This is a very valid point - the suction cup simply doesn't work over a crack. Best way to separate the adhesive is to warm it throroughly then ease in a chisel-tipped kraft knife.
Maybe I'm just not seeing it but where is the description to buy the actual replacement glass? I see the description for the hot plate to heat gun and the kit but the kids does not include the S9 glass that you need to put back on it once you take it off. Thanks for your time
Right? Plus WHY GLASS? It's like Samsung sat down at their board meeting and asked: "how can we make smart phones even MORE fragile?" Honestly I think they only do it to boost repair revenues, even to change the battery, its behind the back too.

Will we ever get a reply on this?
No, no you can’t buy additional adhesive. In fact Samsung doesn’t even buy it. The adhesive magically appears.
Only people smart enough to google double sided tape can buy the adhesive. (Hint: 3M VHB tape...that is all)

Can my carrier tell if I did this with an oem part? Trying to avoid a damage fee when I turn mine in.
They can tell because of the adhesive
