I'm far from Being a pro but So far I've got some old school tiger yoyos which are bad, Duncan butterfly XT which didn't exceed the hype, a pulse which I regret getting, a neo which keeps ripping apart my strings, a mosquito that won't sleep for long but returns insanely fast and a dragonfly which turns out to be the best sleeper I have and it has no ball bearings just a plastic axle. Any recommendations on good sleeper yoyos under 20$ to just chill and do some beginner tricks??

hey, after watching this video i went and checked my duncan imperial and untangled it, wound it tight and wound it loose, threw it hard and soft and it still wont sleep, am i doing something wrong or should i return it and get a new one?

Sometimes those yoyos are pushed together too tight to allow the yoyo to sleep. Other times the axle is not centered. When this happens the place where the string touches the axle is not smooth, so it will not sleep.
