Your photo at 8:14 is outstanding...great light, great composition. And, your drone work is fine! Thanks for sharing this video.

You know I love this video!!! I remember watching you drive up to find your camping spot…then seeing you filming yourself…and flying the drone…and then catching the 3 of you in my drone shot up on the mounds…and finally bumping into you inside the store to get your contact info! Great work!

Thank you, Elias! I hope to bring my beginners drone techniques to the Hanksville area during the heat of August. As a landscape photographer who also does astrophotography, the clear moonless skies over this landscape should be breathtaking....so dark and low humidity should reveal stars not seen in most places. I can hardly wait. Thank you for adding to my inspirations!

      Appreciate it!
I was pretty bummed this trip wasn’t timed right with the moon cycle:( I’ve not been able to do a lot of Astro in these places due to that.
I wish you the best luck with weather on your trip!

Beautiful work. I have always loved this area, but it is hard to paint as no one believes it really exists! Still, I love it and am coming back there in a few weeks to paint. Keep at it.

Moonscape is right next door to where you were... Google maps call it moon overlook. Bentonite Hills, Long Dong Silver, Factory Butte and Moonscape Overlook are close together. Each is incredibly unique and stunningly beautiful.

They truly are! I actually did 2 more videos after this one on Long Dong Silver and Moonscape:)

Nice video , ill be in this area this friday , do you required a 4x4 to go to this place? i would like to go thank you very much

      Nice!
Definitely don’t need a 4x4. Some areas get a liiiiiittle rough with clearance but nothing too crazy. I imagine you would be able to get a car back there, just be careful!

wtf is your lens trying to do with the jumping :DDDD (i assume its not your editing)

Man idk but I’ve been trying to solve that mystery for a while!
I have a G Master 16-35mm f2.8 and I believe it’s called “lens breathing”, but I haven’t found a solution to solving it yet because nothing seems to work.
I would like to just get a new lens but they’re extreeeeemely expensive so I’m kind of stuck with this right now😕
      I’m sorry, I know it’s quite distracting!
