Just watched the film Mrs. Lowry & Son on Netflix. Fascinating look at L.S. Lowry's tragic relationship with his emotionally abusive mother. Timothy Spall as Lowry. Spall is never wrong.
I prefer it to the original, to be quite honest. You absolutely nailed it, mate. I finally went in the loft to look for my acrylics and, as suspected they are all dried up, so I ordered some new ones via the link x
I've seen all your paintings this far and this is by far the best, I'd have this in my lounge. Well done, even the way you approach the problem itself has changed massively since the beginning. Do you feel you're improving?
Taking the tops of the paint bottles before I start was a massive turning point. Also planning tactics really helps. It is the talking and trying to remember the facts and questions that gets in the way. Also I must thank the pre squirt.
An impressive interpretation of the original, and there's nowt wrong with extra dogs! Except for the 'clean up' afterwards...... Tell me please maestro, what musical instruments/software you use for your creations? Sort of catchy tunes :)
I use garage band and the loops on there. It is free with the Mac. If I get longer I try to use the keyboard on it do some tunes like in the Monet one, but it takes a long time to get used to. Stay cool.
I love qualms. I think 'Two Metres' is my favourite creation to date. Although I am fond of 'Yellow Pool' and 'Golden Cloak' - the Hockney and the Klimt gallery pieces respectively.
Rosalind Franklin first discovered the double helix structure! But she had the unfortunate condition of being a woman in the 1950's, and her co-workers stole the credit for the discovery.
@@marekl Oh hey no worries. I wasn't having a go, just setting the record straight. There's a few people who won Nobel prizes in the mid-late twentieth century for female colleagues work. Joselyn Bell-Burnell's PhD supervisor took credit for her discovery of pulsars in the 1960's and won a Nobel, but her case is now very well known (and she's a smashing human being to boot). Someone stealing your Nobel sucks, but history will certainly remember these laureates as very uncool dudes.
Definitely the best musical track you've made so far. "2 metres, 2meters"...... A bit like Kylie, I can't get it out of my head!
StanSolo he might look good in her gold hot pants
Very good picture. Amazing
Impressive artwork! Anyone including '2 meters' and 'chicken fajitas' as a rhyming couplet within a rap like that ensures their own immortality!
Thanks George. It is the greatest rhyme of the 21st century.
AMAZING
Best so far
The music reminds me of The Streets. Very apt given the subject of today's 15 minute masterpiece.
Love the song, cool dude
Thanks Dude.
Very good effort senor.
Hi marek just been watching you on pointless. Well done.
Please do another charity shop buy and sell with your dad. I loved that. Happy New Year x
Ah yes I must do one soon.
AMAZING
Not bad, Marek! The houses are pretty good!
It was a good start then the panic set in.
A touch of early 90s house to finish. Nice touch. Reach for the glow sticks and whistle
That song is not getting enough recognition that's for sure.
Nearly identical if you squint a bit. Wonderful!
Close your eyes as much as possible before viewing.
That song will be in my head for the rest of the day. Thanks, Marek! :')
Apolgogies.
@@marekl No need for apologies, it put a smile on my normally glum face.

Yes, I have to watch that. I enjoyed him being a really grumpy Turner. He's working his way through all the British masters.

I can't wait to see your artwork Katie. Stay cool. x
Fantastic!! What a tune! Speaking as an unspeakably talented musician myself I give you full marks.
I am gradually learning Garageband during these dark times.
Very beautiful. Met the smelliest man of all time in the Lowry centre.
This is the equivalent of that smell on paper.
Just came across this on Twitter, now I'm hooked, love the 2 meters rap, keep up the good work 😁👍
Thanks Becky. Remember 20 chicken fajitas is two metres. Stay cool.
As always, fantastic and really entertaining. Not sure what's better, the picture or the song :) had to listen to it to the very end.
Thanks Dude.
F*ckin hilarious! Thankyou..

Does anyone have lyrics for this? I got the chicken fajitas bit but the other chorus has me stumped
Hi Genevieve. I'll type the lyrics up at put them at the end of the description. Stay cool.
The finished product isn't half bad!!@
Wiley would release that with no qualms whatsoever.
What's a Qualm?
Would the song benefit from a Qualm or two?

@@marekl genuinely loving two metres. I can't wait for the music video.
Impossible to film it in lockdown though.

Oh sorry. I just read it in an article which said he was one of a group of people that discovered it. I should have researched it more, apologies.

Cool 2 metre rap
Thank you. That took a lot longer than the picture. x
You have to release 2 meters lmao.
I am turning more into a popstar than artist.
@@marekl no doubt about it.
