eh. it doesn't really work that well for me. melted down edges a lot of the time and the cut is way too clean it's all pixelated. wish we could just get an actual tool from the developers
Thank you for this! After having a playing around with it all I actually figured out that if you select the feather layer again after you've filled it and just fill it again it block fills the whole layer and saves having to duplicate a load of times!

When I increased the feather scale, it did the opposite, the outline went inwards not outwards to create that silhouette.. it didn’t work for me. What went wrong?

Hi thanks for the tutorial! Very helpful! I wanna ask why is my outline has glow effect? How to get rid of it and get solid outline? I tried multiply and merge them but still there is the glow on the outline, thank you
hi! you have probably added too big blur size, to get rid of the glow do this- once you have all of the Gaussian blur layers merged into one layer, use the selection tool set to automatic ( make sure you have the color fill option turned off), select the area outside the outline and when your pencil is still in the screen swipe it to the left or right to adjust the color drop threshold; once you have that selected go to actions menu - add- cut . this should get rid of the glow, hope it helps

When you do the cut part what layer are you on cause I thought it was the white one but mine just cuts that
Procreate should add a stroke option to their layers too. It's a total hassle to keep moving my artworks to ps just for this. It is tedious in making this style in procreate.

Alright that’s smarter than how I was gonna try to do it lmao
Is there a way to smooth the end products jagged edges? Would love to see a smooth tool in Procreate. Your white outline looks pretty smooth. I used a circle to follow along with so the edges were not jagged.
I think you need to choose a bigger canvas size. For example, if you chose a 2500x2500 canvas it’s gonna be pretty pixely compared to a 5000x5000 canvas :) hope this helped!
I created a very crispy pixelated outline. Nice. Love Procreate. Def did not worked on a 300dpi 500px canvas. It was just pixelmadness no matter how many % I used. So still no solution if you want to outline an emote

you have to turn off the background layer( turn off the visibility) and the save the drawing as png, hope that helps
