- Join along as we keep pushing to get thr fertilizer spread. Some challenging spots and almost a major issue as we find a wet spot that almost flips the spreader over. We get the spreading wrapped up and spreader returned better then we got it. Then some more disking and hauling hay to help out Isaah with the help of Alec. Thanks for watching along.
Chris that was so great really enjoyed Thank you Issa really good thanks .
Those duals on the tractor saved your arse mate.👍 Good thing about finding these wet spots is you now know what ground needs looking at for future tiling work.
You'll have to show all of Yenko friends on the channel! Cash was awesome!
Neighbor just finished his beans yesterday here . Corn looking tough from all the rain, looks good right on top of tile lines
Chris, if you get a extension pole and put a broom at the end you can sweep out your bins so they stay clean. We do that on our fertilizer tender trucks at work. Also make sure you pull your slides out every now and then and pressure wash out your slides to keep clean they will open and shut easier
Mr. Duffy, you’re the best of the best!
Keep the good work up and you’ll succeed as long as you want to and you have great worth ethics as well.
Mr. Duffy, I’m so glad to see that you took care of the items that you read and liked them better than what it was when you got them there are a lot of people who don’t do that, and I’m so excited when I see you do that, it shows me that there are people like myself that believe in that as well, I believe that it allows the facilities that give more trust to who they ran to you to how well they receive their rented item back from that particular farm.
The skills that you show always tell the employer how much you care about the job that you have to do and how much you’re willing to learn if you don’t know it as grandpa says if you’re willing to learn it’s a job that you have a passion for and because of that nest what makes you successful, at whatever you want to do, whether farming or trucking relating to form again you always say you want to farm you go beyond showing that you want to farm you want to succeed and that my friend makes you valuable to our society and nation unlike some individuals in our country who are very questionable.
Sincerely!
R. S. V.
Enjoyed your video Chris that be a pain get stuck and have to find someone to pull you out. Have a great day.
At least you and a few other TH-cam farming channels that I watch remind me and my grandfather, but yet this year is the closest example I’ve ever had so I thank you for that! In any shape or form, I hope you are doing well and I hope being a father's dear daughter is wonderful, I still want to congratulate you for being a father, I respect your significant other’s wishes as well as yours regarding that but again, congratulations for being a father.
Be careful with everything you do I do know farming is not cracked up to be what is meant for us a lot of hard work and I’m very grateful for people who never lose their insight or dream on what they want to do with their life forever, as my grandfather said if you love your job is never a job is a lively if you dislike your job, it’s a job! Just to get you by in life with something you so dislike doing.
If I was ever able to as a young man, I would’ve been in the military, but he and physically challenged, I had to go a different route by volunteering for many years at the (“VFW“) in Iowa and not to mention ended my servers volunteering at the VA Hospital in Minnesota, I was volunteering my grandfather passed away, he was a (“World War II Veteran”), regardless of the situation with you and your family if you had any family members who were in the military to them, (“Thank You!“) we would not have her freedoms if it wasn’t for them, even though some of our freedoms are questionable now.
Mr. Duffy, I believe you are 100% correct with what you just said regarding farming when my grandfather retired from farming, he was managing the granary in Northwood, Iowa, where many years I truly miss my grandfather, he was the closest thing I’ve ever had the farming, he was also very instrumental in helping me get my abusive biological families life even though my mother was his daughter.
Sincerely!
R. S. V.
Great to hear you are a seedy farmer. AFT. Congratulations 👍👍👍
A clean shop is the sign of a disturbed mind
A clean shop is a person not busy with work.
@@mattiantorno2241 my shop is a mess but I think I’d get more done if it was clean
Happy Belated Birthday Norman !!!
Keep up the good work duffy.
I've always said that as long as you can move, you're not stuck.
It’s called share cropping. It is a Midwest and south thing. Still goes on some but seems to be dying off. It used to be 75-25 when I was a kid. Helped me get started. Land owner would pay 25% of everything. Then it went to 80-20. Now it’s mostly cash lease.
We do some 70/30. Land owner pays nothing
Looks cleaner than my shop
We never left the disks in the ground when turning because you can destroy the disk’s and break them and the frame. Just wondering why you do that?
To anybody who said "don't need duals"... the D in Deere is for Duals. Its how they work. You may not actually need duals on an IH or a massey but Deere are built for it - most tractors are these days and Deere have almost always been.
Dirt's just self-applying traction weight.
Yup ... the high cost of borrowing from others ... glad yeah got it out ... hope the fatigue did not break the frame up to severely... you may want to have the cart ndt 'ed ... good luck ...
Advice for the future if there is standing water it’s probably going to be muddy
One generation training another. The circle of life.
Wish I could share pictures in the comments I rolled one of those last spring you were plenty safe
Winter is the time to clean your shop. Does anyone run accumulators on their bailers back there? Shure makes loading and hauling easier and less tracks on the field.
Getting closer every day. I'm sure you know but?!?! You can take the ground from the welder and clamp it to the leg of your welding table. That way you don't need to mess with it on the part you're welding on. The table becomes the ground. It works for me. Hope it helps. Enjoy your videos always looking forward to them. God bless hope you have a great growing season. The last of our corn went in today. Now back to 1st cutting that's only 1/4 done.
In the applicator world, the extra pass is called a victory lap.
Nice video
What are the town you live in is called Sharon Springs so I am sure there are Springs everywhere
The workshop doesn't look too bad.
That's quite the wet spot
Hey Chris, let that kid do some beginning driving, move the truck, maybe some disking on a more level piece….
He probably doesn’t know much but if you help him learn stuff as he gets bigger he will become possibly really good help. That way he has your bad habits and not someone else’s…..🤣
Always stop buy to see what you're up to! A messy shop is a sign somebody is using it! We had a kid that wanted to spread manure, so we let him, he got the tractor into a wet spot and tried to get out but buried it! we were wondering what was taking him so long, and then he had his Mother come to the barn and tell us, he was afraid to tell his Dad!! He was stuck, clear up to the axels!
My favorite YT moment was the guy who always complained Andy Hourigan's shop floor was dirty. No shit. LOL
Or they cry that he doesn't wash off something so it's spotless before fixing it. 😂😂 When there's 4000 head to feed powerwashing the wheel loader before a minor job like hydraulic hose replacement isn't exactly a priority.
Those Duals just paid for themselves ! 👍🏻🏁
gonna be a good summer farming with Duffy ag
So, how do you locate old Tile lines in the field?
Just curios, since I doubt you want to dig up the whole field to find them ;)
Please can you swing those lights out for duals, I know they arnt really doing anything but it would look nicer lol
Set a side land pays more then crop ground in Wisconsin for leasing
You talking about CRP?? I thought it had to be criteria specific to qualify, environmentally sensitive in some way??
@@Otherrandomguy42 no my uncles land is under contract once he stops farming it’s going in native grass
Tender,needs some 40D40 Chris???
those duels just paid for themselves today and then some
Some guys share crop. 70% to farmer 30% to land owner, farmer pays for all imputs
you have my luck no luck
That bungee cord for the pto handle is an easy inexpensive fix. Valve body on the transmission under cab entry door has a broken arm inside should be an updated one when looking up parts
I appreciate that it's not ideal but been working but the pto only gets used a couple days a year. Have to get it updated
@@DuffyAg I don't know how TH-cam works, when you decide to fix it put it in the TH-cam algorithms all the older tractors had the same problem and it's hard to find 90% of the time its that little arm but most mechanics charge an arm and leg , think it cost me 40$ and an hour of my time
Hey rub some source on it.
It used to be like that doing it on sharers back in the day in Michigan but now with the legalization of marijuana is drove in the value of Farmland insanely High to where most Farmers 1800 Acres or less can't even afford to grow anymore because I am too expensive so it's pretty much just a cash deal nowadays for rent in farmland I don't know about you but even crappy Sandy run around here is going for $15,000 an acre or more if you've got good heavy ground Lookout it's really hard to expand nowadays at least Anastasia seem to have legal marijuana because grain Farmers can't pay those prices for Farm ground
GREAT JOB BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP ON LETTING EVERONE KNOW THAT JOHT DEER IS MOIVING VTO MEXICO SO EVERONE NEEDS TO LET THER DEALER IT WILL KILL THERE SALES
We tipped our loaded foragewagon this evening and pulled him over with our mobile excavator and a 90hp case
No it's soft because u must have gotten all that notill compaction out that you keep talking about that you know nothing about.... if anything packs the ground it's a disc.... lol
Lmao wrong but nice try. The compaction layer preventing drainage is well below the disk working depth. He's on heavy clay soil no-till would be an epic fail on his farm except the rare spring that's to dry anywhere else.
Need tile
That would be the best money Duffy could spend
Cash is my name but I’m a human
Drama queen Duffy scared you tube farming. Not even close to rolling over 😂😂

Hello Mr Dopey
Aww Boo Hoo Hoo, did he hurt your insecure feelings 🥺😩🍼🤣🤣
Next tractor 55 series 4wd
4760 mfwd beast of tractor.
You mean the 2755 that he already has? There is no articulated 55 series. The 75 isn’t going anywhere. I can think of a bunch of stuff he needs more than another tractor
@@kyleblair4764no like a 4755 or 4955
Yea he what he said .never have enough tractors@@350mack
@@kyleblair4764that's actually not exactly true when he's going to farm on kind of wet ground he needs to just sell the 4640 and go by like a 4760 mfwd. He's on heavy land. Hard to farm it without a row crop mfwd tractor.
Everyone has an opinion. Majority of this is driven by jealousy of Chris getting off his backside everyday and making it happen. Most people have no idea what it takes but havnt the intelligence to keep their moth shut. Morons. Keep it up, Chris!
don;t you know it\s too wet ''
Why would you take the time and fix it when you’re so busy when they have their own maintenance person it isn’t gonna save you any money
Because being a good person and taking 20 minutes to make sure it's good for the next person is worth it in life
@DuffyAg seems so many have forgot how to return things the way you found it. Good on you to fix it.
@@DuffyAg 👍
@@DuffyAg I would also assume you might get charged for any damage or repairs but i could be wrong . I know when you rent cars or uhaul u do
Grumpy farmer will really be upset with you now, you fixing up rental equipment when you could be better spending your time making videos bashing other TH-cam farmers 😂😂😂
