Not necessarily the glam rock movement itself, but the Wardrobe for the Glam Rock movement was inspired by a professional wrestler.

I played saints row 4 before ever seeing they live, when I eventually saw the movie and this fight I laughed for a while and stopped and realised the fight was still going and broke out laughing again.

I would argue that art was imitating life in this case. They Live is a scathing criticism of Reganomics, ultra conservatism, and late stage capitalism. He made this movie because of life. We were already there.
This fight scene was epic, but if you think it's the longest, check out Hong Kong kung fu films from the 70s! "They Live" may have the longest Hollywood fight scene though.

I do not like fight scenes like this. Yet this one to me is the most important one ever to be portrayed in Art. It is symbolic that it is such a hard and long fight way over limits, one that may ruin your health to get to someone to dedicate, open himself/herself up to truth. 2020 with its Corona Agenda makes this statement plainly visible.
