When Disturb got permission to do a song that's already legendary, Paul Simon called David Draiman as soon as he heard David's version and told him it was actually better than his version. Paul loved the way it was done. He didn't think it could turn into a power ballad. And the light show is incredible.

I love that you noticed this! One of my favourite parts of this sequence (as well as the most time consuming), we setting the piano to the spiders.. The bass is on the spider bodies, and the treble on the legs.

Great video and light show. Nothing can ever beat the Wizards of Winter light show by Transiberian Orchestra. That is the most amazing light show I've ever seen. But this song sung by Disturbed is GORGEOUS! That mans voice is beautiful.
I'd be synching it to Tubular Bells. And mix in some Mercedes McCambridge horse, gravelly voice of Pazuzu, from the Exorcist. Maybe Lotte Lenya singing the original Mack the Knife, a sinister, dark, jaunty carnival tune evoking automatons mechanically moving without any humans, devoid of humanity.
His voice is so beautiful, I hope he doesn't ruin it with the screaming. Not that I have anything against screaming, I just am opposed to beautiful voices being ruined!

He is on beat throughout the entire song. Yes, there are devices you can hook up to the lights that senses the music, however, they are usually a second or two behind the beat. But Considering how long this song is, it definitely would have been noticed. I want this guy as my neighbor!!!

They set the lights to the instruments rather than the vocals. This allows for more intricate sequences as we saw. Sheer brilliance.
