Hey Mordian, it’s great to see other games systems on the channel! Might I recommend you the awesome game called Men Who Would Be Kings? It’s a fun system and myself and my mates have been having a blast playing British vs Zulu narratives
Have you considered looking at konflikt 47? By the same company as bolt action and uses many of the same infantry models but has a bunch of diesel punk and ww2 conspiracy sci fi weapons sprinkled in with late WW2 units like literal nazi zombies, laser turreted panzer IVs werewolves, clunky walkers, 10 foot dr who robot infantry etc…
Im pretty sure the 25pdr is the contempory gun at the time replacing the 18pdr which would still be in use by less important unita etc. And the 25pdr stayed in service until 1960 or 70 something when ever the current gun replaced it.
While the Italians don't have a Halftrack, they do get the amazing Autoprotetto S37 which is Perfect for transporting Guastatori. 7+ armor, 8 man capacity and wheeled movement.
Lads just wanted to help the algorithm with a comment (haha) but mainly to compliment your narration! Don't know what it is but you've got one of those voices , it's like you know them, like someone you know, or someone famous off the telly, you know what I mean? perfect for tabletop game description because you always sound excited and ready for a laugh. It keeps it interesting even when some elements of tabletop gaming can appear a bit nerdy and dull to non game players etc, (NOT US of course!! Lol I can watch someone reading the phone book as long as there's ww2 on the cover hehehe.) But anyway , keep up the good show, keep your infectious enthusiasm, and your thsnk brilliant mate to play against. Your friendship shines through and helps make it watchable too. Cool armies , cool tables . Just ...cool! 🤣
If I can ask what is your opinion on the Stuart, specifically the VI version with heavy frontal armour, and it can be recce. Seems its all you could want in a armored support for your infantry, with plenty on machinegun fire and not too expensinve at 145 points? Same with a jeep for 40 ish with 2 lmg's? Been playing with my canadians and they are stellar. Oh and another thing, if you got a chance to play with miniwargaming? They did some bolt action games and i like you both. Would be so fun to see you together. Cheers for another great video.
Just to pick up on your comments on Shermans and Cromwells. By 8th army, do you mean in the North African campaign? If so, the Shermans in North Africa would have bean mostly Mk II's and III's - the V would come later, so maybe that would be right for 44/45 in the Italian campaign - I usually associate the V with Northern Europe but obviously a 75mm Sherman does the same thing in Bolt Action, regardless of the exact mark (well mostly). The Cromwell was too late for the desert and I think it was only in Northern Europe but in Bolt Action it doesn't matter unless you're trying to be historically accurate

A Boy ATR with à Cromwell in the same army? The ATR was not retired when the Cromwell entered the war in late 44?

Buy a copy of the new Case Blue book ,the Italians get some new Army rules a units that are quite tasty 😋
@OverlordZephyros their tanks 'sucking' is a bit of an exerageration.
For bolt action you are probably gonna want their assault guns.
