5:56 What is the black cable in front of tension rope on the nose of the glider? Looks like it is caught between the ropes at the upper right pulley 6:09
Not sure! I've just bought the VQ Race, which is a newer model with a carbon keel and the tailplanes trim automatically with the different flap settings. The black cable looks like a loop and looks similar to the handle for the speed brakes (which this glider doesn't have), but this can't be that handle.
A LOT of set up.. I have an old Exx... and it’s a bit much on a windy day....side of a hill...etc....ie the real world.. A gentle breeze would be very difficult for this ATOS setup....
What a beauty! I thought setup was more complicated. Enjoy!
What is that tool he uses to bring the leading edges together at the nose?

Very interesting craft, but I would only fly it once a year, the setup looks brutal.
12min. A flex wing can take 15-20m
This video is 8 minutes and 44 seconds long.

Nah. It’s a similar setup time as a U2 once used to it. I set mine up on mountainsides typically.
They often rig faster than I do my Seedwings Spyder and honestly haven't seen them struggling with wind. I fly in the Alps
Flex wing pilots need to be retrained.
That just looks too easy to set up
12 mins, rigid wings are getting ridiculously sick.
