    I add the like before you even start cause i know youre gonna thrill me. Especially the flowers and the hearts. I was a florist for 45 years and have loved hearts since i was old enough to see them.

    This is lovely, but I'm going to share a hint....Glad Press n Seal is sooo much easier to work with on your board than using wax paper. It doesn't move around and can be wiped down and reused many, many times. :) BUT, this was a lovely video. I love the colors!

    I learned how to quill from my Mom and we shared a lot of craft times over the years. She has been gone for a few years and I put my quilling to the side but I was excited to run across this video by chance and you have inspired me to get it back out. I have a wedding card to make and rather than stamp one, I will quill one for my niece. Thank you for reigniting my passion for quilling.

    Another tool that i have found helpful to release the piece from the wax paper is a die-cut machine spatula. They come in kits of tools, with your machine, or you can use the Spellbinders tool-in-one. They're designed to release paper from a sticky cutting mat.

    This is a great tutorial and your instructions are thorough yet easy to follow. I love the look of this project, especially the wobbly flowers. I've not seen before that in any quilling art. I'm definitely going to try your technique and this will be my first project. I plan to put the heart on a card. So I wonder why you can't just create the heart directly on a piece of cardstock, poster board or whatever. Is it because of the pinholes? Thanks!

    • @ThePaperyCraftery
      @ThePaperyCraftery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are going to use pins to keep your work together as it dries, then you will need to work on a cork board and transfer your quilling to your final surface after it dries. Some quillers do all their work on their final surface, but I like the flexibility of using the cork board to correct any mistakes as I go. But do what ever works for you!

    • @ThePaperyCraftery

      If you're in the US, the most common width for traditional quilling is 1/8" (3mm outside the US). Choose what ever colors you love! Some sellers also have sampler packs of all their colors. I do include links to all the papers and supplies that I use in each of my videos in the description boxes so if you see a color that you like in one of my projects, you can find a direct link to it there. The brands I use most often are Quilled Creations ( QuilledCreations.com ) and Craft Harbor Paper ( Quilling.com ). I hope that helps a bit!

    Hi again! Once you remove design from wax paper, what is your method to adhere it to a card or canvas? Have you used spray adhesives? Thanks!

    • @ThePaperyCraftery
      @ThePaperyCraftery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like to use a bit of white glue and I mount on mat board. Card stock will work well too, but be careful with canvases because they can have a little more give to them and your quilling can loosen. I would steer clear of spray adhesive. I find it too hard to control and it's a lot wetter, which can warp your quilling.

      I don't have a direct link for pins for this video but I just use regular pearl-head straight pins you use for sewing 😁

    Beautiful 😻, not sure you said but what type I’d glue did you use?

      I use regular Elmer's white glue for most of my projects. If I use a different glue, I mention what and why. For more info, check out this video 👉 th-cam.com/video/cmfFUvu64Uw/w-d-xo.html

    i love your crafts !!! thank you so much for sharing your creative ideas :) but i have a question, if you use PVA glue to stick them all together, isn't it quite fragile? is there any way to prevent it from falling apart easily :/ i tried quilling something using PVA glue but overtime they started falling off the frame :(

      I use Elmer’s Extra Stength and I know it’s similar to PVA but the formulas may be slightly different. That being said I have quilling projects that are years and years old and they hold up fine. They could fall apart at some point, I suppose, but I haven’t had a problem with it at all.

    Muy bonito su trabajo, pero no entiendo su idioma, no sé si podría pedirle a alguien que le ayude y lo vaya traduciendo, muchas gracias por enseñarnos el Don que Dios le dió....

      Gracias por ver. Puedo traducir pequeños comentarios en línea, pero no videos completos en este momento. Espero que TH-cam comience a traducir automáticamente pronto.
