Put your fingers on E chord and look at where they are at. 022100. 0 = open string 2 = second fret 2 = second fret 0 = open and 0 = open. I put those numbers on the chords for new players. The chords new players may not know. Like Bm 224432 or Eb 668886 or F# 244322. Most new players know G, C, D , A, . Hope this helps. If not let me know It is always good to ask questions.
