Best Day Hike in Peru | Ausangate Trek 7 Lagunas

This is a popular trail that is rarely visited by foreign tourists, however it's very popular with local Peruvians. It's probably my favorite hike in Cusco, Peru. It's a can't miss if you are visiting Cusco, Peru.

Amazing trek that I've never heard of! Can I ask what time of year did you go? I wonder if the scenery might be different in other months (and alpacas might not be there!)

This was in June. In the Cusco region, the dry season goes from April until September. The driest months are June and July. The alpacas will be there if there are grass, which is most of the year!

Hi, my friends and I will be visiting Cusco in 3 weeks and would love to do this hike. Could anyone be able to provide how difficult is the hikes? One of my friend has serious asthma issues which she will bring her inhaler would this treks be okay to do?

You can hire a horse for this hike, however, it is high altitude even in Cusco so keep that in mind.
