Dave, I've been concentrating my hunts to BAGS rather than boxes. Just recently bought a $1000 quarter bag, OUTSTANDING RESULTS: 41 Silver qtrs (40 1964-p, 1 1962-d), plus 2 "W"s.
I would not consider it a collection dump since they were all the same year&mintmark, but an accumulation from a cigar box of some sort. Up to that bag, my best bag was only 3 silver qtrs. I enjoy your videos, you win some and loose some. People don't see how many boxes & bags that turn out to be skunks.

Considering starting Coin hunting with the kids/grandkids.
My idea would be to start with one denomination and learn it before moving to another. Probably start with quarters or halves. Is there a written source that would list valuable coins by year, by mint, by error? Love the videos, Thank you.

Last Christmas my nephew received t nice quarter folders, state and national parks. I decided to give him a hand. I have a supplemental job as a clerk at a local gas station and I have hunted quarters for a solid year now my mom óc

Very new to this, I’ve been tearing through dimes and pennies, I’m a new sub can I ask how you get your boxes of quarters, like does your bank get angry at you or set a limit for how many times a week you can come in. I’m never going to be one of those with my thousands of pennies to take them back to the bank I really don’t want to make them angry nor screw over other coin hunters, I got a roll of dimes looking for a silver from the gas station today and found nothing but all 2022s in there that’s exactly what I mean by I’m never going to be that guy.

Damn dude, that's a great hunt in my opinion. I've only gone through 4 boxes (usually stick to halves) and found zero silvers/W/S's. I am picking up 4 more tomorrow so hopefully my luck will change. Again, great finds!

So who is going to pay you $3,000 dollars for that quarter. A coin dealer will give you maybe 50 cents. Best scam artist in all of collecting hobbies.
