Dear TH-cam, why are suggesting this to me 10 yrs later? Do you realize how much better my Life would’ve been had I known this existed? This is absolutely incredible! It’s Pure.
the fact that i can just run across a couple of people employing great skill and intelligence in the pursuit of just having fun and making something lovely for others to listen to is what makes youtube and the internet as a whole worthwhile to me
Not only does the young musician play his instrument at a very high level, he knows a great deal about music and improvisation. He starts minimally and builds, with both players enhancing each other’s skills. Bravo!
It’s an absolute treat for the ears - do you have any other popular Brazilian you’d recommend for people who enjoy that sound? I’ve dug extensively into the discographies of Jobim, Sergio Mendes, Romero Lumbabo, I’m sure there are many more artists I should discover.
@@ShermanKyle If you are familiar with Jobim, you may know very well João Gilberto. He is the one who mainly invented/perfected Bossa Nova's beat, playing both contemporary and old brazilian songs with it.

I like how it’s just two people, one of them is literally a little kid and they still manage to sound as full as an entire band. Most likely cuz their rythm is incredibly tight.
This is badass and so unique. Mixing genres like this is so cool. I don’t know if it’s Brazilian but that’s what it sounds like to me. Reminds me of when I jammed with my dad as a little boy, listening to him play piano. These sort of jams are the best, great bonding time. Glad you’re passing the gift of music to the next generation.
A música preferida do meu avô. Ele teve Alzheimer tão avançado chegando a ponto de não conseguir mais falar e até dificuldade pra engolir. Um dia pus essa música e ele chorou. Adorava jazz.
Are you sure he wasn’t just thinking he couldn’t make out an entire songs worth of lyrics anymore? No disrespect I just wonder if someone with Alzheimer’s could possibly think they were father gone than they actually were cause of hearing a song like this, could have equally and easily have been a beautiful moment like you described.
This is fantastic. Take 5 was my Dad’s favorite song. He passed away 45 years ago, but I still remember his taste in music. I’m sure he would be impressed by this excellent performance.

I love this so much. I never had a relationship with my grandfather before he passed, him and my mother didn’t have the best relationship. They got closer when she got older. The last time I saw him I think I was six, we were at a funeral for my baby cousin. He had handed me a five dollar bill after and told me not to tell my brothers. I had it for a while. I think one of them took it haha. I miss him a lot. Wish I could remember everything.
@peterkinberger9741 Hi Peter, Don't you think they had good teachers, practised really hard and got good? You are kind of implying that talented people are deserving, thus making untalented people undeserving. I think you maybe mistaken about talent being a gift from god. Try it out. Start learning a new skill and do one hour practise everyday for a month. I bet when you compare your ability from the first day to the last, there will be significant and noticeable improvement 👍 Then try getting an accordion (as long as you don't play it) and tell god you are deserving and without any practise play Take 5! I'm not a fortune teller, but it's not going to go well 🙀 However, i do agree very strongly with you about these people being 'artistically incredible'.
