Wait until he colonizes Mars. Building a new civilization from scratch, based on all he learned from history and through his involvement in politics and economics. It will be comparable to founding the USA. And likely with similar consequences, Mars will became a superpower dwarfing any country on Earth. May take a while, but the path is clear.
I know this question is probably way out in the future, but... Any idea when Tesla will start paying dividend to its (longtime) shareholders? At what product volume or P/E ratio? thanks
Elon probably has another 3 decades left in him at least. Hopefully he can be as old as Buffet and still running companies. If so, his impact will be immense.
Gali if you know how to can you make a detailed video on how retail investors could invest say $25-50k in each or his private companies? I’m most interested in Nueralink, xAI, and SpaceX
there's a chunk in the SpaceX section where I explain how it works. not going to be the answer you want (basically its really hard and a bit sketchy to do and hella fees). not financial advice. i can't recommend what to do here. sorry, wish there was a different answer
3:05 “today we’re gonna map out..” *camera pans out to lots of massive sheets of paper*. Lmao, there’s something comedic about that. The printed paper draped on couches is unexpected and funny.
I suspect the Tesla isn't focused on Solar Roof because it doesn't compete with panels in economics due to complexity. Also, cheaper solar panels are not a blocker. Solar panels are cheap AF. The real challenges in the solar industry are elsewhere - such as getting grid interconnection permission. On the grid interconnection front, Elon was talking about Tesla making like something that's big storage like Megapack but also transformers and a Substation. Like something that can not only provide storage, but upgrade the grids ability to move power, all as a single product. LIke what they do with dropping supercharges in at crazy low cost, they're already thinking about building the tech required to get the energy around the grid for way cheaper which is a huuuuuge piece of the energy transition puzzle. I forget what presentation Elon mentioned this... :-/ That would be fire, and I think it only jumped out at lvl 10 energy nerds.
The only reasons to ever go public with a company is 1) need for capital for expansion or 2) cash out. If a founder doesn't need either and is not pressured by "investors" see #2, there is no reason to go public and have to deal with lawyers, activists, regulators, and on and on. Owner can concentrate on the business and its products. Also once company goes public ETS and derivatives come into play and today's laws means you don't own the stock - read the Great Taking you end up with a promissory note but never ownership.
The economics of Mars might make sense from a business standpoint with its direct access to the Asteroid Belt. Can the materials be practically mined and create revenue? Could they be used to transform Mars? Could the asteroid Ceres, having more frozen water on its surface than Earth, have any value for Mars - or as a way station for Mars and the other planets.
SpaceX point to point travel on earth doesn't get enough attention. What am I missing? Ability to travel from anywhere to anywhere on earth within 1 hour (passengers + cargo), isn't that by itself a multi trillion dollar market?
That’s a really good outlook. What level is SpaceX at? I think SpaceX falcon nine is like the roadster First generation. There starship program is like their model S platform and now it’s becoming their model X platform I think they are trying to make There model three or Y Platform. But I think that that is way further down the line. I have to do mass production of rocket engines production starship booster that is further down the line at their model S Add X. Ther STARLINK is getting Better. STARLINK Is getting way better. They have produced their first generation second generation third fourth and fifth and sixth generation Dish for consumers. The same time they have upgraded their satellites. They’re just waiting on starship to launch their better satellites. I think that this is going to be an exciting future.
Voice to text absolutely fails on iPhone. How many times did I have to re-correct because it didn’t even make sense. Or if it didn’t know how to spell STARLINK I had to say each letter out because it won’t receive it otherwise.
Pie in the sky, over the top tsla fanboys, it seems to me. Nothing negative even mentioned. But then i hold 1250 shares and am doing well and i do hope for the best.😊😊
No need to mention negatives, everyone else is doing that 24/7. Also, everything Elon already achieved were pie in the sky ideas, and it's a long list. And he did those with a tiny fraction of the resources and experience he has today. He has to dream really big to challenge himself. I mean he just casually saved western civilization from total collapse, and became unofficial co-president as a side effect.
Solar farms are not an energy solution for the grid. All the calculations put forward always involve 100% efficiency and ignore the cost of the land, the cost of back up which requires conventional replication or batteries. The fact they need replacing every 15 years They are also extremely vulnerable to storms. They require regular cleaning and maintenance over vast areas. They don’t produce base load electricity. Elon thinks America requires 200 miles by 100 miles of panels to power the whole country. That’s 20,000 sq miles. Now imagine the cost of that land and imagine the emissions involved in sourcing the materials and manufacturing that area of panels then transporting them and installing them, cleaning and maintaining them, providing back up batteries and then replacing the lot every 15 years.
Mars is really far away… so I wonder if we should first be on moon, with a massive base there…. And after that’s accomplished, then we could go to mars. It seems like it’s too hard …. And who wants to risk their life to go there, when the place is DEAD 100% INHABITABLE. …. And also I will say, if Mars were a planet that resembled earth, where it apparently HAD life forms, and was livable - then I can see the desire to go there…. And to say that we can just simply create / terraform mars - sounds kinda far fetched. The earth is very special. It has a core that is a giant magnet that reflects solar radiation. Mars doesn’t have this apparently, which is why it’s barren. If God were to fix it, we could go. The Lord Jesus would have to do it. I support Elon, but the mars has to be a “just visiting” thing. This is kind of like people in the time of Jesus trying to go across the pacific or Atlantic. It wasn’t possible, and those that did try - died.
Elon is building civilizational scale tech across so many important sectors, and he’s just getting started. Very excited to watch this unfold.
We are lucky to have Elon!
I like the new format guys. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing the show gell into a weekly cadence.

Elon is about to become a sovereign. His stature alone will be equivalent to a major power in the world. He will become a mini superpower in himself.
Agreed!
Wait until he colonizes Mars. Building a new civilization from scratch, based on all he learned from history and through his involvement in politics and economics. What's up. Haven't kept up with your channel much. Did you do any video on the election (related) chapter of Elon?
People think of Tesla as the Electric car company, not the self driving car company. This here is where our opportunity lies. $tsla
Did the name Colossus come from the 1970 movie "The Forbin Project"?

Gali, what about buying into Ron Barron’s funds that own SpaceX? Is that an option?
Might as well buy enphase for their microinvetor technology at this low of marketcap
The program that you are talking about around 1Hr 6 Min is Breakthrough Starshot...and it is nothing like you described. So, read before you ramble.

No totally. If Optimus can build things on this planet then it can build bougie ass buildings and structures for us on Mars
Will be sending chips to Mars and not much else. They'll build everything else there
You guys should’ve put those slides on the screen for us
This is my favorite content on the internet I will be the third hyperguaper

No one can compete on price with Chinese solar panel manufacturers, so Tesla will probably stay in the solar tile business.

The only problem with twitter is the fact that it is also a cesspool of hatred.
That's the price of free speech.
You don't have to follow people you hate. People who hate you can be blocked with a click. Problem solved.
What’s Twitter?
Guaranteed you’re looking at leftists for the nasty stuff. Follow good content and avoid politics. Block hate spewers.
1:38 “SpaceX taking over Nasa”, what’s that about? Did I miss some news?
