if you are going through a lot of water, you likely have a bad battery, or the charger voltage is too high. If all the batteries and cells are taking water evenly, it's likely not the batteries. if one battery or one cell is taking more then the others then it's probably the battery. pay attention to how much water goes in each cell next time. or see if one is hotter then the others while charging

At minute marker 6:50 could it also be the case that the batteries are bad?

I have a triple bank charger. I pulled out 3 different size of fuses 5amp 15amp 25amp how do I know where they go

Hmmm, surprised to see different fuses for each charger leg, sounds like your battery charger has different outputs. Check the manual to see which fuses goes on which charger leg.

@@PacificYachtSystems I called Mariner dealership and they said they should all be 25amp and funny part is I bought it new like that with different fuses.

Charles Battery Chargers, I have this Charles 12152SPA Battery Charger 15A 12V 2000Sp, anyone know of these chargers? It’s in the console of my ‘91 25’ Boston whaler outrage center console, has a selector switch with lead, gel, and agm as options.. since I’ve started watching these videos, and being on lock down with this pandemic, I’ve gone through documented all old wiring, and going to replace and upgrade along with move batteries into console from aft port and starboard corner lockers. So curious if still good enough to keep? Any advice would be appreciated.. mr. cotes great videos, thanks so much.. binge watching your videos I’ve learned to identify and have found mcgyver innovations in my wiring.. be well and stay healthy!

Hi Cepuras, our understanding of batteries and what they for charging and battery life as evolved dramatically over the last 30 years. You'll do your batteries a huge favor (and in doing so increasing their life and savings for you) by getting a modern battery charger.

wished pronautic chargers would upgrade their terminals from no8 to 1/4 studs like the early chargers. how do they expect 20,30,50 amps to be moved on a piece of 10awg when you can't even fit a quality no8 ring on it.. stupid.
