Thank you so much!! I have this exact machine! I didn't even consider removing the plate to clean it, and I hate to say... there was a perfectly pressed bowl of fluff around the bobbin holder! I couldn't even see the screws or anything when I took the plate out! It was horrific, but it was super satisfying to clear out :D Thankyou!

Thank you for this video! I'm getting back to sewing after 3 1/2 yrs in an RV and need to clean my machine! I have a question about the bobbin winder. When I tried to fill the bobbin, there is a TERRIBLE screeching noise! Any idea what that is and how to fix it?

I just got this machine from my daughter in law and when I try to wind a bobbin the needle keeps going up and down the whole time I wouldn’t want to tear the machine up and I’m afraid to wind any bobbins . Is this normal or is something wrong? It sews like a charm. It is exactly same brand and model as yours and I have no idea how to use needle threader either. I would greatly appreciate it if you knew how to use these items. I’m just learning
You must push the bobine holder onto your right side to desengage the needle. You will find the instruction booklet on : www.janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/retired/embroidery/inst-book-mc8000.pdf

Hi there! I have not ever taken this machine in to service it, but would if I couldn’t troubleshoot it myself and the machine was unusable.
Don't blow into the machine, it can drive the fluff deeper in. Also if you use alcohol wipes, make sure they are lint free wipes.
I'm having a hard time finding a video on how to use the threader.. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. thank you.

what does it mean when I get message saying foot control is not connecting?
my threader doesn't work can it be fixed I was told by a repairer that it couldn't
