Very, very interesting! As a matter of fact, your approach to solving the problem has this quality of scientific rigor and interest. Really liked all your objectivity and checking point by point each of the elements that could be defective or which was perhaps simply not optimal. This shows a way to respond at a technical challenge with a reliable solution and by that to show that before attaining perfection you should expect to face several unforeseen events. Excellent teaching!
A little mod: just watched again and something I would have done is (yeah, I know it's been e years since now, but hey!)
Talking a little about the voltage used. Thanks again

Awesome video! Just tried it right now, and it worked! Only change for me to make is to ditch a 3D printed casing or making it thicker.

Nope, it is probably your igniters, you can use either granulated or powdered sugar. AND, you don't even have to grind the ingredients up, it is all in the "packing"!
Also, an issue you might be have if the engines are not lighting is that your ingredients may have absorbed to much humidity (water) and become hygroscopically, saturated.
But, more likely it is your igniters. We have been using PVC rocket engines for over 50 years now! So keep at it!
