I don't hate on him, I just don't like him. I relate his success to Tony Hawk. Both became mainstream, attracted the kooks, but both are deeply in skateboarding and they've both been hated on for being commercial.

No Chad Cruso is honestly upsetting. His channel has been a massive help in me relearning transition tricks in my mid-30s and is one of the few channels where his trick instructions are actually well shown and explained without the grating personality. Plus his recent skating across America video is an excellent watch. EDIT: I feel like Zack Dowdy deserves a mention as well. He's a big advocate for mental health awareness in the skate community as well as the diy park scene.
He's insanely talented. Massive stamina too, some tricks he tried on his '50 tricks in 50 states tour' were taking him +3 hours, some mad technical stuff he did as well.

When I was learning ,the big gap skaters were the best. Then skating lost its balls and everyone does flatland. Easy to cut the 100 flips they miss and use the one they land ,try that on big gaps and grinds and they would take whatever they land first 😂 You got my respect now for the Froggy fresh shout out. 🤘
The copy cat systen is just a problem we have throughout all industries and sub cultures right now . Especially music. You have to blame the internet and social media. For the non stop posting schedule we have adapted to. The " challenge" style post and people's natural urge to show everyone not only can I do it too but I can do it better. Analytics and stats are more accessible than ever before and competitive brands and people want to do "what works" as quick as possible...

When I was learning ,the big gap skaters were the best.
Then skating lost its balls and everyone does flatland.
Easy to cut the 100 flips they miss and use the one they land ,try that on big gaps and grinds and they would take whatever they land first 😂

The copy cat systen is just a problem we have throughout all industries and sub cultures right now . Especially music. You have to blame the internet and social media. For the non stop posting schedule we have adapted to. The " challenge" style post and people's natural urge to show everyone not only can I do it too but I can do it better. Analytics and stats are more accessible than ever before and competitive brands and people want to do "what works" as quick as possible...

Not sure why he chose a lot of these guys older parts. To me that feels like the guy at the park who can barely kick flip but says how he used to be really good.

TH-cam’s biggest problem is that none of them can kickflip. Ben, johnny giger and John hill are the only ones with a decent kickflip. Everyone everyone else is in denial so they focus on other stuff. Watch lizard king’s kickflip from the berrics trickapedia, that’s a kickflip.
