Thank you for the detailed camera angles. I got a 74 firebird that had been rotting away. Not only was the gas tank missing, but the whole trunk floor and where the tank mounts was gone from rust. At least I have an idea of where to start now.

Your video has been a great help. I couldn't find the correct fuel sending unit for my 1974 Camaro but after watching and grabbing the part number I think I have it. A lot of vendors list one that fits but it doesn't.

I look forward to these videos! Can you please provide the stock number and vendor where you bought the fuel tank? I’m having issues finding one in stock.
    I’ve got a 74 455 T/A myself and I enjoy watching and learning!

thanks Wesley, I appreciate your comment! The tank is a Spectra Premium part # TNKGM203. I bought this tank a couple years ago, they may be made by or sold by a different company now? There is a Sherman GM203 sold at Summit, but do your research to see if it is the same tank. Otherwise you can see if you can locate a Spectra tank.

The sender/pickup is a Dynacorn T18C. I bought it from Ebay.

Nice. What was wrong with the old tank? Was there a build sheet up there when you took it down?

The original tank had some surface rust and had been painted black. I wanted a shiny new tank so I replaced it. No build sheet.
