This was the joke; “Jada, I love you, G. I Jane 2, can't wait to see it.” He made no mention of alopecia or her hair condition. Comedians hosting and cracking jokes at the Oscars is a tradition, and if you're going to snap in public over a tame joke, you probably should get yourself sorted for the safety of you and your loved ones. Why? You could get yourself and your loved ones seriously hurt by cowardly slapping the wrong person. Did the other attendees that got made fun of have two heads?! So what gives Will & Jada Smith the effrontery to laugh at the expense of others, but get unjustifiably offended and cowardly assault Chris Rock?
And to add it’s been confirmed Chris didn’t write the joke. The Academy wrote the jokes… it was scripted. Jason momoa and all that… jokes scripted. So who knows if Chris knew about the condition. Chris got paid to do a script and to hand over an award. The academy has a responsibility to check if there is any issues/impact of the presenter telling the joke on air. PERIOD. Will has done presentations where it’s been scripted too!!! So it’s obvious he just lost control that’s it. In a 20 second joke Will couldn’t just let it slide in that moment and gather all info before assaulting the man.

Emotional intelligence and logical intelligence are two different things. You develop your emotional intelligence through experiences and awareness of resolving different emotional states. For example, different factors of emotional intelligence are things like conflict resolution, empathy, active listening, and mindfulness. Its not only awareness, but also being able to resolve/deal with/self-soothe those emotions in different aspects. it also controls how you interpret and react to other people's emotions. You learn this through actively searching and learning these skills or from prior experience. There are various different types of intelligence. There are about 7/8 different types of intelligence. I understand what poet is saying, but Chuckie is right. its a false equivalency and a slight weaponisation of the term.
Yesss Poet 🗣 talk the tings!!! I hear what Chuckie is saying about not knowing what's going on behind closed doors, but remember initially Will was bussing up and he knows what's going on so it can't be that.
Will did it all backwards.Should've won the Oscar and had the emotional speech, then get Aggy and shout and then go and slap a man. I think the narrative ends up being a lot different, if it had gone that way round. Regardless, I don't rate Will for slapping my man. The amount of people that disrespect his fam on a regular basis, and he just ignores, and then you choose Chris to lose it with on the biggest stage (for actors). He owes Chris 5mins, he owes Chris' daughters 5mins, he owes Chris' parents 5mins. Can't let Will slide
Will should have done this will should have done that... but he didn't 🤷🏾♀️. Chris Rock has been coming for Jada for decades...and for the two of them and their family as well. This idea that he or they should keep 'taking' these jokes because they have been is silly. People don't get a free pass to mock you everyday just because you're famous and you guys openly discuss your marital situation. Sure, you have to expect it but it doesn't make it okay. Chris beeen butt hurt over Jada so he (a black man) sneak dissed her about her (a black woman) hair in front a mostly white audience where white women are still the beauty standard. It's really shameful. Chris Rock deserved it but Will shouldn't have done it.
I always thought intelligence refers to a person’s cognitive thinking , ie. quick to solve problems. Intellectual points more to gathering knowledge. Emotional intelligence makes perfect sense to me because on top of being aware of your own/others emotions, you need the ability to decipher what the appropriate course of action is, its like common sense, it’s not something you can learn, it’s sensing, then processing then act with sound judgment- all quickly
Please Poet , don’t put it out there that he never knew or looked after his son. Will always put his children first, especially after the way he was treated by his father. Carry on!
Will Smith is being emotionally abused and manipulated. This happens a lot and is very overlooked when it comes to relationships. Men are seen as more dominating physically so that is seen as a more threatening attribute, but women can mentally abuse men and have been allowed to get away with it. All of narratives women knowing how to dig deep to make a man flip is abuse. Will Smith doing something so out of character in that setting shows how damaging that can be. Some men flip and do way worse. We're not allowed to talk the truth because society has made it taboo to even ask the questions.
This American here would just like to interject some info. There is a history of some bad blood between Jada,Will and Chris. I haven’t seen that mentioned in the comments. Just wanted to add that.
@@Kim-427 That's just ome narrative being pushed to justify Will Smith actions. Chris, Will and Jada have worked on projects and interacted many times before that. From Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to Madagascar. Plus you saying that just proves my point. My take was the emotional abuse Will gets from Jada. Yet you ignored the impact that caused and focused on the physical slap / the breaking point. 🤷🏾♂️ 🤦🏾♂️

Chris Rock has had Jada's name in his mouth since 1997! That slap was FOR him. Black men neeeed to learn to stop obsessing over black women's hair... especially in front of an audience of white people WHERE white women are the beauty standard. That's the part that's irking me tbh.
Very True. That joke was the turning point for Will Smith as he had enough of Chris making jokes about his wife.. I knew it was wrong what Will did but Chris might have to realise he shouldn't of dissed another black man wife especially with sensitive joke in white platform. There was other celebs at Oscars but if Chris said something offensive about non black wife. He would get the same treatment as Will Smith..
I think Poets confusing himself with that emotional intelligence & emotional awareness conversation. He was essentially defining emotional intelligence. Its a real psychological term not a new age term social media created
I think I agree w/ Poet actually. I believe emotion is often a reaction/ expression without thought and intelligence is a measure of the ability to think rationally*. So if taken literally emotional intelligence should be an oxymoron . I think I like emotional awareness….awareness being the ability to recognize in a basic sense ….much better.
Emotional intelligence is not just being aware of your emotions. It's allowing yourself to feel your emotions and as chuckie was saying, changing your behaviours depending on, or ahead of, your emotions. Awareness does not equal intelligence. It's the intent and carefully application A lot of people are aware of their own or others emotions, but they lack the ability to make informed decisions based on that or actually tune in and provide insight / support
You guys do realise that Will and Jada are in an open marriage right? They've been speaking about the unconventionality of their marriage for a couple of years. The only reason the August situation blew up was because he caught feelings and made it public. I'm not saying that all of the online scrutiny didn't contribute but there could be way more going on in this man's life than August Alsina jokes, he could literally be going through anything in his personal life that we don't know about, with that being said, Will has more than enough money to afford therapy to get his emotions in under control. He has too much to loose to acting out like that in public. * Edit* I'm not defending Jada by the way, she was 100% disgusting for having any kind of romantic/ sexual relationship with her son's friend, legal age or not, it's just wrong. I can't even imagine how Jaden feels.
Emotional intellegence is different from awareness because intellegence is when you are able to verbalise your feelings and why your feeling that way to another person
Comedy is supposed to make you laugh, but it is also there to make you think. Comedy can, and should do both. Even a comedian whom you dislike, should be capable of telling you something that makes you think on a situation in a way where you learn something.
I think people are choosing to see it different because it's Will. Kim was mocked by so many when she was robbed, let Kanye go slap one of those talk show hosts who talked shit about his wife and people would call him what they been calling him, crazy. But for Will people are dragging "he cracked, he's hurting". So I can't even go off the protect your wife thing. And if it's protect black women (which I am one).. wrong is still wrong and Will Smith was wrong.

That wasn't really dark humour though Chucks, dark humour would be, I love you Jada but when's the next Chemo appointment. That joke was like primary school level it was pretty general and Will's reaction was excessive.

G. I. Jane was a bald joke. She is bald coz of her alopecia, whether he knows or not, that may have affected her badly and Will has witnessed it and therefore, he's reacted that way. It is what it is.🤷🏽♀️😂
@@Laura-sg6ss G.I. Jane has a shaved head/low buzz cut, and so did Jada on that night. Jada is no stranger to short hair, so you’d have to care enough about her to see a faint bald line. Will should take her to turkey if it's that bad. 🤷🏾♂️
@@Ik.Fwego. yh everyone got the job lol I'm saying to them it's probably deeper and yeah they can go turkey, but he made the joke on that night and they ain't been turkey yet so 🤷🏽♀️ what happened, happened 💀
Been waiting for this one still 😂😂😂😂
53:55 Chuckie's vexed that Denzel didn't know Damson's name... and Chuckie didn't even know Damson's name!! #JokeTing 😆
@54:13 Chuckie drawing out big Denzel Washington! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 LOVE IT. DSS ALL DAY!
"You didn't stop him from doing Wild Wild West-You haven't protected him!" 😂😂 FAF
Surely for someone to be emotionally aware they must be able to have some form of intellect to recognise and be aware of themselves….
0:48 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that was a crazy Segway!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Chuckie’s imitation of how they talk is too funny!
15 minutes in and I have to say POET bless up! 👏🏿🙏🏿 💯
Couldn’t agree more!
Where Dan tho ?!
He gotta be in this on here 😂
“FIND IT! FIND IT” 🤣😭 “What Mississipi?”🤣😭😭
LOOL you wanted him to hold it in and then do a U turn lool cold!!
People are acting like alopecia is some deadly disease lol
All bald people have alopecia
Please Poet , don’t put it out there that he never knew or looked after his son. Will always put his children first, especially after the way he was treated by his father. Carry on!
Poet out here making up stories 🤣
Yeah Jada and the first BM were like sister wives he was there and had her permission 😅😂
Been waiting all week for this one!!!
Chuckie was dropping them states lol 😂😂😂😂 Poet be dropping gems you a real one
I remember Chuckie's comments on how Will Smiths speech pattern.. when he was shouting at Rock he shouted in that exact way 🤣 IYKYK
🤦🏾♂️
So out of character?? how do you know?💀
@@Kim-427 weird when a man is being abused theres excuses for way its happening
So desperate to blame women for men's problems.
She literally said in a video that she’s happy with her short hair and alopecia isn’t a problem. But then goes and gets upset by a comedian 🤔. We can’t call that joke dark humour. Ricky Gervias & Jimmy Carr do dark humour. He reacted because of his wife and they boycotted the Oscar’s before surely they knew being front row means be ready for smoke 🙃
Chuckie wearing a Chuckie T-shirt
People are forgetting that will smith was laughing himself, he only done that cause his wife didn’t like it n he clocked everyone was watching him
...and what is the relevance of this point? The joke wasn't on him... why wouldn't he laugh??.
It was after Chris said something about that's the nicest thing he can say
His heads gone to be fair since the entanglement exposure she snatched his man hood. Its a slap ffs hollyweird is essing him up right now. Mean while a whole war was started so this just plays to distraction. The press can suck such it feasting on this. Will isn't Fauchi....
Nervous laughter
@@msla7623 he can laugh but if you find it funny don’t try act all bad now like your pissed off everyone saw him laugh clear as day it wasn’t a nervous laugh he found it funny so why would you now go shouting like you took offence
Chris Rock was just doing his job...
He did. But he should have said different joke.
It’s funny, when po was talking about the fed bashing in the park I could hear specs saying “he didn’t check his mirrors” 😂😂😂
26:20 the reenactment from Chuckie no I’m howling 😭😭😭
I think Poets confusing himself with that emotional intelligence & emotional awareness conversation. He was essentially defining emotional intelligence. Its a real psychological term not a new age term social media created
yeah he was confusing himself and/or unaware of what EI truly means. Intelligence isn't only facts it's how to apply skills and knowledge.
Seemed a lil defensive to me so perhaps he's been called emotionally unintelligent before ?
I think I agree w/ Poet actually. I believe emotion is often a reaction/ expression without thought and intelligence is a measure of the ability to think rationally*. So if taken literally emotional intelligence should be an oxymoron . I think I like emotional awareness….awareness being the ability to recognize in a basic sense ….much better.
That impression was class😂😂😂
YOOOOO THAT WASHINGTON JOKE WENT OVER CHUCKIES HEAD 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Emotional intelligence is not just being aware of your emotions. It's allowing yourself to feel your emotions and as chuckie was saying, changing your behaviours depending on, or ahead of, your emotions. Awareness does not equal intelligence. It's the intent and carefully application
A lot of people are aware of their own or others emotions, but they lack the ability to make informed decisions based on that or actually tune in and provide insight / support
Poet loves a semantic argument
Dear lord, he will argue til he literally makes no sense at all
You guys do realise that Will and Jada are in an open marriage right? They've been speaking about the unconventionality of their marriage for a couple of years. The only reason the August situation blew up was because he caught feelings and made it public. I'm not saying that all of the online scrutiny didn't contribute but there could be way more going on in this man's life than August Alsina jokes, he could literally be going through anything in his personal life that we don't know about, with that being said, Will has more than enough money to afford therapy to get his emotions in under control. He has too much to loose to acting out like that in public.
* Edit*
I'm not defending Jada by the way, she was 100% disgusting for having any kind of romantic/ sexual relationship with her son's friend, legal age or not, it's just wrong. I can't even imagine how Jaden feels.
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!
Been waiting on this one 🤣
Lowkey needed Dan though 😭
Been waiting for this Chuckie! about to 👀
We been needing this!!!
Where's Dan at?
Emotional intellegence is different from awareness because intellegence is when you are able to verbalise your feelings and why your feeling that way to another person
This nigga Poet is spitting facts. He is voicing a unique take and one I wholeheartedly agree with.
Comedy is supposed to make you laugh, but it is also there to make you think. Comedy can, and should do both. Even a comedian whom you dislike, should be capable of telling you something that makes you think on a situation in a way where you learn something.
Im worried for calums health. Is he okay? He just disappeared 😂
1:03:52 - 1:04:03 CHUCKIE HAD ME BUSSING UP HERE!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've been waiting for this one 😅👌🏻
Yeah man!!!!
I've been waiting all week!!!!
Absolutely brilliant episode!
I dunno about you lot but when Chuckie said "you what" @1:02:18 honestly sent me. I'm still levitating now as we speak 😭🤣
And if it's protect black women (which I am one).. wrong is still wrong and Will Smith was wrong.
you can also protect without violence is what alot of people seem to be missing
Shows the power in choosing happiness! There’s is peace in the cycle and it shows how much small things can hold you back. Hope he gets healing
30:00 Did you need to have such a long discussion about semantics?
17:00 life is life
57:00 stinkers and people mistakes (10 min segment)
Poet gave himself 1 too. This episode made me realised people love to chat shit, have opinions etc. They’ll even chat shit passionately, but it’s not personal to you. It’s just human nature
58:08 you come into the world by yourself, you leave by yourself
18:49 You could see it on Chris Rock's FACE!!!! Chris Rock ran through like 15 -20 jokes in his head IMMEDIATELY following the slap that he was RIPE to put out and just DIG IN, but he stopped himself.
That wasn't really dark humour though Chucks, dark humour would be, I love you Jada but when's the next Chemo appointment. That joke was like primary school level it was pretty general and Will's reaction was excessive.
Jada’s hasn’t protected Will
Willow smiths letter to 2Pac speaks volumes
Imagine going from being the guy to a meme. Crazy
Poet said a 'Blad Win' loooool Damn.
Yall didn't talk about the fact that Will's first reaction was to laugh this has nothing to do with him protecting his woman
The part arguing over the semantics of emotional intelligence was hard to listen to 😭 I think I lost brain cells. Emotional intelligence has been an established term in psychology since the 1960s.
We needed Dan on this... Poet was on a mad one 😂
Poet arguing about emotional intelligence was a lot. Chuckle gave him ALOT of grace 🤣
Chuckie wearing Chuckie is what we call a double entendre
Chuckie and Poet the GOAT🐐🐐
🤣🤣🤣 go get you a Safarae (Safari) listen Chuckie dropped bars
Chuckie is killing me!!!!! “FIND IT”
Emotional intelligence/ Emotional quotient is often defined as the ability to perceive, use, understand, manage, and handle emotions, Poet, this is a concept in the psychoanalysis field and human psychology.
grammatically you are right but EQ is not a grammatical concept. just to explain
chucky got his head slapped off? 'defo funny poet'
The Baldwin joke was top tier 🤌🏾✨
The thumbnail 😂😂😂
