I've watched quite a few videos of flights from Lookout Mountain, I would like to try this out some day, thinking this would be a great place to start 😀 ...some day.

It's the best place to learn! I used to be an instructor there.

@@mikebarbee2217 thanks Mike, I'm sure I would try out the training on the hills, but the mountain launch not sure, although I know that's what most aim for, reaching for the clouds! The apprehension and desire is what I think would keep driving me, thanks!

@@donaldgregg9250 the more you fly off the training hills, the more you will want to fly off the mountain and be comfortable with it. even if you just fly at the training hills it's a blast! Good luck to you

@@mikebarbee2217 you really make it an encouragement, I do appreciate that. I hope that at some point in my not too distant future that I will be able to do that!

Well done! Few turn before the turn looked uncoordinated, but 3rd and 4th on the final were great. The landing was nailed!

Ethan, good job. Most 1st time high performance flights the pilot will PIO all over the place but you didn't. Next thing I noticed the camera wasn't level but still you were on the left side of the control bar for more of the flight than the right side. I think your Talon has a small right turn in it. Check your battens and then make sure the tip hasn't turned up on the right tip. If those two things are okay see that the left tip is not turned down at the back. Watch this video again and see if you too think you spent more time over on the left side of the basetube. Nice landing!!!!

    Nice landing

Also note the right tip hit first on landing. (May have a right turn.)

Also next flight pay attention if your Talon turns right easier than it turns left.

NIce flight Ethan, you seem to have a really low sink rate. Would they give you ballast to carry if it got bumpy or you needed more speed?

Has USHPA got a minimum age for pilots?
Ethan did good. But you wonder.

+Steve RX4 ...I met Ethan when he was 11/12 at Lookout Mt. Flight Park...Initially I was a bit concerned about this kid who kept hanging around launch and told me he was about ready to get his H-2. By the the time my week of vacation there came to an end, I was was in his corner re. his aspirations in hang gliding...I often kept an eye on him on the mt. and on the training hills...He was fairly quiet and I began to see that he was constantly absorbing all the nuances of flying, and safely I might add. He is surrounded by flyers (his dad was teaching at the park) , so there seemed to be a strong support system for him. I'm pretty confident he will evolve into an accomplished pilot as this video shows....p.s. Ethan, if you read this, please fly safe and keep having fun!...your friend, John Sillero
