Been playing with these for about a year now. Durability has held up incredibly well. Faces and bases are both the same color as they were when they started.
I think this is exactly how i would've reviewed these clubs. Thank you for the time, effort and thought you put into creating this video. I look forward to watching more of your videos
@@elliottkent9037 still holding up. If you end up in sand traps a lot you will get some wear. Mine still look almost new, despite the fact that I can be pretty rough with them on the range or even the course. For the price it was a great investment for someone like me.
I'm a new golfer I've been looking at new clubs instead of these hand me downs from my brother in-law and been looking at reviews your review really helped me decide for my first brand new set.
If I was starting out I would’ve gone with these. I started and still have my Stratas, they’re a good starter but after seeing this review, Stix is a better option
So.. I just ordered a set today.. PGA tour Superstore had the 14 piece set w/bag for 799. ( and free delivery) .. waiting for them and hitting the range.. cant wait
I got excited hoping they would have the +1 option there for that price as well but they didn’t 😂 I will definitely be buying one of these sets for sure
Im looking into getting my first set. Stix seems like a good bet. Id love any owners 2 cents: I was thinking by of taking their assessment and getting the performance set for $999… but you can get the Play Club Set at costco for $480 which seems like a really good deal. Is it worth it to save up for the performance set, or is the play set good enough to go for?
I@@John-jt6elI'm not OP, but I'm on my second season with mine. Absolutely love them. I have replaced the putter and driver, primarily because I wanted to. (Putter was good enough but found something I like better, and driver...well, everyone wants a shiny new driver!) For the price, I literally have zero complaints. Sold the putter and driver to get a little back. Literally probably the best purchase I could have made as a new golfer, as I'm still super happy with them as I've gotten a LOT better.
I wish they offered a steel shaft option. I see too many people complaining about graphite across all brands. If you never, *ever* hit fat, graphite works fine; but I haven't met a weekend warrior yet who doesn't regret buying graphite and hasn't broken at least one.
They recently came out with steel shafts. I remember asking them on their facebook page like a year ago if they planned for steel shafts and they said it was in the works...and here they are delivering
They seem solid, not a fan of the driver though, Local topgolf knockoff place has them to replace some of the uber cheap clubs they use. I do want to give the other clubs a shot though. I use the kirkland stiff driver and it's awesome
Hi! Amazing video! I am planning to buy this, I have been playing for a month now, only with irons still. The question I have is what shaft flexibility should I use in the configuration? I know it depends on my gameplay... but the default is 'stiff'? Or should I go with 'regular'?
@@haydensullivan6659 I haven't had any issues with them, I went with the silver irons instead of the black options because I knew I was going to wear them down, but I'm happy with the entire set, I wish I went with a more forgiving shaft but I'm still working my way to becoming a scratch golfer.
Buyer beware: I broke the head off the driver with about 2 months of use. Never broke a club before. Seeing scattered reports of this all over the internet. Thank goodness I bought the steel shaft irons. Seems like the graphite clubs have serious quality control issues.
I own a full set and love them but i do hate the fact that just after a round or so they are scratched up being painted instead of the stainless steel.
I’m stuck because i I have a ping eye 2 set and am looking at buying these because I found a full set of irons and wedges for 320$ would this be a good deal?
I'm a fairly new golfer. I've always been good at most sports but golf kicks my butt. I love it though and could care less how good I play compared to others. I appreciate watching someone that honestly isn't a super low handicap. So much more encouraging. Great video and review.
I bought this set last year, and I've taken them to the range about 30 times. The irons/hybrid are excellent. They are light, and the center of the face has a TON of pop. When you juggle/bounce a ball on the short-irons, and you hit the center of the face, WOW. The ball just GOES. But the driver is very weak, (only goes 20-25 yards further than the 4h) and the putter (for ME) is simply TOO HOT. You will send a LOT of shorter putts wayyyyy too far. I'd recommend just buying the irons/hybrids, and get a different putter/woods.
Don’t buy these clubs, I bought the set of irons and the 7 snapped the head off within the first two weeks. It was not replaced because I put my own grip on it.
9 out of 10 is not the equipment, it's the operator, if your swing is shit, then you will be playing shit golf, with a great golf swing, you will be able to play great with a rake and shovel....

How is the quality? Is it worth the money?

Really appreciate it!
I've had these clubs for a year and half now. Still love them! Great quality. I've played around 60 rounds with them
Have you had any issues with the black coating losing its color?
I have been going back and forth on if I want to purchase these clubs, this video has sold me
Same here.
Bought them 6 months ago. Best decision I’ve made in that regard.
Are they still holding up?

Been contemplating buying a set for a while but this video just sold me. The clubs should be arriving in a few days, thanks for being my dealbreaker 🤙
Any updates?

I just ordered mine a little earlier also! I'm pretty stoked.
Did this come with bag?
How have the clubs treated you over the last several months?
After playing with them over time, are they still holding up with the black color or do they scratch easy

8 months later I’d love to know your thoughts

how they holding up, got my set coming on tuesday

Thank you! I’ve been searching for a first set. Everyone on FB marketplace are selling full sets comparable to a new set of stix. Might give it a go
Would you recommend the Stix over the Callaway Edge Costco set for the casual golfer?
I’m in the same boat right now . Which one did you go with
i’ve played both. Callaway Edge set all day long. Half the price and better quality.
Was looking for this exact information right here. Thank you@@donw9638
Good review thanks man I’m gonna grab the 11 club set
Awesome, you're going to love them.
How do you know if you should use a “stiff shaft” or ”active “? I just started golfing and I’m trying to figure this out.

Yeah for people bothered by that I like that they now provide the option for stainless steel as well.
What’s your favorite 4iron to replace and bring with this set?
I’m stuck because i I have a ping eye 2 set and am looking at buying these because I found a full set of irons and wedges for 320$ would this be a good deal?
I have a Srixon zx5 driver a zx 7wood and an odyssey putter which I didn’t plan on replacing anyway but have been wanting a set of degree wedges
Yeah if you can find a full set of Stix in good condition, with the right shafts for you for $320? Thats a killer deal.
Super helpful review thanks!
They have them at the Scheels in my town. I tried them and ended up buying a set. They feel solid
Have u had any problems with them yet?
@@elliottkent9037 I had no issues. I liked the bag it came with too but I ended up selling mine after a few months. I bought a set of Takomo 101T.
This feels so much like an advertisement😅😅
I really thought this guy was a better golfer before seeing this video
I've never been shy about the fact I'm a completely mediocre 11 handicap ha

Just about any used set of Pings will treat you just as good for a lot less money.
Ben Hogan did the same thing , try before you buy program
Excellent review.
Thanks Brian!
With your Mizunos, what shaft were you fitted into?

Too good to be true. Fix your thumbnail dude.
Man, hows that for professionalism. Appreciate the catch, fixed.
Thinking about buying this
Great video
I’d be scared to take my wire brush to these
Have how the stix irons lately?
They charge 999 for 12 clubs now not 14. They also need to get a 7 wood instead of the 5 wood when they give you a 5 iron already
I had to return mine 2 shafts broke within a month I would avoid

Terrible quality control!
I have a set and hate them. Sorry, I think I wasted my money.
Can you please detail what you hate about them? I’m curious what was bad about them
Interested in selling them?
Why is everyone so scared to scratch the paint off? lol literally hit the ground with em every shot
