Fun fact: Eamon did an italian version of this song that was published in Italy only and it got quite famous here; the lyrics are totally different tho, it's a cheesy love song about a girl he met while he was on vacation abroad. I knew the original american version of this song exsisted but when I was a kid I could not speak english yet so I just assumed that it had the same meaning as the italian version. A couple of years ago I randomly heard this song again and I let you imagine how surprised I was now that I could understand what the song was really about . lmao

The same here, I speak Spanish and on the radio they used to play this song over and over and I didn't understand a thing, I thought his voice was great and the rhythm was nice but later after learning English and moving to an English speaking country I realized how bad the lyrics were.
