I got a 2019 leftover the other day for $9500 USD out the door. Great bike, looks amazing, but the stock tires do suck. In the twistys you can feel it start getting a little wobbly. With nicer / stickier / sportier tires, the thing actually shreds corners pretty well. And the torque makes me noticeably fast.
I was considering this bike for a time but ended up with a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 that I'm very happy with.
The W800 In it's original 650 version came out a couple of years BEFORE the Bonneville.
The original Kawasaki w1 was actually a copy of a BSA which came out in 1965, the original Bonneville T120 was produced from 1959 to 1975. Interesting bit of history to read there.
Great retro bike and a capable all rounder.
This is a great running and riding bike, I was surprised how the suspension felt on it, my guzzi suspension is rough aka feels all the bumps and potholes etc, I thought this would have been the same but I am glad I was wrong. I am 6 foot and the bike fits me well, handles great, runs great, the only downside is I haven't been able to find many aftermarket parts for it. All in all great bike, I paid 6999 for mine which is a 2019 with 1 mile on it. I had my choice of this or a Vulcan 650 for 7200, but the looks is what sold me on the W800.
Hey chuck, we agree. The ride and feel of the W800 will shock you. Scotty owns a Bonneville and LOVED this bike
@@ccpowersports It has decent power in my eyes also, I'm 230 pounds and it moved pretty good with me on it.
