- Multi-platinum guitar icon TED NUGENT will release ULTRALIVE BALLISTICROCK, a new 2 CD+DVD release available in three formats (2CD+DVD deluxe edition digipak, DVD/Blu-Ray and digital download), on October 18 in Europe and October 22 in North America on Frontiers Records. The live footage was captured and recorded by 7 cameras in 5.1 audio mix on the "I Still Believe Tour" at Penn's Peak on August 14, 2011.

I only lived in the UP of Michigan for a few years. When Fred Bear played on the radio it meant Fall was here and the season was coming up. Thank you Ted for telling me what time of the year it was.
Ted Nugent was my first concert ever, back in '76 in Freedom Hall in Louisville. I was 16. I still have my ticket stub. I paid $10. I bought a Cat Scratch Fever t-shirt, but I don't know what happened to it. I sort have steered away from popular rock bands and strictly got into punk and hardcore.. Anyway, after watching this video, I must say, this song is so right on so many levels, the guitar harmony among Ted and the rhythm guy at the right moments, Ted's amazing voice (I forgot that he has a great rock voice) and his amazingly flawless guitar playing of a really cool song......WOW!!

I've always loved Ted. He's one of my guitar heroes. I don't agree with him 100% politically (I'm a Progressive Democrat. Oh, and I also own guns), but that doesn't take away my enjoyment of his music or his talent. He's that uncle you don't see eye to eye with all the time, but you still love him. I took up archery (partly because of Ted). I'm not a hunter. I don't have anything against hunting, it's just not for me. But I agree with Ted and his views on hunting. He's a true hunter, it's his way of life and I respect him for that.

Every time I hear this song it reminds me of my mom. Sadly, she passed away in 2013. She taught me and my brothers how to cook. She taught us how to build a bow, string it, build the arrows and shoot them accurately. I have my mom's favorite Teddy Bear. Do you know what his name is? FRED

Saw Uncle Ted for the first time at the Pontiac Silverdome back in 1976! He continues to rock it out like no others. He belongs in the R&R HOF, but the Libs will never let that happen😢😢😢

When I watched him live at Soaring Eagle, he faked like he was going to leave without playing Fred Bear. The whole audience, me included, starting chanting "Fred Bear". The lights came back on and there he was, on stage, draped in the American flag. He said something like, "I hear you guys wanna hear Fred Bear." It was amazing! I wish it was on video somewhere.

Listening to his music has really helped me through some hard times, he really does spend a lot of time playing his guitar, everyone cause of politics or some draft thing, well your not perfect either and u cannot say he should of gone if you yourself have never even been in the military, and I don't a crap about politics, the music is what needs to be focused on here and most ppl in there lifetime will never be able to be play guitar like that

I have no dog in the Vietnam war draft protests. I turned 14 two months after Saigon fell. That said when Ted was drafted in 1968 and if I remember right just ignored the notice I do not think he deserves all of the scorn. Yes, he should have gone. As a rock star he would not have carried a rifle. The army would have him go on morale tours and sing I am sure. That said in 68 the hatred of the war was peaking. Nobody wanted to go. If the army wanted him that badly they proved they would put you in jail for draft dodging. Nobody arrested Ted. Why go then??? Look at the Amboy video from then. Ted looked very sissy like. He would not have made a good grunt.
Ted has obviously grown-up a trillion fold since then and has made up for his lack of patriotism now. Carter pardoned all draft dodgers anyway.
Ted, you need to do something like Stallone did in Rambo. He did a movie making soldiers human.( Sly by the way skipped off to Europe and ran from the draft also.) You write a song glorifying the soldiers from Nam. I think it would go a long way to healing the old wounds.
Robert Miller I agree but there's much more to how Ted avoided the draft. Thankfully since I wasn't born until 1966 I have never faced a draft although I did have to register when I turned 18. I can understand wanting to put your life on the line to protect your country during something like WW2 because there was a real threat but Vietnam? I can't see it.

I was front of stage in 1977 when they recorded for Double Live Gonzo at Municipal Auditorium Nashville Tennessee.
They used Just What the Doctor Ordered, Wang Dang Sweet Poontang and Cat Scratch Fever.
I've seen him in concert with Amboy Dukes, then as Ted Nugent 9 times.
