Thanks ! I tried all of your methods for 2 days then i gave up. Later i tried again after 2 weeks and its now working. This is what worked for me - I tapped apple watch on sides and even i held my watch and hit it on a table 2-3 times 😂 and when i force restarted using two buttons, i saw the apple logo and the display is working since then.
Wow, after charging for 3 days and holding two buttons in and even a few spam presses on the side button nothing worked. I tried finger pounding several times. Finally, after about 3 rounds of finger pounding the side of the watch it came on. This is a Series 6 watch and the only fixes I could find on that one was press and hold two buttons. I'm so glad I watched your video and it actually worked!! Thank you so much! It may be coincidence, but the last time Apple pushed an update my watch would not turn on. Both times I was charging the watch when it happened. May be nothing but thought I would mention it.
Thanks! I had gone through about half of your options just by chance with intermittent success followed by another black screen. So I’m gonna go through all of them after I watch it again. I just wanted to show some support before I started fighting my watch again and forget. Thanks for the very helpful video.
So… after two rounds of this I’m happy to say you helped me restore my Apple Watch. It had been black screened for 3 weeks. The second round of 15 min in the freezer helped. It came on with the red snake… I put it on the charger and now it’s back to normal!!! Thanks you much
FYI, if you have this problem but your watch still works, the problem might be your watch is not water resistant. This is my personal experience, had my Apple Watch for 6 months, used it basically for daily activities. Never took a shower or swim with it, so the only contact it had with water was whenever I washed my hands or sweat after a workout. Then the screen goes blind but I can still feel it working and was managing it with phone app. I came here did all theses step and had fleeting victory. One day I decided to keep it dry over night and all day and the screen worked all day perfectly till I went to the gym and began to sweat buckets, after 1 hour of working out the screen went off again. I dried it and kept in front of the ac to dry again overnight and all day and it was on again all day till I began to sweat during my workout again which is the purpose I bought it for. Very sad considering how much it costs to own one.
The tapping is what worked. I tried the force restarts and turning on/off multiple times and was so frustrated that the watch wouldn't turn on. On the second try, steady and somewhat hard taps on the front, back and sides of the watch followed by the force restart worked. I thought me watch was toast. Thanks so much for the solution.
The one other best step i did after trying all the steps is …. Drain out all the battery keep the watch aside for a some days and try to charge it will it will fix… Apple products max resolve them self instead of opening and fixing … one Apple service person did open the display and told display was gone but after draining the battery it is working fine with no issues
Worked for me after having a black screen with no logo appearing - when trying to reset, and also no light on when connected to power! did not try the last step. thanks a lot!
Bro I appreciate u so much I tried the tapping and face changing method and it actually worked . I really didn’t think it was going to it just kind of sounded corny and to good to be true. Thank you sir I really appreciate it once again!
I had dead snake 🐍 I tried to force restart it but it wouldn’t work. I let it drain then put it back on charge still didn’t work. After watching your video I tried to tap it and pressed the front screen and the back and repeated that 3 times on the 3rd time I put it in charge and after 5 mins it turned on. Thank you
Thank you! The first stepped worked for me. So odd. I went to put it on this morning and the screen just went black. Your first step worked with holding both buttons in.
Omg! I have Apple Watch 6 and it just went blank on me. Still working and receiving notifications etc but black screen. Apple said it would cost $349 to change my screen. Verizon was of no help. My warranty just ended 1.5 months ago. thank you so much! I tried all of these steps with no luck, numerous times. I did freezer method and it worked! Thank you so much! Not sure how long it will work for but it’s working now. Phew!
I can't thank you enough. My series 7 has been off for about a year and wouldn't turn on when I decided to use it today. I was at my wits end when I saw your video. I threw it into the refrigerator for 15 minutes and did the tapping and bam! It's on
The idea of putting the watch in the refrigrator looks wierd but when am using it ... its amazing amazing it solve the problem.. and my watch working again .. when all solutions fails.. thanks alot ..1000 likes for you ..
OMG, after about an hour of trying everything, finally decided to put the watch in the freezer and was totally amazed it worked!!!! Thanks so much, really thought I was going to have to buy a new watch.
What I found on my watch that kept it from turning on with wrist movement was the 'Celebration Switch' on the watch face. When this is 'ON' (Highlighted), the watch won't turn on, unless you touch the dial button. You'll need to swipe-up on the bottom edge of the watch; locate the icon with the two faces (Highlighted); and now make sure that is turned off! That's it! My watch gave me a New Years celebration icon and it really messed me up. Try this, either way.. Best!
I tried all your tips in the order you showed. Not sure which one was most effective, but soon the apple appeared. After some tapping and pressing, the clock face appeared. I had nothing for days. Thank you.
I have an Apple Watch Series 4 and about a week ago, after a software update (maybe a day or so later) my watch starting acting weird and I got a spinning wheel (like buffering on a PC) then a message that said "Erase all content and settings? This will reset the device to factory defaults." and the only options I had were "Cancel" or "Reset". I kept trying "Cancel" with no luck so I decided to try "Reset". The watch appeared to do the reset, but when it tried to turn on again it would go from a black screen to just the Apple logo for a few seconds, then black screen again. This would just continue on for as long as I tried to power on and every time I tried to hard reset with both buttons. I watched this video after watching a few others and had already tried most of what was recommended, but I hadn't heard of putting it in the freezer yet. I put it in the freezer and only intended to leave it in for 15 minutes but I forgot about it and left it in for about an hour. I took it out, wiped off the condensation for several minutes until it stopped forming, put it on the charger and it powered on as normal. It then prompted me to pair with my iPhone just like it should when new or factory reset. I'm happy to report that this freezer trick worked for me. Thank you 😁
I am soooo relieved! My watch was revived! The first 6 attempts didn't work, but after putting it in the freezer and cleaning all ports it finally began to charge and is working perfectly.....
I have a series 7 that is less than a year old, this afternoon during a workout it started only displaying the 'always on' part but not the actual 'on' part. Rebooting a few times did not help, mor did changing the watch face a few times. In fact, the faded version of my watch face still showed the original one and not the ones I'd changed it to. Spamming the crown and button fixed my issue immediately. tysm for this, I was at a loss otherwise.
Just wanted to add that Apple devices come ready to triple click the home or side button to enter VoiceOver, so a person can use it even if the screen is on the fritz, it's just awkward to use VoiceOver if you're used to seeing.
should you have to do this on a new watch?? I've had mine for 2 months and it wouldn't turn on after having it off, even after a reset, I threw it in my bag and then by the time I got to work it was on again. So not sure if it was frozen or wouldn't turn on
No you shouldn't. These watches are trash. 2 brand new same black screen on both. These steps you find on youtube that everyone is stealing from each other are awful advice. You don't ever tap all over a screen. It's like asking someone to smash your head on a window. Awful tips. Take it to the apple store or get a refund and get an actual watch.
Okay, so work this one out: My mum’s watch (which was previously mine) had a black screen but the artificial voice that tells her the time worked but seemed slow. Figured the watch had had its day, so I bought her a new watch. I set up the new watch from her phone….. and it has exactly the same issue! So it’s like it has inherited the black screen from the Watch app/paired phone settings. So not a hardware issue?
do I have to be on wifi in order for all of these to work? My Wifi is down and none of these steps are working so I am not sure if that would contribute. I will try again once our service gets restored.
Thank you so much for this useful advice. I’ve been hearing the voice over but still no luck. I’ve done this twice over and over until pls Times throughout the week and I really want to avoid going to the Apple Store at all costs. They’ll only tell me to get a new watch
Omg thank you soooo much. I was about to go off 👏👏👏👏 not impressed that apple charge a ridiculous amount to have its customers to take these drastic measures😡😡
Thank you so much my, watch was weird after I went to some spring and was in the water then it got heated then died. But when I got home and charged it still wasn't turning on, I could feel its vibration as if I was going to power it off but, still had a black screen. I just held both down until I saw the apple and it worked thanks so much!!
Thank you so much! You just saved my sanity and my life. It wouldn't turn in h master what I did. But II followed your steps, and it came back to life! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks ! I tried all of your methods for 2 days then i gave up. Later i tried again after 2 weeks and its now working. As much as I personally dislike Apple products, I will confirm that after 20-25 in freezer it fixed the issue. Thank you.
I can’t believe this actually worked! I went through all the steps once, put it back on the charger, then hard reset it and it works fine now. Thanks!
tapping then holding both buttons down for a few seconds finally got the damn thing to come on. Thanks for the video I appreciate it!
Thanks for this video. It helps alot.my watch was turn off i dont know what happen.

I can’t believe it, the tapping really worked for me! Crazy!
And it worked on an older watch.
Worked for me after having a black screen with no logo appearing - when trying to reset, and also no light on when connected to power! did not try the last step. thanks a lot!

Thank you 💗.
Your first tip haf solved my problem.
But why did it happened?
I was skeptical about it but the freezer worked! Wow! Thanks so much for sharing this!!!
Thank you
OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I was so worried I would half to get it fixed. I already broke my phone this week 😥
Thank you! The first stepped worked for me. So odd. I went to put it on this morning and the screen just went black. Your first step worked with holding both buttons in.
Does this work for a Apple watch SE?
Thanks bro I literally bought one today brand new and this happened and you helped me
Bro, same thing with me. I have a BRAND NEW WATCH. This garbage is happening to me. I'm beyond PISSED.
Im beyond pissed
The rubbing with two thumbs worked!
Thank you so very much.
I’m so relieved.
Oh wow! This actually worked! My watch hadn’t turned on for MONTHS prior to this.
You are a lifesaver bro !!! Thank you, I tried the 7 steps and it started working after that …
Thanks bro your information helped me to turn on back my new watch
Omg! I have Apple Watch 6 and it just went blank on me. Still working and receiving notifications etc but black screen. Apple said it would cost $349 to change my screen. Verizon was of no help. Thanks!! Did steps in order and the watch face came up after tapping all over. 😅
Definitely in the freezer for 15 minutes.. Sure did work for me everything else was a dud!! Thanks and good luck guys..
Wouldnt putting it in the freezer harm it tho?
I thought the same thing… But it seems like it fixed it
@@bearded3615 Mine’s in my office freezer right now. Hopefully this works because nothing else did. Mine just quit working during a weekly swim.
@@Branbran1993 wait what ? Mine stopped working after I had a shower
@@Branbran1993 did that worked

Is it true???
@Bryan Bejasa most definitely. Worked like magic. I got the watch as a gift but never got around using it. I'm so glad I found this video
I don’t know how but freezing technique worked perfectly in my case😊
The idea of putting the watch in the refrigrator looks wierd but when am using it ... its amazing amazing it solve the problem.. and my watch working again .. when all solutions fails.. thanks alot ..1000 likes for

thats the theater mode, keeps the screen off so that you dont disturb the others in the dark (at the movies, theater...)

Thank you sooo much honestly my watch wouldn’t come on was panicking thank you 🥰🥰
My watch is a series 7 sport it has the Digital Crown but does not have the side button to push? How do I force a restart?
The first reset mentioned fixed my Apple Watch 8. Thank you!

Thank you for this video! It finally turned on when I put it in the freezer!
What if it unpaired from your phone too?
Thank you. Saved me a trip to T-Mobile. Worked the first time.👍🏻
Thank you it worked on the first time in the freezer
Not gonna lie. I was skeptical. But the freaking freezer step is what fixed mine! Can’t believe it! Thank you sir!
Me too dude.
Thanks it worked! The 2 button reset did it.

what worked for me was pressing hard on the screen. 3rd time was a charm!!
I do that with my Roku TV remote and it works
I have the 6 series watch. Should’ve waited for the 7.
it's worked for me at the second last step (before freezer method). Thanks!
Thank you, I let it sit for 10 minutes put it on the charger after the freezer start and it showed charge icon then new clock face . Up and runningc

Did all this. Then looked at “theater”. It was on! Turned it off and alls well. Thanks.
Yep, and it happened for Series 3. I still have it. I told them about the issue 2 years ago, and they said to buy a new watch.
Tried all steps 4 or 5 time and the freezer step once. The next morning apple watch switched on! Thanks.
The first step is working out for me
Thank you
The spamming of the buttons, putting it on the charger and then restarting it worked, that’s crazy! Thanks
Brilliant - thank you. First round until in-the-freezer did the trick!

Worked for me by tapping it around on the first attempt. Unbelievable, thank you!
Thankfully the two button restart worked for me. Sad that you have to go through that to make a $700 watch work. But, thank you so much!!!!!!
Thank you very much. Your video is usefull its been black for a day but when i saw your vid and try and its ok now
Thank God we have like you or else we think it's not working no more
After that tapping method..😅😊 my watch finally came on …. Phew I was getting worried .

OMG the rubbing and tapping on the sides worked for me! THANK YOUUUUUUU!!!!
