Don’t be hard on your self. Look at non scale victories. Great job.

I am proud that I have been able to stick on the diet for most of the last couple months. I can feel I am improving, I just need more patience. >

Keep it up! You've got a whole 60-odd years to figure stuff out - super frustrating when it doesn't happen on your timeline, but you'll figure it out. Your past failures - please don't blame yourself. If you fail, it's only because you're still searching for what works for you, not because you're any less motivated or capable or valuable. I've been thinking quite a bit about goal setting over the past couple years, and have been trying off and on to organize my thoughts on paper. Mind if I send you some notes later?

That would be great. I am always interested in improving my goal setting abilities.

I need to tap into that kind of dedication for sure.

Weigh in fluctuations are mostly caused by water retention so i'd advised not to weigh in everyday because of that if it will make you less motivated to work out in that day (sometimes its hard i know, been there a lot of times even after weeks on the same number we just gotta push through). One of the things I do on my "non-workout" days is a bit of yoga stretches and position to help aliviate some soreness and pain on my joints and i can feel the difference when I workout on the other days, it complements the mind and the body as one.

I do want to do some meditation and yoga to get more limber. Do you have any suggested videos or yoga plans that you do?

@@CarlosDiamond Yes I have some videos that I follow that are 55 min workouts with music and tracks like choreography movements that repeat a certain number of times following the music. Its called les mills bodyflow and its something like this th-cam.com/video/b03ax8y0g9E/w-d-xo.html. I have the real instructional videos sent to me that are like this th-cam.com/video/0QK1wmfcQZM/w-d-xo.html. Les Mills has a lot of cool workout programs, I follow bodycombat (martial arts training that you can do at home) and bodypump (weight training that requires equipment like a barbell and some dumbells), all them follow the same pattern: 10 tracks each with its own music and choreography/style that its fun to do and you sweat a ton!

@@CarlosDiamond Just in case you want to try and do the combat workout they have uploaded some videos with different lengths to their youtube channel so people can see if they enjoy them. Here is the easiest one its just the warm-up part of a 55 min workout, just 8 min that you can do in the morning in front of your tv and sweat a bit and have some fun th-cam.com/video/gid7mT-1YnY/w-d-xo.html

I like the other comments. One thing that I have been doing is make it so small of a change that I know that I can do that one. Then I build one that success to the next on I know I can do. By small means I will show men great things. Remember that athletes don't start out good, or disciplined in anything they start. It is by trial and error that they become good at what they do. You are becoming the person you want to be, by making the effort to become it. Remember how it was when I could beat you every time at a video game and then one day after a lot of practice you found out that your Dad was not as good at video games as you were. LOL I am your greatest fan! keep going. You can make it.
