- Today I am sharing with you my must-buy colouring book artists that I look forward to every colouring book they release! This video was inspired by @emmacolours2020 💞

I am a Tolkien fan and Johanna Basford's books are my favorite books to paint my own little Middle Earth world. In all of the books I always find motifs that I can associate with Lord of the Rings or all of Tolkien's other works, including the Amazon series Rings of Power. Matchstick Mouse is also a coloring book series that I really like. I also do handicrafts and I crocheted some of the characters in the books, for example the worm, because I have Matchstick Mouse as a stuffed animal.
Oh wow that sounds amazing! 😍😍 I need to see some of your crocheted creations! I'd love to make my own matchstick mouse - you could even make one for each season! 😍🥰
I’ve coloured and done art all my life and when the adult colouring became popular in around 2014 my first book was Johanna Basfords Magical forest . I became tired of all the leaves but still admire her style . My other favourite artists are , Maria Trolle ( have all her books ) , Ida Chiaki ( her town and room colouring books are delightful) Hanna Karlzon ( her work is amazing and I have all books )
I admire Rita Berman ( have all her books )
I also love some Japanese artists but am a bit unsure of names .

I really like this video because it's not a long drawn out one with the images like some do, it holds my adhd attention. I Love Matchbook Mouse because they're not complicated and I get a sense of accomplishment when I don't feel like doing more complicated pictures. I also really enjoy the RJ Hampson books, they're so much fun! My favorite artists are Hanna Karlson and Maria Trolle, their artwork is beautiful and I will always buy all of their books.

Hello, love this kind of favorite content. We have some overlap in must buy artist, Johanna Basford, Rita Berman, Melpomeni Chatzipanagiotou and RJ Hampson is also in my “honourable mentions”. My other must buys are Maria Trolle, Hanna Karlzon, Emelie Lidehall Oberg, Stratten Peterson. 3 other artists I keep my eye on are Ursula Schwab, Jen Racine and Gabi Wolf. Happy colouring!

I love Hanna Karlzon and she would definitely feature in my list of favourite artists! 💞 I don't consider her a mustbuy as although I love her art, some of the themes of her books don't appeal to me as much so I wait to see flip throughs before deciding whether to buy hers or not 🥰

I agree so so much! I ADORE the artwork, what a disappointment though, in the quality of the paper. Unfortunately that will keep me from buying any more!

Hmmm I don't think so 😅 I mainly use coloured pencils and alcohol or water-based markers for basing 🥰🥰
Eriy has another series of books. There are 3 tracing books. They are not everyone's cup of tea but I like them. ;) thank you for sharing
Yes I am aware of those books! They've been on my wishlist for a while now but I've just prioritised getting other books over them for now 😂 I also really want to get her postcards!
