Everything fits in my closet at once, but I purposefully do a seasonal wardrobe swap. I like having my closet half empty! Feels more relaxing. I use underbed storage to store the out-of-season clothing.
I don't have to swap my clothes out at all, because we don't have four seasons over here. Everything I own has to be in my bedroom and I can only fit my bed, a small desk, and a desk chair in here, so the closet has to serve alllllll the storage functions. The tetris game is real.
I swap seasonally between the small closet in the bedroom and the dressing. But that’s it. I am no minimalist but I only have a couple of pieces in each category. I don’t mind wearing the same thing every week 🤷♀️
I also have to swap closets, due to the different seasons in Portugal and also because of little space in the apartment. This spring/summer I’m trying the 333 project to make the most use of my clothes and figure out the ones I really love 😊
I worked with a Konmari consultant about a year and a half ago, which was really great in helping me declutter and get creative with organizing (since I have roommates to consider), but one part of the system is having all clothes hung together regardless of season. So I tried it and figured it would help me with my "out of sight, out of mind" brain, but I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't work for me and I really have to go back to seasonal wardrobes. It'll be tough because of the storage limits I have, but I think having everything visible was overwhelming and I need the refresh for my own mental health, lol.
I keep all of my clothes together but I need to rethink my clothing situation because I am not wearing everything at once and ending up wearing the same shirts because of decision fatigue. Also your toy rotation comment is having me re think how I gave my dog's toys out because they ate starting to have alot of them, senior babies collect alot of toys.
I have the hardest time getting rid of clothes and stuff. There's a journal I have to use called Throw It away by Guru Notebooks to help me think through it.
I don’t swap out clothes because I live in a warm climate. I do keep a box for winter specific items like scarves and heavy sweaters if it gets super cold or I travel somewhere cold. What actually takes up space is all these heirloom pieces from my grandmother. I can’t wear them all but I can’t bear to get rid of them, especially since she had beautiful taste in clothes.
Fortunately, I don't need to swap my clothes out, but I always like to declutter items I don't wear. I did this recently. I hate linen clothes for that reason.

Caitlin O always swap my clothes out for the seasons! It makes life a lot easier!

Try taking your linen dress out of the dryer while still a little damp and hanging to dry, it may keep it from wrinkling as badly.
THE TOP STRUGGLE. Agreed completely, I find it so hard to find cute tops that I like the fit of

I don't have to swap my clothes out, but every spring I do a cleanout of my closet and then make a list of what I need so that I shop intentionally 😊

I decluttered a ton so all my clothes fit . I also have a ton of closet space in my apt which is one of the many reasons I love my home 😊

I live in Florida, United States so we go through all seasons sometimes in the same week lol.

This is beyond satisfying ☺☺

Would you try baby tees!? I found that those are more flattering tops that aren't cropped or boxy -- I hate the boxy tee 😭
Lool for linen tops, I'm in love with mine from H&M with lots off wringels😅
I am folding clothes while watching this….. i need to go through my closet ASAP things are overflowing
In Cape Town we can have all four seasons in 1 day.
