Well there certainly are a lot of systems packed in that thing. Even a water maker! Not sure what he means by super cooled antifreeze system for the cooler and fish boxes. It's hard to say since he corrected himself. I have never seen glycol based refrigeration in a boat and that is a small boat to utilize a chiller. But maybe! It's more likely that it's typical split system ice box fridge systems like Adler Barbor, KRA or SeaFrost. That said, the most forward thinking way to do this is what Termodinamica is trying to offer with VRV where one main condensing unit can deliver refrigerant to not just air handler for air con, but for all the refrigeration needs on the boat. I'd be surprised if Boston Whaler is this advanced, but I'd be curious to find out. Ultimately, those fridges should run on 12VDC, IMO, so they don't need the genset running etc to keep the fish fresh. Or is everything running on a big bank of lithium batteries, which is the new trend right now. MJM has a new boat coming out in this price range that does this. Even the air conditioning runs on 12VDC!

If money were no object, I'd have a 45 foot trawler yacht and spend my summers cruising the fabulous Trent/Severn waterway in Ontario, Canada. From Picton, on Lake Ontario, you can travel hundreds of miles through beautiful and scenic lakes and rivers PLUS go through many locks, including the incredible Peterborough Lift Locks. Many places to stop for fuel and supplies, AND waterfront restaurants, motels and campgrounds, if that's what you prefer. I made the voyage many years ago and would love to do it again. One point...avoid July and early August because wait times can be quite long at the locks.
So you have the grill right down the back where the fuel line connects to the outboard? One perished rubber “O” ring in the fuel line connector & you have yourself a fire on a fibreglass boat at sea! Brilliant! Fire suppression extinguisher near bye? Raft on the roof to escape the burning boat? I love the look of your boat but some days I wonder if your wife designs the layout like her kitchen remodel or whether a commercial ships 100 tonne master has any input into the design at all?
No need to worry, putting fuel in this boat is just too expensive so it won't ever have any. It's best to just use it to sit around the marina and sip wine.

I hope they still make a type version for the boater that made them successful to begin with. I don't need an escalator, hot tub, and helicopter pad in my Boston Whaler. It's interesting to see them evolve into this type of market. I think of them as blue ocean/collar bullet proof, not powder puff powder room luxury. But if there's a market for a Whaler that has a million bells and whistles...I wish I was in it.
Even though it seems over flashy. It's still unsinkable. Still has the foam infused hull and all fiberglass parts and assembly are still hand done. Not by machine. It's just a fancier reliable boat.I honestly love the 405. It's the best boat to come out of Whaler HQ in my opinion.

Get rid of the prep station! It's in the way if you need to service the outboards from the cockpit. It would make it a pain if you couldn't reach the prop if you get tangled in a lobster pot or fishing line. Just too much of a lady friendly camper for my needs!
There's a walk around with a seaway door with noskid pattenr aft of the rear prep station that allows you to get at the motor well for engine service just fine. And is everyone that watched this video deaf? All of these "Features" are optional. You don't have to have anything on the boat you don't want

50 years ago my dad bought a 13 foot Boston Whaler. It has held up so well that today my sister & her kids are using it on Cape Cod.

For this money I’d opt for a used Hinckley and have an investment grade boat, Whaler has priced itself out of the Market.
Seems nice for cruising and entertaining. Doesn’t do much for me as a fishing vessel though. Tiny cockpit space aft for a 40 footer.
