Very Interesting Presentation and well researched. I wish government of India listen to this and should make a committee of educationist who make extensive research so that truth comes out and make necessary changes in educational text books being taught to our childrens.

I think a bigger perspective is required here.
There certainly was a form of calculus in India and so was there in magna grecia with Archimedes.
We can even hold the opinion of a certain modernity of indian calculus.
However , in europe during that period of time we are concerned , the ferment of discovery was very much in the culture of the time, and this since the renaissance. Newton and Leibniz discovered new forms of calculus. The possibility that they could have have been inspired by indian mathematical works can be considered , however it would in no way diminish the merit of the their discoveries.
Calculus as introduced by Leibniz and newton are different in form from older conceptions of calculus. Newton's calculus for instance is motivated by mechanical considerations, the influence of Kepler is not to be underestimated.
Needless to say that the decimal indian system introduced in europe by Fibonacci thanks to its adoption by the arabes , revolutionized all sciences in Europe.

Fibonacci sequence is mentioned and Prof Bhargava of princeton has written about. He also gives the sources.

Algebra, arithmetics and Geometry all have Indian origin. And that is known little more than other aspects.

We could introduce it in Indian text books. We have to have spine to do that.
