    That is it! I'm stealing ' Giggle pots' when I teach. Do you have any more? appropriate for children 11-16 years old? You are the best teacher about bees.

    Mark and John, I spend my week waiting for an episode from you guys. When it comes i like to sit down make a perfect coffee and marvel over what you guys come up with.......thinking this is what being Australian is.
    We come up with crazy ideas, some nearly kill us, others become part of everyday life.
    Could be shit could be good!!!

    Now where do I start? LOL
    1. get yourself a cheap drop saw/slide saw.
    2. use pine and nail the bloomin thing together...or better still get a whole lot of free-bee pallets and cut them in half.
    3. incorporate bottom boards into the pallets and use U-brackets to hold the brood boxes in place...like the Canadian bee-keeper guy,....now that guy has got his shit together LOL.

    Mark and John I love watching these episodes. You two are so funny! I do feel bad for Mark, though, watching his frustration and laughing through it at times I'd want to break something if I were in a similar position - way to go!

    Measurements part was a good chuckle between metric millimeters and centimeters! Us imperial blokes and our inches aren't that bad, now are they! :)

    • @PilotMcbride
      @PilotMcbride 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      🤣🤣. But for a given size, the imperial is always shorter because there's many more millimetres than inches. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Illogical logic. 🤣🤣

    Crikey lads, That saw - my old man was doing that and put a beam through mums Sliding door made of glass. No glasses, no hearing protection, Really Mark? What are we all going to do if you ice yourself doing something like this! Blunt drill bits BBM are not your friend, sharpen them FFS - You don't need a wooden drill if they are sharp LMAO! This shed work kind of reminded me of the episode from Monty Pythons Life of Brian when the Judean People's Front Crack Suicide Squad turned up. Glad you are all in one piece! Stay safe!

    I sure that just grabbing some skid pallets would be easier many place's just toss them out. That loader should have a plate that states weight(if it doesn't what ever safety mob in SA will toss book at you) remember the load always reduce's futher away from the centre mass ie crane base.Most loaders should handle 4 x Deep honey boxs,i would think that loader is 200kgs at outer most lift.Average Full Honey deep is 40kgs,so moving 2x hives on a stand 2 x high plus roof,bottoms straps will be under the max lift of the loader. If you make more pallets places 2 screws as 1 centred might make it a pivot point make load move.

    Should checkout A Canadian Beekeepers Blog. He uses a EZ loader with the use of pallets and works very well for him. He has 1500 bee hives

    That first screw you showed. It looked like flood decking screws with a flat tip . If so they are used in pre drilled holes thru wood an steel the tip cuts the threads in the steel beam like a trailer. It may not have been I did not get a good look at it if so the screw has like a flat tip on it . It is not for wood to wood. Hope that helps. Thanks for your video’s.

    Around the 6min mark you mentioned 40 centimeters and 60 centimeters....Did you mean Millimeters? ie 4 cm and 6cm vs the extra x10? At 2.54centimeters per inch....a a 40 centimeter board.....is around 16 inches...and a 60vm is 24 inches or 2ft....and there is only just over 3ft in a meter....so I think you meant millimeters. :) Still a fun video, I always enjoy the videos that you do.

    And please get or make a cross cut sled/bar or some such, it is super dangerous to freehand cuts on a table saw...if it twists at all it can throw the entire board back at you with kickback...and we want you to be making many videos for many years to come. ;)

    Haha it’s funny reading the comments and hearing the confusing mention of inches. Millimeters is definitely spot on accurate to eg- 3’and 5/32. We are told an inch is roughly 25mm, so how confusing is it to divert an inch into 32 parts and then need 5 parts of that if measuring. Am I just confusing myself or is that the right way of reading inches

    How NOT to use a tablesaw 101......lol

  • @R.M.MacFru
    @R.M.MacFru 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mark...centi = 100
    Milli = 1000
    So 1 centimeter is 1/100th of a meter
    1 millimeter is 1/1000th of a meter.
    Millimeters are more precise, but you need to be careful of those zeros. ;)

    PLEEEEASSSE retire that table saw. my god man. every time I see you use that to crosscut something without a miter sled i cringe inside. Kickback is a real thing. kickback kills and maims.
    you can use a table saw safely. just not THAT one. anything but that saw. send that one to the scrap yard. If all you do is crosscuts just buy a miter saw / chop saw... you can get a BRILLIANT one brand new for about $100 and it wont kill you. it also will cut straight every time.

  • @notafuckinpplperson8233

    This is why we just use inches lol
    Grab actual pallets and just cut them in half. Done. So much easier. Just like our inch measurements lol
    Cutting like that with a saw like that is deadly. Frick that

    Get rid of that dodgy little table saw. They are bloody dangerous, especially when they don't have a guard or a fence. I use a large radial arm saw. I also make hives etc with a large panel saw. Watching that was dreadful.

    This clearly shows the mistake Australia made when we converted to metrics. There is absolutely no need for centimetres just use millimeters then metres. ie 1800mm or 1.8 metres, no confusion.

    • @darrynreid4500
