I feel the reason why in BFDIA they have guest stars, or other characters overall more than TPOT is due to that season not having as many characters to work with, so to make up for it, they have guest characters to make the world feel more alive and help make BFDIA stand out, though with TPOT, it seems like that’s starting to change now that half of the contestants of that season have been eliminated.
