t forget about the Carbon tariff on imported products.

Is this supposed to be branded "Curse of Politics" or is that an error?

@@InformationRequired I think so, they said they’re going to do a podcast every day for the next month for the Ontario election. Way too much content if you ask me. There’s almost no point of listening if Kory‘s not there.

Karina Gould, so bright but so trite,.
I'd love to vote for her. She's young but she's old and tainted by Liberal arrogance..
Yeah I think an outsider would be better..
She's not in touch with modern electoral politics...
She's rather concede power to Conservatives as part of a duopoly than to embrace a true multi-party system and work with another party to hold a minority government together...
Too bad, so sad..she's good, but Karina bad.

My research is very clear on this: Canadians want big polluters to pay because it is FAIR. The strong perception is that me as an individual is a small polluter, and I am being targeted more than the biggest polluters. This change is about shifting climate policy on to FAIR ground.

I love the Diplomat but I'd have really appreciated some more substantial questions. Maybe one asking her to explain her wanting to stop trickle down economics line she keeps using. What does she mean by it, what policies or approaches to policy will that change?
I know what trickle down economics means, in the general normal sense. But she's used it for people like Mark Carney before he had any policy out and doesn't seem to follow the normal definition of it. So it'd have been great to get an explanation of that
