I went back and forth so many times on purchasing a lucky bag but in the end decided against it for the same reason I no longer buy advent calendars. I’d rather just spend my money on items I know I want. But that’s just me. I’m glad you received quite a few things new to you. That is great! Especially as a beauty reviewer! 🙌🏼
Hi lovely Rebecca !! Nice few goodies 😊 yes it’s definitely a lucky dip and nice if you get a good one ❤ . I prefer just to purchase what I know I need and will use everyday basis 🤗
I’ve had that Ro & Co dry paste sry shampoo. I love it but you have to remember to use it on day two before you get really oily. It’s a combination of a dry shampoo and a styling product. I have fine hair so adding a little volume before things get really oily is great. It does a good job of both “cleaning” and styling. I get a couple of extra good hair days after each wash.
I so appreciate this comment. I did a little research on it and it looks like they say you can use it right after a wash when the hair is wet before you style. So that sounds really promising as well but I appreciate what you told me here as it’s very useful
Hi Rebecca, I think you got a lucky bag, certainly good value for money! I debated purchasing the XL Bag but I decided that I had indulged enough leading into the holidays. I would have been pleased to receive the items as most would have been new to me. I have the Sonia G Jumbo Base and CT Magic Body Cream, which I use daily.
Omg we received identical twin bags/boxes! I got mine earlier today (also live in CA) and I was so excited when opening it. For me personally, I loved and felt lucky to receive the Sonia G Jumbo Base brush, and the Viseart and Danessa Myricks palettes. I actually look forward to using all the items, except for the pimple patches (will re-gift, thankfully not my skin type any longer), and the Hindash highlighter. I agree that his products are beautiful, and I love my Hindash eyeliner from a previous box, but based on the swatches I’ve seen online, Peak Heat is just too dark as a highlighter for me. Hopefully I can sell or trade with someone. But overall I think it was a very good bag, so yes, I think you were lucky 😉! And even though it’s still early, I have watched all the unboxing videos so far, and I still think “our” box compares pretty well. Thanks so much for sharing! And it’s lovely that you pass along the items you already have in future giveaways to make someone else lucky.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thanks for the tip, I would not have thought of that! Someone else who also received the pimple patches in their bag mentioned that they are good for bug bites too.
I think you got a great bag! I really wanted a big palette in mine so you got lucky I think getting that big palette. I got a little quad from Charlotte Tilbury, still good. Great Video!
I ordered one - and I already have the "bigger items" you revealed in yours so hoping I don't get those (but as you say, a free Sonia G brush is a good day). Just joined you! Looking to hook up with others like us in the beauty space.
@NotFitforPrintBeauty how do you store them all? I have mine all in a brush holder and am using them all but I see some people store them in a drawer all nicely
I think your Lucky bag was really good. Mine only tallied up to about $312.00 I wish they wouldn't include these weird hair products. I got an Oribe detangling shampoo that costs about $50 that I won't use (makes my hair greasy - not good reviews) and some masks for $50 that I won't use. So my bag was so-so. I did get a Sonia G eye brush, the ND Roxa palette, and a travel size Viseart palette, and an Auric lip balm which I liked.
Nice job Rebecca. I like that you get right into the content & keep things moving so that video is not 50 mins long. I am interested in the YSL shade 44-which would match the liquid one-but I don’t think you reviewed that one today. I’m just mostly interested in that one because I have that liquid blush already.
@ that would be awesome. I’ll keep an eye out for it. It’s nice to see them tried online before we buy-especially on these ones that are so pricey. I know I’m kind of “against the grain” on this, but I’m not overly into that Patrick Ta formula. I like some of his other products, but I bought one of those blush duos before and it just didn’t really do it for me. I’m interested in the YSL ones though!
Rebecca, what a lovely "Lucky Bag". Thanks for sharing. FYI the R&Co paste is fantastic. You take a small amount of the paste and rub it between your palms, which then turns it into a product that you smooth lightly through you hair. It holds the style amazingly well without feeling sticky, and it leaves no residue. I have fine thin hair, but a lot of it. It is one of the very few products that ensures my style (after I blowdry or run through a curling iron) stays put. It leaves the hair malliable and can act as a dry shampoo as needed. Totally worth a try. The container is small, but it lasts for months even when used regularly. R&Co products overall are terrific, IMO.
This is such an incredibly useful comment. And my youngest daughter is exactly like that thin hair but tons of it and it gets greasy so quickly. She’s going to love this
Such fun! Thank you for showing us. I usually don’t order a lucky box. I prefer buying what I really want. But, I have to admit, I adore HELLO KITTY! The clips are great! Most of my collection consists of little metal boxes. But, I do have a HELLO KITTY! shower curtain and soap dispenser. My husband cringes every time he see them. I bought the Hindash Highlighter in Liliana : Lilac Moon. It’s beautiful. It just glistens and sort of looks wet. Hope you’re all staying safe.❤️🤗😘
So much fun Rebecca!! I’m still waiting for mine to arrive! I’m in California so hopefully I get me some goodies .. my first Lucky bag and it’s like Christmas with Rebecca!!! Love the hair clips!! Love&Light from Temecula 🤍🤍😇😇
I ordered a lucky this year, I had skipped a couple of years after receiving the ABH Riviera palette 2 years in a row. Still waiting for mine to arrive but I am in Florida.
I am late watching this. I love R&Co products. I have this Dry shampoo paste. I have very short hair that is on the oily side. I get my hair a little wet before using this product. I really work this product in my hands & fingers before applying. My stylist turned me onto R&Co. I love their products! I use their Flexible Paste daily. This is also perfect for my short pixie cut!
You look adorable with the Hello Kitty barette and I love your reading glasses! The Himdash Gradiant Highlighter is gorgeous! The Wayne Goss cherry gloss sounds pretty. I think you have a really good bag❤️ You look lovely 🌺
I have always wanted one of these XL lucky bags and always missed the date and they were sold out then this year I went back and forth and decided against it because last year's was not great except the SG brush some people got and I didn't want to take the chance to spend that much and then not get anything I wanted.
Started out at 22 just doing fashion styling but I had been an English major. Wrote a story for a smaller magazine just because they were in a pinch. Realized I liked it more than crawling around on the floor pinning up dresses. Pretty soon I worked my way up to editor of that small streetwear mag. That mag blew up and became very cool. I took other jobs and so on. All the while I was teaching school because I didn't trust the work and then finally I left and just did editing, writing for brands, doing PR releases. But the industry isn't what it was. Everything is digital now.
OOHHH I'm excited to watch this. I had one in my basket and was convinced that it was basically like gambling - the more I thought about it I agreed. If there was something I wanted for $180 I would just purchase it. I am sooo excited to see what you recvd!
LOOK AT YOU IN YOUR WASH U SWEATSHIRT!!!! 🙌🏼🥳👏🎉 I love your glasses, too!!! I never do the Lucky Box, but this was a good one! I have not bought the Hindash highlighter yet but I have been so tempted!
I’m still waiting for mine to arrive. I’d be okay if I got this variation, but not thrilled. I got the brown Danessa Myericks last year, and it’s still sitting here in the bubble wrap because I could tell by looking at it that the colors are so bad for my cool skin tone, and I’m not the kind of makeup user who plays around with makeup in that way. The pink one would at least not be so dark and yellow, but I don’t put dark pinks on my eyes and I’m not going to build my own cheek color in creams or whatever someone might do with it. Hindash makes great makeup (LOVE the black liquid liner) but that highlighter looked way too dark and golden for me. The other items looked good. I agree that there seem to be few repeats from previous years, which makes the box fun.
I am so excited and nervous for my XL bag to arrive tomorrow. I didn't buy the Roxa or the I Need a Warn palette in the hopes of getting one in my bag. Fingers crossed! I have that viseart palette which i bought a few years ago when they restocked it. I own that Sonia G. Brush and I love it!
I’m so excited! This is my first year getting the Beautylish bag XL! It’s supposed to get here today, so this review is fun to watch & wonder if I’ll get any of the same items!
Hi dear Rebecca, thanks for sharing with us when opening!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I always hesitate and don't order these, cause not everything you can use, mostly, however this is a good value, i think!!! Sending you lots of love!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty yes, that's what i mean, i do not have a channel and i am not a makeup artist, so, it's more quickly a waste, but you really had good luck this time!!! This is a good box! I got the $75 box but had it sent to my parents house since I knew I’d be visiting on the week of 20th so I am excited to see what I got on Monday.
The Hindash alone is worth it. I have the lavender one. It's a nice wash. I just ordered the Large one because I have more hair care/body products for 3 lifetimes. Still waiting to receive my Large one in New York
@ I am no slouch with makeup though I am no longer a makeup artist and could improve. I just found that they don’t swatch at all. They cling to silicone applicators, natural fibers, synthetic and even my fingers…. yet they do not want to transfer from a tool to my face. I will keep playing but it was good to try in a lucky bag where it was essentially 50% off.
@ oh you are very talented. They are hard to work with, as you know, even for someone who would know how to work with them. I will admit that absolutely
I just opened my XL bag and was a little disappointed. I love some things, but I totaled it up and it came to $279 value and it was supposed to be $300+. This was my first time getting the XL and I did better with the regular bags in years past. Oh well! Stacie xo
Yes indeed but I do not believe you can purchase the XL version because sometimes it has things like a beauty fridge or something that cannot be sent overseas
It’s so DISGUSTING that scammers have to ruin everything! I really like your box. I would be very happy with both pallets and the products you received. Living in NY I should get my box next week, but we are waiting on snow most of the week so who knows. ♥️♥️♥️
PS - Lucky bags aren’t a lunar new year thing. They are a clearance thing. It’s a way to clear out the last year and also bless customers. It started in Japan and is done all over Asia. It is called Fukubukuro.
@ so welcome, I’m in the Denham Springs area, love hearing from someone from La. One day was talking ended up three of us within 20 minutes apart, started by me saying Oak Point King Cake. Have a good one. Yes, I have a son that lives in Pelican Point
No. Not at all. Some are fabulous and others are okay. I have purchased twice and while the monetary “value” is there, it was worthless to me because I received items I would have never purchased and therefore never used. That, unfortunately, is the risk of purchasing one.
Donate the excess to your brethren in LA. Honestly, I think that would be much better than a giveaway. I know there have been posts specifically on makeup products needed in affected areas.
I'm new to beauty YT, and it seems the Lucky bags used to be better...is that so? There's very little in this that I would want, and the fact that the comments suggest this was one of the better bags confirms my decision not to buy. If you like to gamble, go for it, but it's not for me.
I would say at the least, make the packing box exciting! I know it’s helping charity but these boxes are supposed to be exclusive and a mystery. It doesn’t even look joyous. I think the Sonia G Brush and Danessa Myricks groundwork blooming ( if you use the DM blooming palette) was a win…. But that’s it! Next year I want better packaging, more finesse and pazsaz and a full box that equal a full look or an experience.
I went back and forth so many times on purchasing a lucky bag but in the end decided against it for the same reason I no longer buy advent calendars. Great box
💕💕💕
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty my box didn’t make it, we have that major cold front coming through, no telling when I will get now
I didn't know Beautylish had a box 😮
Just at the lunar new year
I debated but didn’t order this time because I got so many palettes I already had. Of course, I didn’t have these 😳
What do they call that? Murphy’s Law. If you don’t order it you would’ve loved it and if you had ordered it, it would’ve been all repeats
@ Eggzacklee
PS - Lucky bags aren’t a lunar new year thing. They are a clearance thing. It’s a way to clear out the last year and also bless customers. It started in Japan and is done all over Asia. It is called Fukubukuro.
❤️❤️❤️
Hi. How much are the boxes? They're sold out now.
150 and 75, goes up the 26th
@@NanafromLouisiana Thank You!! I'm originally from New Orleans :) Love your account name.
@@NanafromLouisiana December 26th every year? I do the Tatcha lucky bags every year.
@ so welcome, I’m in the Denham Springs area, love hearing from someone from La.
One day was talking ended up three of us within 20 minutes apart, started by me saying Oak Point King Cake.
Have a good one. Yes, I have a son that lives in Pelican Point
❤️❤️
R and co badlands was weird for me. On shorter hair it was like a sandy pumice like hair wax.
Oh no. That’s not a good thing
Wait a minute… I want a giraffe in my bag!!! 🤣
Do you have the ceilings for it?
@@NotFitforPrintBeautyvalid concerns 🤣
I’ve tried googling to see if Sonia G brush fibers are ethically sourced but can seem to find the answer. Would anyone happen to know ?
I have heard that they are indeed ethically sourced! :)
Thank you ! I’ve wanted to try the brushes but that was a concern of mine. I was thinking about getting the blush brush first.
Hi Rebecca, have a look at Ga-de cosmetics. They are an Israeli brand.
I sure will
I love blind reactions 🎉
💕💕
So and so got a giraffe 🦒 🤣
They need to give me a living room with a higher ceiling
So all bags aren't the same quality?😮 Im not buying. 😢
No. Not at all. Some are fabulous and others are okay. I have purchased twice and while the monetary “value” is there, it was worthless to me because I received items I would have never purchased and therefore never used. That, unfortunately, is the risk of purchasing one.
Exactly. It’s kind of you get what you get
Donate the excess to your brethren in LA. Honestly, I think that would be much better than a giveaway. I know there have been posts specifically on makeup products needed in affected areas.
Great idea!
You got lucky.
This is just a regular XL bag . . . Definitely not a “lucky” one.
But I did get some good stuff
Wash-U!!!!!!!!

Definitely don't need a hair tie. 😂 I'm hoping I don't get hair products. I do have a feeling this year's bag is going to be a bust for me.
This is my second year, looks like you get every year
I do have enough hair ties, it’s true
There is a 100% chance that Good Molecules will make an appearance.
Very true. It’s inexpensive so it’s great filler
I think im a pig as well.... 🤔
Yay piggies!
I'm new to beauty YT, and it seems the Lucky bags used to be better...is that so? There's very little in this that I would want, and the fact that the comments suggest this was one of the better bags confirms my decision not to buy. If you like to gamble, go for it, but it's not for me.
Yes. I think their glory days might be behind them but they’re fun still
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! This box was horrible
I do see where it could’ve been better but, I have to tell you, most years I have everything in the box already so I’m feeling lucky
