Here's a few things that were clarified in our Patreon comments !
#1 Rachel is in the same class as Khun
#2 Annak is the biological daughter of the princess of Jhad.

StruckByBelz I think that naming convention for Rachel and Bam is interesting. Is she trying to protect him because she’s going somewhere dangerous? Or does she need to climb the tower and can’t afford to worry about Bam’s safety?
One more clarification, endorsi said that her family isnt alowed to love, she is talking about jahad princesses, they arent allowed to fall in love.but anaak s mother broke the rules and even had a daughter . That s why endorsi asked anaak why did ur mom chose this path of misfortune.

The Administrator is like a deity/god that has absolute authority over all things on his/her floor, including how shinsoo can be used.
Evankhell is a Ruler, someone who is delegated authority by the Administrator to take care of the day to day running of the floor (including testing regulars).
Yu Han Sung is a Test Director, someone hired by the Ruler to oversee and design the tests.
Lero Ro is the Test Administrator, someone hired by the Test Director to directly run the tests.

Quick question: how is Rachel a light bearer? Don't you need to have some sort of power or control of shinsu to be in that spot? Like khun.
revo lol we don’t know the exact criteria based on the selection, mostly because positions are rather flexible and one person can cover multiple positions in a fight if they are skilled enough. We only had a insight by Khun in why he is a light bearer “because he likes giving orders”

@@gtmafiaa I support reading the webtoon alongside too but they also seem to be changing the narrative slightly (heard SIU also had some inputs). This would only lead to more confusion IMO. Maybe a breakthrough after the first season of anime has finished would be better.

Relating to the different people on each floor (the first few min of video):
Floor administrator / guardian - Control all the shinsu of a floor, they allow people to control and use shinsu after forming a contract (seen this episode)
Floor Ruler - Evankhell (not shown till now, BTW this floor is called Evankhell's Hell). They are typically really strong (mentioned by Yuri's teammate last episode). They are in charge of everything related to the floor (the guardians don't bother)
Test Director - Yu Hansung, in charge of the overall tests and progression of the regulars. Floor rulers don't usually get involved personally in the tests (typically hierarchy stuff)
Test administrators - Lero Ro and Quant (Rachel's testing administrator who made a 30min deathmatch).
Floor ruler, test director and test administrators are all rankers and the power goes up as you go higher up the hierarchy
Excellent summary of the whole hierarchy on each floor.
One clarification is that all the different tiers are rankers, people who have reached the top of the Tower.
The sole exception is the Guardian/floor administrator (Headon on floor 1, the big whale creature in this episode for floor 2) which are beings of the Tower itself.
Also, everyone is still on Floor 2. The Battle Royale, the Shinsoo wall, the Red Door test, the Bonus Crown game, and the Position Test are all tests of the 2nd Floor. This is why the 2nd Floor is also known as the Floor of Test.
Moving past the 2nd Floor means you are allowed to ascend the Tower.

So many juicy hidden details in 6 episodes that expand on ToG universe. It's literally story-telling genius like certain Fantasy books (The Name of the Wind; The Way of Kings) where you re-read to see all the hidden details that you casually miss but have GREAT implications.

one of the best things about the webtoon is how constantly the characters are changing clothes, you dont see that often in mangas, it really makes it look like the characters grow and progress constantly.

I wanna mention that I think the anime said Baam have memory loss, but I'd say in the manhwa he kinda grew up in the cave, or he has spent his entire life in that cave and the only person he every met was Rachel so thats why he doesn't know anything.
Tower of god has really the potential to be one of my all time favorite animes.
The whole stuff with Rachel kinda brokes my heart. I felt her dream, where she was left alone from Bam. I know, it's selfish to be afraid, if the person, who always loved you, find suddenly other persons he cares of but you yourself left him in the first place to achieve your dream. But that's what makes Rachel for me so interesting. She kinda want both. Reach the stars, but she can't do that with Bam. And also be with Bam, but than she can't see the stars. I think that makes Rachel so human. So far she's the most interesting character in the series for me.
I also felt anaak very much. I know, it isn't something knew about a character which goal is only revenge. But the way they showed it, how endorsi confronts anaak and anaak just lies on the ground and looked so.... Empty. That moment really maked me emotional.
Also I love the comedy parts xD. Poor shibisu. Get owned from black March and endorsi has only interest on hatz xD. And I really like the Hatz and Khun rivaly. I can feel a great love/hate relationship in the future :D

Their reactions I really like their reactions and the way they interpret each chapter and the story, I keep up with the manwha and I like how they have adapted it for you to enjoy it.

As khun said "princesses of jahad are recruited to represent their own tribes and families"
So there isn't only 13 princesses but alot of princesses from different families and tribes.
Positions:
Khun and rachel are light bearers
Anaak amd endorsi are fishermen
Bam is a wave controller
Rak is a spear bearer
Hatz and shibisu are scouts

NOT SPOILER: Just want to clarify that real Anak was a Ranker, and Endorsi is a Regular. You have to know how big is the gap between a Ranker and a regular. Basically, if a Ranker want to, he can kill all regular of the floor without any effort, it wouldn’t take him more than a minute to do that (if he uses shinsu). All Rankers climbed the tower, they passed every single test to the last floor, no regular can match a Ranker. It’s impossible for Endorsi to participate in the murder of Anak since she’s a simple regular on the second floor. Another thing I’d like to say its that Real Anak didn’t become a Princess after became a Ranker. She was a princess before being a Regular like every other princess, but she did became a chosen princess after being a Ranker. A Chosen Princess is a Princess who has the right to have a 13 month series weapon. Only Ranker Princesses (chosen princesses) can have a 13 month. In the webtoon Khun started to suspect about Anak because she had Green April but she was a simple Regular and that’s why he searched.
I really like Bams new outfit. Hopefully this is what he wear for now on or even for a while.

The conversation from last week between Lero ro and Hansung Yu when they were drinking coffee was kind of supposed to show that there is discord between people in the tower, even among the higher ups. Everyone has their own opinions about the tower and how it’s run. If you remember back to episode 1 when Yuri was helping Bam and Headon said you know King Jahad could execute you for helping him, and she just kind of didn’t care that it was against the rules. You’ll learn about these stances as everything goes forward. Also Rachel was briefly shown in the same class as Khun, which is a light bearer. It was just super brief
This episode it was revealed that Yuri jahad was the first princess in the last 500 years to get one of the 13 month series weapon. That means there are way more than 13 jahad princesses but only the strong ones get the honor of receiving that weapon and in the last 500 years only one princess has lived up to the expectation to receive the weapon
I'd really like to hear what is the difference between Anaak and Vegeta.
Also, she didn't adopt Anaak, that's her real daughter. The reason she's called an "orphan" is because both of her parents are dead.
That's not what the "shackle" comment meant, for everyone else the contract is a buff allowing them to use a certain amount of shinsoo. However, the amount allowed to everyone else is actually a nerf for Bam because he doesn't need a contract at all to use shinsoo, as explained in the last episode during the conversation between Yu Han Sung and Lero Ro.
So is bam going to be weaker now cuz of the contract or will he able to undo the contract and have his all outgoing power ? I dont mind spoilers

just for clarification, Anaak Jahad is a Ranker (Ranker = someone who already reach floor 134) and she had Green April one of the 13 month series weapon, but in the Jahad family there is a rule that you can't fell in love and married with someone, but Anaak Jahad married with someone and had a Daughter, Anaak that we know now is her daughter. Her Mother (Real Anaak Jahad) get killed because she broke the rule and her daughter (Anaak that we know now) escape and survive with the green april.

Just to clarify something without spoiler:
1. administrators (1 for every floor, ex headon) are way stronger than test administrators/rankers and rankers are way stronger than regulars (these gaps are very big). Irregulars are...(keep watching ;))
2. Rankers have different strenght between each other and there is kind of hierarchy (ex hansung and Leroro).
3. Princesses of jahad are stronger people (chosen) respect to their similar level position (see point 1) (ex endorsi is stronger than regulars but never cant win against a ranker) (ex Yuri is stronger than a ranker ecc...)
4. Princesses of Jahad are not 13. Only the swords are 13. Some of these are donated to the strongest princesses like yuri.
This is a great summary of all the ranks and tiers in the Tower.

Also, Rachel was shown. She was having the same test as Khun when they were typing on the computers. Rachel is a Light bearer, same as Khun.
Rachel was also in class when Khun asked about Baam. To your point about Baam meaning Night in Korean and Rachel using Light, the creator of TOG (who goes by SIU) has stated that he created Rachel and Baam to be opposites in almost every possible way. An example is how Baam finds it easy to make friends because of his innocent look and the way people see him as cute, etc. Rachel, as you saw in this episode, finds it incredibly hard to be chippy with people, only conversing when necessary. Tbh, if you wanna know more about Rachel, you could just think of the opposite of Baam in character, mannerisms, etc. I don't know if you guys also noticed that Rachel stole the chocolates Rak was looking for. She was able to steal that many chocolates without even Khun noticing.
Lastly, RACHEL IS AN IRREGULAR. Headon cannot choose someone from outside the Tower. He only chooses people from the Outer Tower. He has no power to choose people from outside the Tower. By definition, Rachel and Baam are irregulars. Tbh, Rachel is my fav character in TOG.
It was also stated by SIU in a blog post or somewhere that yes, Rachel is an " irregular " but she could only get inside the tower because she slipped through the gate while it was opening for Bam.
I havent read the web toons but that's alot of info but I still cant bring myself to like rachel she abandoned bam and from my view point is jealous of bam because she isnt the center of his world or is jealous she isnt like him

@jay t dawgzone I've seen a lot of people bringing up Khun or Endorsi in debates about Rachel, and I have a looot of arguments on why they are defenetly not the same, but I'm not gonna get started I don't wanna spoil anime only's.
If most people have a certain opinion about certain characters it must be for a reason. Sometimes how of a good person a character is doesn't determine how likeble they are, there's something called charisma. And nah bruh, I wouldn't say ToG is a show for kids.
What really doesn't make sense is thinking Endorsi and even Kaiser are the same as Rachel. That means you really need to reread the story. Don't get me wrong, Rachel is one of the best written characters in ToG, I understand why people like her but telling people they have to love her because they love Endorsi too as if they were the same is a no.

It really rare for someone to like her. Understandable. People liking her does not mean they justified what she's have done but trying to understanding her. Rachel is very interesting. It make me don't really sure whether to hate or just dislike her. Because whenever she appear,I have that hate feelings.BUT at the same time want to see what she doing, her ability,what things that forces her to go that far while maintaining her greed and grudge. I too want to learn more about Rachel.
I love how you guys analyze the show! The real Anak was killed because she loved someone & like Endorsi said “we aren’t allowed to love.” This is one of king Jahad’s rules for the princesses which is why mini Anak hates Jahad & the princesses.

You're the only youtuber yet to actually mostly understand the plot of tower of god cuz tbh tower of god is a story that's hard to explain nor understand it from 1 episode you need to put all the pieces fisrt and then everything will make sense also this anime has A LOT of plot twist just saying so you guys could expect a big difference in the anime but that's what make it interesting for me cuz i've followed the manga series for years more than black clover xD

Fun fact Annak (daughter) is over 200 years old, the age of the princesses is quite different, so Endorsi did not know the story about Annak's death. Yuri is over 500 years old, Annak (original) was probably older than Yuri, Endorsi is younger, started to climb the tower now, just as there are princesses over 2 thousand years old.

So anaak mother was killed because princess of jahad are not allowed to love she fell in love with the pie maker as she said and had a baby that's why the other princess kill her mother because she didn't follow the rules watch the ep carefully
To be fair in the anime when they say family it's not always clear if they mean the family they came from or now only refer to Jahad and the princesses as family
The fish thing is the 2F guardian ”administrator”, similar to headon on 1F, contracts are contracts for regulars, shackles for irregulars since they don’t need a contract to use Shinsu. Yes Rachel is an irregular, she is also from outside the tower like bamm, irregulars are individuals born on the outside that come into the tower.
Rachel was in class. When Khun comments about her she is also computering xD

The translation saying "You're Anaak's orphan" was a bad choice. They should've just said "you're Anaak's child" because she is Anaak's biological child and princesses of jahad aren't allowed to love and get married which is why she got killed
It's not a bad choice. Orphan in one word says two things, It's Anaak's child and Anaak is dead. People not understanding the meaning of a word isn't the anime's fault.
DonEmu if it wasn’t so rushed then you could make that argument but literally all they said was orphan and that leaves room for too much interpretation. They already said anaak is dead so just saying child here would be enough for viewers

"Anaak's orphan" would be tying the word orphan to Anaak, else how would we be able to connect this "imposter" to the real Anaak Jahad (even though mom and daughter look like the same species; SUI is giving a lot of details to help the audience but people still botching it up)?
If they had said "Anaak's daughter" then you lose the information that both parents are dead.
This is just a result of people not using all the information present to come to the correct conclusion. I thought it was perfectly clear tbh.

No spoilers notes: So, tower of god does this a lot, where they mention someone or say something so casually just like the name evankhell, that it almost feels like you should know what it is, because of how naturally the story brings it up, but in reality its just a way for the author to say "keep that thing on the back of your heads" as he tends to either explain or bring up such points at a later point, sort of like Chekhov's gun principle (you should check out the principle if you dont know about it, its really cool) , so dont feel discouraged or bad because (because i did) if you dont know what something is, it will be brought up or explained later
To explain the shackle thing , last episode bam was able to use shinsu freely without restrictions and by making the contract he has to abide by the rules of that floor so the contract on the lower floor can hinder his potential on shinsu controller plus we saw rachel doing khun's test
Light Bearer ("one who protects the Lighthouse" or "Lighthouse Keeper") is a Position which uses exploring devices called Lighthouses to gain information on the battle or the surroundings.
Also, a Light Bearer tends to gather information and formulate plans with the help of such information as they command their Lighthouse. They are also called Lighthouse keepers because they protect the Lighthouse. However, a Light Bearer must still be able to fulfil both roles as there may be times when they are expected to assume another role.

Rachel is a Light Bearer, like Khun. I know it was a quick transition when there's a lot of information to absorb, but if you look back and saw those different colored cubes. . . they're lighthouses that the Light Bearer uses to gather and distribute information. . much like a strategist. When Khun was looking into other people's files, we saw Rachel doing the Light Bearer test, and quickly transitioned back to Khun.

This is a small thing but I really like how the position names support the water based nature of the tower. They're everything you'd want on a ship's crew exploring an unknown sea. A scout to search ahead for foes. A fisherman to struggle with those foes and draw them in. A spearbearer to strike the decisive blow when they get in range. A light bearer in a lighthouse to illuminate the way. And a wave controller to manipulate the sea itself.
fun fact when anaak brought the black march to shibisu and told him that it only works for guys . he tried to activate it then it shocked him anaak asked him if he is really a man xD
There is an administrator on each floor that controls the shinsu and ensures the rules of the tower are kept on that floor
Evankhell is the head of the 2 floor and was sort of appointed by the administrator to be the person incharge of the floor (can't go into more detail without spoiling... Evankhell doesn't appear until much later in the story)
Yu Hansung is the director who was appointed by Evankhell to take care of the day to day as Evankhell as most top rankers like evankhell don't actively participate in day to day activities
Lero ro and Quant are test administrators and they usually interact directly with the regulars

watching all this knowing yall through the series, i see how many misconstrued things there are.... loving your takes mostly
So the guardian of the floor. The giant monster bam signed a contract with is there to make sure the floor remains in tact etc and that no harm comes to it. The test director is below the guardian and is evankhell who we haven’t seen yet and is like the manager who is in charge. Yellow haired guy is one below him like assistant manager and makes the tests up roughly etc. then lero ro and quant are like the employees who administer the tests to the regulars.
Evankhell is the Ruler of the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor is also called Evankhell's hell. Rulers are the one contracted by Guardians to oversee all the Tests that are being held in that floor.
Another little note about the Princesses, remember they aren’t allowed to love anyone and they cannot have families. So when Anak’s mother, the real princess, fell in love and had a child, that was a BIG no no. How a princess gets selected and what all that entails will be explained later in the story, but you two or so on point!
Evankhell the floor ruler hasn't shown up yet, and the yellow hair test director/supervisor is Hansung Yu. It seems like they were confusing them around. But they'll get the hang of it eventually. Great discussion and episode review!
One important thing to mention, I'm not sure if anyone did yet, there are A LOT more than 13 princesses. Endorsi is a very new one (basically the most recent princess).

Administrator - Boss of the floor. E.g. Headon, the giant thing from this episode.
Floor Ruler - The ranker that rules the floor with the authority of the administrator. E.g. Evankhel
Test Director - The ranker than answers to the Floor Ruler and directly oversees of all the tests on the floor. E.g Yu Hansung(coffee guy)
Test Administrator - The rankers that work under the Director to administer the tests directly to the regulars. E.g. Lero ro, Quant(Black guy you say earlier)

SPEAR BEARER: uses spear to finish off what fisher man started
LIGHT BEARER: collect data and sends it to scout.
SCOUT: helps fisherman in battle
wave controller: assist, over powers opponent, known to dominate the battlefield
here's some trivia, the reason rankers are called that is because after people reach the top of the tower they are given a ranking which compares their feats and achievements against other people who also reached the top, hence why they're called rankers. these rankings are not static and are reviewed every season, so it's possible to go up or down in ranking.
the top 10% rankers are called advanced rankers and the top 1% are called high rankers.
Irregular = people who are not selected by Headon to climb the tower. (those who force their way into the tower)
Since Headon only conducts his selection within the tower, everyone selected by Headon are regulars.
In ep.1 when Bam falls on top of Rachel, Bam unintentionally opens the door to the tower and Rachel just kind of "slips" in through the opening. (notice Bam's position on top of Rachel with his hands pushing down). So she unintentionally got in by some loophole.
Then to follow Rachel, Bam opens the doors again to follow her. From this, you could say that Rachel is an irregular Irregular because she is neither selected by Headon, or open the doors to the tower herself.
There is a difference between a test and floor administrator, the test administrator is the one who oversees the test on each floor like lero Ro, and quant(black ranker with red hair), yellow haired guy who is lero Ro’s current “boss” hansung yu is the temporary ruler of the floor because Evankhell is the true ruler of the floor. So on the topic of floor administrator those are the Devine like sea beasts that you saw bam make a contract with(they are actually that size), they control the floor entirely like hedon. Bam does not need a contract because he is an irregular and they do not need contracts to use shinsu on any floor.

just to correct something for you mazino isnt the second irregular the secong one is rachel ( she came from outside the tower as well ) . and now remember when that guy with the red hair (the guy in charge of rachel first test ) talking to hansung yu ( the isntant coffe guy ) he asked him if there was an irregular or a princess of jahad and he said nope but there was both

I think the reason that Rachel wants Bam away from her is the rule that Headon put " that you can't let people know each other fight".
Ok clarification not a spoiler that rule only applys to people who know each other fighiting or competing agianst each other as that would be immoral.
A neat thought, but its more likely she doesn't even know that rule exists at all.
We haven't seen Evankhell so far, and won't, for quite a while. The black guy with the red hair was Quant, just a test administrator.

The administrator said it was a shackle for him because he is an irregular. They emphasized in the last episode how regulars have to make contracts with administrators to use shinsu but irregulars break the rules of the tower so they don't necessarily have too. That's why people are so afraid of irregulars. Every time one enters the tower, major changes happen. Also, big fan of your reactions, keep up the amazing content.

Remember in the first episode when Yuri gave Bam a pocket. That pocket was an A rank pocket but all the other regulars at the floor of tests are using E rank pockets. I wonder if that affected the contract Bam had to make with the floor administrator. I could be wrong though.
I also see Rachels dream as her fear of baam meeting more people and finding new people to care for and hols dear. That's why she called baam her weaknesses because she's afraid of being left behind as baam makes new friends. So maybe that's why she abandoned him first, she rather abandon then be abandoned.

As for the Princesses and the 13 Month Series.
There are more Princesses out there.
Out of them, some are selected and given one of the 13 Month Series.
For example, Yuri is a Princess and was given Black March.
Anaak's mother was a Princess and was given Green April.
Endorsi is a Princess but does NOT have any of the 13 Month Series.
Anaak herself, is a child of a Princess so that is why she got Green April.
As someone who got into reading tower of god after watching the anime, the hype is real. I’m nearly caught up with the webtoon and no cap this is my top 5 all time easy
endorsi and khun explained in this ep that princesses are representatives of tribes and families. so they're basically adopted by Jahad and give them the surname and also some asset that will be explained in the next episode

I wonder what Rachel's real motivation is? I feel like she's in a corner, and has no choice but to climb the Tower.
I find it interesting that the Floor Administrator seemed to know Bam is an Irregular, and specifically that he didn't seem to have a problem with it. Seems like everyone human-like has an issue with them, but that giant ancient turtle thing isn't concerned.
Also, Evankhell is the Ruler of the floor. The main problem is that a Ruler is supposed to intervene if other High Rankers invade/cause trouble on their floor, so if Yuri gets caught sneaking into the floor, she may have to fight Evankhell. Based on Evan's (backpack guy) warnings, it sounds like Yuri would have a really bad time if she fought Evankhell.
Jamar Swope evankhell is ranked 60 ha Yuri is in the top 500. Both are high rankers but evankhell has much more experience over Yuri. Even Yuri at her max I can see her 200-150 ranking max which is still to weak to deal with evankhell who’s ranked 60 among the top 100

For bam this is a shackle and not a contract because irregulars can esentially freely control shinsu in the tower they don't need a contract which only allows you to limitedly amount of shinsu

For clarification: "Rankers" are people who've made it to the top of the tower. Yu Han is a Ranker whose job on this floor is that of the "Test Director", he is in charge of the "Test Administrators" like Lero Ro and Quant who are also Rankers. Evankhell is the Ranker that is the ruler of floor two, and therefore Yu Han's boss; we haven't met her yet. The giant monster Bam made a contract with is "The Administrator" or guardian of the floor, which is sort of like Evankhells boss.
