Great job making things work for you Finn! I was lucky that I have a machinist brother. He fabbed a custom circlip installing tool for me since I used aftermarket pistons, circlips and pins and the OEM tool doesn't work on those. I also do my bank 2 assembly with the pistons tops facing down. That way, if the circlip falls, it falls outside and not inside the engine. It also makes it easier to center the rods on the piston with their own gravity. I believe the 'book' says to have the pistons facing up but me being the eternal rebel, do it oposite. This a rare occasion when going against the rules pays off. lol Take care!

Well done. Did you put in new chain rails? Or just the worn out vario cam guides? I know the vario cam guides often wear out first. Cause the cam deviation. Ie throwing out timing
