Honestly I prefer to do this by searching in the wild . Like I been on a toxic avenger and class of nukem high blu ray hunt here in uk and I been finding many troma movies recently. Yes I could just buy them on ebay etc but I get more enjoyment finding them out an about 😅 . Plus now I have a spare bedroom that's becoming my media library to lol #spenttomuchmoneyonblurays
Did something happen to your live videos? I was watching one yesterday and it started messing up so I exited out of the app. When I went back they were all gone. Wondering if it’s just me.
#ISpentTooMuchMoneyonBlurays I really dislike that Disney releases these deluxe 4K releases of Marvel and Star Wars shows but refuses to release the Walt Disney Treasures again. Disney really lost their identity under Bob Iger. Everyone loves to blame everything on Bob Chapek, but Iger was the one who stopped releasing Disney content from Walt’s time and was the one who acquired all these things the company focuses on excessively more than anything Disney actually made.
That what I'm saying when it come to physical media we own when it comes to streaming we don't own it and they can take it away anytime they want Thanks for supporting physical media 👍
21:23 I'm a fan of those Velcro 3M Command Strips too and I've used them to hang up a little lightbox outside of my makeshift media room/screening room that says, 'COMING SOON." I also used those Command Strips to adhere safely to walls with small magnets glued on them and then I sandwich authentic theatrical posters between those affixed magnets and some other magnets on top to lock the poster in place. That made it much easier to swap out posters as desired and that was a much cheaper solution than buying endless poster frames, especially when hanging huge French theatrical posters measuring 47 inches by 63 inches for movies like Disney's '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea', 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly', '2001: A Space Odyssey', 'The Planet of the Apes' (1968), and any manner of 'Star Wars' movie I have issued on that huge poster format, etc. :)
17:17 To answer your question, Bluey: Season 3 did recently get released on DVD as a Walmart exclusive. I got my copy at Walmart last week. It's getting a wide retail release on May 28th.
@@RetroRestStop I originally had it pre-ordered on Amazon, but as soon as I found it at my local Walmart, I grabbed it immediately! (And cancelled my Amazon order.)
Greetings from Denmark, just to make you feel a little bit better about your splurge. The only one of the steelbooks, I would be interested in interested in is Andor. It will be released on July 1, only in a combined 4K/Bluray steelbook, for a retail price of 93$ (649 dkr), so that's not gonna happen😅
Posters, VHS cases, and DVD cases have different size ratios. They'd have to trim them and reformat them. That's probably easier on new media where the files exist digitally than taking apart old images.
i dont like the slip covers, but i understand them. I grabbed a few 90s Halloween movies when they did those slips and I low key wanted all the "matching" slip covers lol So, I guarantee ppl out there are getting them all. Good way to sell more movies.
I want Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion on DVD. That series went away too quickly in 2022. I'd enjoy the chance to support it through purchasing it. Wish it had the same longevity of Villians of Valley View. It could have been a cool cross over if Ultra Violet had kept going.
Speaking on the weird slip covers, I really like the Halloween ones they do. I’ve seen green and blue ones. They are cool but me personally didn’t get them.
They did release the wonder years on dvd as a complete series. And to answer your question about the wal mart five dollar dump bin, they don’t have them anymore. A few weeks ago I was at my local wal mart and walked passed the electronics department and didn’t have the five dollar dump bin.
#DaveSpentTooMuchMoneyOnBlurays I should have a review up (written) for Justice League Crisis Pt2 (we got in the 4k Steelbook) by Friday sometime. The steelbook is gorgeous. The Disney + 4ks are only $5 more expensive each than the blus. Honestly, at that point $20 (or $10 considering there were only 2 4k's in that stack) isn't that much. Though I say that with baited breath because I personally would have only picked up Moon Knight in 4k (maybe Cap/Winter Soldier as well). Now I feel the need to go to Wally, lol. There is no reasonable explanation for streaming releases getting pulled, it's greed pure and simple. Those particular slipcovers no, those are horrid. But I can be talked into certain slipcovers as long as I don't own the movie. If I own the same exact release, there is no way I'm buying it. I love command strips as well, but not a fan of every once in a while a crash somewhere in the house because the adhesive has worn out. I've had to replace a few frames as a result. It's still better than holes in the wall though. Congrats on the lack of soda, it's a huge step. Everyone eats a little candy, I stick to the fancy chocolate in small quantities (2-3 squares at a time) or one/two fun size Reese's white chocolate (usually holiday themed) pieces. It's moderation, that's all.
Least you get them in the US man. Disney has completely shafted us Aussies with Physical Media. Anything I need now from the House of Mouse is huge $$ to import.
I probably won’t get them to Rich for my blood! Anyway you deserve those especially if you have the money? Enjoy! Besides I would have just gotten Wandavision anyway that’s my jam! Well maybe She-Hulk season one which I guess that’s all there’s going to be! I’m waiting on Season two of Quantum Leap which unfortunately is cancelled! Our Wal-Mart in Little old Lehigh Acres has a dump bend!
Its probably been answered, but if a show/movie has low viewership on Disney+, they will take it down because they have to pay money for the rights and residuals. If they take it down, they don't pay. Since it doesnt have a high viewership, why leave it up? People don't watch it so it costs them money just by leaving up shows/movies that aren't a big draw for new or current subscribers.
But ive also heard completely different stories about them not having to pay rights or residuals. That all of that is taken care of in the contracts. So like I said, so many different stories, theories, reasons, etc. Either way though, its pretty dumb.
@@RetroRestStopit is dumb, but one thing Bob Iger stated before the Disney+ launch was that the entire Disney library would eventually be available once Disney + was fully operational.. Well, that will never happen.
I import the UK versions as they come with 4K and bluray. I hate this trend of one format or the other, if we buy pricy 4K steelbooks it should have both 4K and bluray discs
Could you do a video on tips for organizing a physical media collection.

They don’t even have beekeeper out there and that came out two weeks ago!
My Walmart gets everything in super early. I got my last Friday. I spend over 245 for the SteelBooks and madma web on 4k
Fantastic video. Your black V-neck shirt is excellent.
Never mind saw the dvd sitting there haha I was gonna say they didn’t change the endcap for two weeks ouch lol
