I am also so very excited for the safehouse costumization. :) There are quite a few places that are in need of some tidying. :)
Both wildlife update and the safehouse customization are the two things I've been looking forward to since the details of the DLC were announced. The new cooking system was a close 3rd and I feel it could have included more but was still great.
I hope they add more to the cooking. Can recipes would be nice.

I've finished episode 4 a few years ago... I think I will replay all episodes when ep5 hits. just to refresh my memory and get the whole experience as intended.
and of course I'm really hyped for part 6 of the tales. I've really enjoyed the DLC and I have a completely free December, no work at all, so perfect timing.
also the instant camera part? I love it!! especially the sepia ones remind me of the RDR2 shots, I loved them as well... will be totally plastering my base walls with them!
Your excitement is infectious! I have been fan of The Long Dark since I found the Kickstarter campaign. I used to play this game a lot. But in recent years, I only played the episodes. Just because I lost my sense of wonder. And I am hoping that I can reignite this feeling when I return to the game once it’s finished. I don’t know many of the new maps very well, some not at all. (and it excites me). I bought the Tales DLC, but haven’t played much. Safe house customisation sounds exciting, more crafting sounds exciting.
I watch your content here and there (just because I don’t want to spoil myself with new content), but I just wanted so say: Fantastic content. Very dedicated and insightful content.
I wonder how they will change the bear because are they going to move the caves as well?
was thinking the same myself -- maybe the patrol changes, but it would still have to center around their home to a certain degree

Thanks for your thoughts! I visited Acadia Oct 1-3 and thought about you being somewhere in Maine.
I play mostly custom (because I can't handle stabbing wolves with the hurt puppy sounds) so the wildlife refresh isn't concerning for me, just gonna be super fun watching loper players re-learn the spawns (what if they're no longer static?) and what ever else comes with it. Safehouse customization is the biggest reason why I got Tales to begin with (new regions and the cougar being right after) and super happy with what they showed us in the dev diary, I had my expectations waaaay lower lol. Now I'm properly hyped. I have no thoughts on the trader yet, gonna have to see how it affects surviving on loper loot settings for me personally, but it sounds interesting. Also happy they're not a person just in the world located sitting in a cabin somewhere, but overall we'll see how it'll affect gameplay and what the unique items are. If the unique items at launch or later are at all tied to safehouse customization then I'll probably play with it on for extra decorations or whatever, but then just generally ignore it if the other items are too much. Hopefully they're not at all linked though, that'd be my preference.
