When and Where was this video shot?? It is such a treat to see one of my very favorite actors-James Stacy. Loved him so much in the Lancer series. I absolutely love Robert Fuller's story about them driving in his 59 T-bird with Jim bursting out of the car and tackling 2 guys to the ground. I can just see him doing this--he was so realistic in fight scenes, and he was so physically agile and graceful in Lancer, I just loved to watch him ride a horse or just walk across a room.
So, he tried to get off with Raquel Welch after sitting her on a car bumper, she recoiled from his advances, and soon after beat him up in her trailer, aided by another woman? What a strange anecdote.
Yes - that's one of the two 'musical' films asked about here - 'Swingin Summer... something'. He does a brilliant prat fall in one scene. Had a particular flare for comedy I think. Anyone know the exact title of the film? Also are there any kind-hearted JS fans in the States who can supply downloads of some of his tv performances? They're almost impossible to access here in the UK... very frustrating!

I was a fan of Lancer and get in touch with James Stacy. First only fan pictures which he or his staff singned. Later we wrote together and he was my hero and I wrote him about my bad child time. Than he give me the advice to go to the police. I did it. My live changed. He helps me and I did it years later to him back. When he was down and in prison. He never was pädophile. Believe me. Last night watched the film that this clip refers to - Flare Up. He's quite right; Raquel is 'just awful'. JS carries her in all their scenes. It must've been really tough trying to act with her, so little to feed off. Unless the eye-candy factor was all he needed, lol! He's totally sexy and charming in it though so worth owning just for him. Bless him!
I always thought that he was so appealing. But if you do a wiki page on him, you'll see as with so many y celebrities, he was nothing to be idolized. He served prison time for assaulting an 11 yr old and there were other allegations, as well. If you note, he stated after he kissed Raquel, "I just couldn't restrain myself." And also had her on the bed in his dressing room. So much bad behavior, in and out of Hollywood. That's just reality, folks......
I'm 67, but just discovered James Stacy. I never watched Lancer, but I do recall hearing about his horrific injuries after the drunk driver hit his motorcycle and then years later hearing something about his other legal "troubles." I never followed up, though, since I didn't really remember him in his better days. Somehow, though, he popped up on my YT feed several times recently and here I am. He was a gorgeous man and it appears he managed to get his life back on track after his time in prison. I'm torn as how to feel about the charges against him regarding molesting a young girl and behaving inappropriately with other young girls. The loss of his arm and leg, the lengthy and hard adjustment to his disabilities, the loss of so many opportunities to advance his career, and the mental trauma he endured can excuse his downward spiral to some extent, but he still should have sought help and support to stop his behavior before it got out of hand. I celebrate his talents, looks, charm, and abilities to pull himself together and overcome his challenges, but I also feel heartbroken for those little girls he traumatized. I feel grief and sadness for what might have been except for the recklessness of a drunk driver. But I can still admire a fictional character named "Johnny Madrid Lancer."
I'm sorry, I couldn't hear the responses that James made, the audience and laughter was too close and loud to hear. Can someone tell me what James said?
This film is sad because they were such big stars and then reality hits and then they are reduced to talking about their younger days with audiences who would rather remember them when they were young and beautiful
Ozzie Nelson gave Stacy his big break on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriette. he would have been a bug star but after that accident, his career just shriveled up.
He was so wonderful and so handsome til the end of his life!!! Loved him since I was 10 years old!!!!
