For the first time ever I was impressed with a Jinder match. Hats off for him putting in the effort and of course it doesn't hurt than AJ made him look like a god as only AJ can
I don't want to see a squash match on a payperview. Breeze and Dango deserve better after that build. They could've at least thrown Ascension in there for some interference to drag it out a few more minutes.
They are a comedy duo, but they can also work. And it would've been a decent way to build a feud with Ascension. Smackdown's got tag talent coming out the ears and there's just so much that could be done.
It's always been that way. WWE have their idea on who the man should be, the fans have their idea. If the fans cheers loud enough sometimes WWE listen to them. Sometimes they don't though
Dolph Ziggler winning = epic. Rusev & English losing after a badass build up = predictable bollocks from creative as Rusev is getting over (so expect the angle to be dropped), Usos won (don't give a fuck). AJ retaining cool, Charlotte retaining, cool. Mojo won .... meh. Breezedango getting over so lets bury them. Vince - go fucking retire ASAP!
Tim Dakumah Rusev and English didn’t “really” lose since they weren’t the ones that got pinned. I think creative wanted to make the Usos look strong while keeping Rusev and English from looking weak. That’s why they pinned Gable
I was there and when Nadi was crying after the camera shut off she was perfectly fine and walked away. And she wasn't crying it was the funniest thing ever
I don't know why people think that just because Jinder lost, his run is over. Jinder carried the majority of the match from Clash of Champions, so he is still being billed as a threat. He just got too cocky with trying a Styles Clash, which got reversed on him. But overall, he was booked as being strong from the match.
I disagree. AJ and Jinder was an up! I thought that was a great match. Jinder performed amazingly. The storytelling was well thought out and punctuated. Singhs got dealt with. I wanted to see Jinder go crazy and hit AJ with 3 slams for the win..... but ehhh
Frna79_esNatoc I do indeed there were some fantastic PPV stage designs. Now there boring. Wwe need to bring bk PPV stages it and pryos. It added to the excitement.
i'd say randy and shinsuke aren't heels by default, because frankly they're being misled by shane, but sami and kevin are now faces, as they have basically exposed shane o' mac for being a bad person.
U hate jinder for apparently no fcking reason! The match was brilliant . Jinder put on a great match and is constantly improving. You have decided to hate him and no matter what he does u will continue to do so! That is rubbish . The man has done so much hardwork and everyone loved the match! Maharaja 💖
AJ did his part in the match too but I agree. This channel has a very particular way of how they enjoying wrestling. They've already made up their minds on Jinder. Tons of the comments here disagree with Simon and WhatCulture isn't the pinnacle of wrestling knowledge by any means.
The man literaly says in the beginning of every ups and downs that you can like, dislike, agree or disagree.....and that it is all ok. So to get mad at "hate for Jinder" is kind of silly. everybody their opinion. By the way...decent match but Jinder still sucks though.
Yeah but let's not act like Simon doesn't have this massive platform to push his beliefs on what he thinks the WWE should be. Most are disagreeing with him here.
WWE Clash of the Champions match rating and overall ratings. 1.Mojo vs Zack Ryder -2.5/5 2.Dolph vs Baron vs Bobby Roode-3.5/5 3.The Usos vs The New Day vs Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable vs Rusev and Aiden English-4/5 4.Charlotte vs Natalya-2/5 5.Breezango vs Bludgeon Brothers-2.5/5 6.KO and Sami vs Shinsuke and Randy Orton-3/5 7.AJ vs Jinder Mahal-4/5 8.Overall ratings-3/5.
Really disagree with you on the main event. It was Jinder’s best match and AJ walked out with the title so I don’t think they could have done much more.
it was nice to see Jinder actually improving and showing that he's learning to be better in the ring, I think he looked better in this match than he has all year. Maybe not a title contender but he's improving and it's nice to see he's making the effort.
Simon, I usually love your ups and downs, but how in the hell do you give the Jinder/AJ match a down??!! It was a clinic of storytelling! AJ carried Mahal to his best match yet. Pretty disappointed here...
My expectations watching this ppv were very low, surprisingly it was actually rather good. Except the womans match that was a complete and utter disaster.
I just want to highlight something no one is really talking about. Daniel Bryan got shoved over in a wrestling ring last night. It's not much, but contact was made and he had to sell, just a little. Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I wanna think that was a little sign that he might wrestle again in a WWE ring maybe.
Rusev and English should of won just proves no matter what rusev gets given he can get over he deserves so much better I’m glad the fans are starting to get behind Rusev
WWWE don't like Bobby Roode. He was the longest nxt champion but in Smackdown, he's just a normal wrestler. One of those "just stick him in the back" wrestlers.
hilmanic28 . Maybe. But even look at Nakamura. He's another example of bad booking. Only nxt success stories are Shield, KO end Sami, Bliss, Charlotte end a couple of people.
Frankly I don't find Nakamura interesting at all. He can't even give a promo, how is he supposed to sustain any momentum the company allows him to have. With that said, what I don't like about him is his strong style. That's practically the worse style you could take when being a wrestler..since you have to fake all your moveset since it basically just is kicking, kneeing and elbowing which makes it look lame as fck. I don't wanna see fake ass kicking..grappling moves, slams, high flying move, etc at least all connects naturally and doesn't look that fake. It's more satisfying to watch in my opinion.
I knew Ziegler was going to win I just had a feeling because Vince McMahon and wwe aren't going to let him go to any other company so they're like here there's the u.s. belt stay if you know what I mean
I want to mention this because for once it’s giving Kevin Dunn some credit. The shot of Bryan falling on Shane: Masterful decision to use a two shot. It gave just enough information to make it compelling. You clearly saw he fell, but you didn’t see Owens. You get the experience of both Shane and Bryan in that one moment. This would be really messed up if they just used a wide shot
I kinda understand now why wwe usually do fatal 4 way tag matches with only two in the ring at one time it does flow better instead of four in the ring at once
The Owens match should have been the main event. This actually was well executed. Neither Bryan nor Shane came out as a heal. And it gave serious props for Owens and Zayn. Just pure wrestling entertainment - nobody wants Shane or Bryan to be a heal - that wouldn't be good for Smackdown. But riding the line like they both are doing is awesome.
Rusev is more over than Finn Balor. Deal with that WWE fans. Finn is just an entrance and that's it, he is wrestling robot, no emotions no nothing. Did you see Rusev last night, the emotions that he emitted to the crowd? That's how you get over in WWE. Happy Rusev Day to all of you and to Simon!!!!!!
Simon From What Culture, I typically agree with your Ups and Downs, but I can't fathom why you didn't enjoy the main event. Even though he was champion for months, to me, this was Jinder's coming out party. It showed that he can work a good match and be a strong villain without the typical shenanigans of the Singh Brothers (mostly). At least the one time they interfered, AJ took them out and it didn't factor into the end of the match. The storytelling was simple and straightforward here. It was solely about both men wanting to be champion. It doesn't need to be more complicated than that. The match itself had solid, simple psychology. Mahal drops AJ on the top rope, thereby injuring AJ's ribs, and then works the ribs the rest of the match. Again, it doesn't need to be more complex. Wrestling is best when the title is the main focus, and that's what happened here. I enjoyed the match so much I went back and watched it again Monday morning. Perhaps this match is one that is better upon second viewing. Anyway, I enjoyed the video, love What Culture, BOO Austin Aries, YAY Defiant Wrestling! Cheers!
Don't agree...Jinder Vs AJ was a lot better. Less botches from Jinder and more character shown PS - Not saying because I'm an Indian(anyways Jinder Isn't)
Dolph winning the US title and Jinder tapping out was gold
Ricardo Los dolph deserves the us title
bryan diaz Bobby roode would be a better champion.
Ricardo Los Bobby decided to take a nap after the zigzag
Ricardo Los 0
Daniel Justice so did Carlitos in I think 2004 or 2005 he won it us championship in his debit
For the first time ever I was impressed with a Jinder match. Hats off for him putting in the effort and of course it doesn't hurt than AJ made him look like a god as only AJ can
The thing with Jinder is he’s not ready a main eventer.
Yeah, he learned a few new moves and keeps steadily improving in the ring.
The right arm is back! 🙋🏽♂️
Michael Jules II lmaoo you a real one cuz I don’t think anybody else noticed... including myself ☹️😂
Quinn Huff I was waiting on him to reference it at some point. Oh well 🤷🏽♂️ Lol
Yay!! Simon!! I look forward to Ups and Downs every week. Makes my heart happy
AJ vs Jinder was actually great
Naw just AJ and the crowd was dead most of the match
Not really Jinder dominated like the whole match
If one was blind....
jinder vs Aj was a good match don't listen to these guys.
It wasn't. The result was great but the match... meh
Happy Rusev day!!!
Happy rusev day!
whens your birthday?
August 20th
Cancelled. Rusev Day
Matt Abbott best commentary on the show.
I don't want to see a squash match on a payperview. Breeze and Dango deserve better after that build. They could've at least thrown Ascension in there for some interference to drag it out a few more minutes.
That’s the whole reason why I bought the pay per view! Love Squash matches :)
Not really They're a comedy duo. Breezeango I mean.
They are a comedy duo, but they can also work. And it would've been a decent way to build a feud with Ascension. Smackdown's got tag talent coming out the ears and there's just so much that could be done.
I remember my first paperview. Never have I seen so many marginal errors.
Cool story.
WWE didnt even pushed Rusev but he gets huge cheers
Roman Reigns is getting the biggest push but get booed
Bad luck Vince😂😂
Ananthakrishnan J RUSEV DAY
Tbh, the guy who's getting pushed the most at the moment is probably Braun, and he gets cheered like pretty much nobody else
Ananthakrishnan J They were teasing him winning to see how people react.
It's always been that way. WWE have their idea on who the man should be, the fans have their idea. If the fans cheers loud enough sometimes WWE listen to them. Sometimes they don't though
Roman Reigns push has decelerated considerably. He's in a funny place but his matches and promos have gotten better.
Styles vs Mahal should've gotten an up, Simon. Styles just got Jinders best ever match and he retained cleanly. Up!
And jinder showed that he has learned a few new moves as well. He is slowly, but steadily improving.
I still think December should have both Clash of Champions and Starrcade
420 Bomber but one of these should be RAW.
How about December to Dismember lmao
Kveerforever Best ppv ever
420 Bomber what the hell is starcade
Lalaxxx No not How do u not know what starcade is?! It's a WCW pay per veiw
When porn is not profitable enough and you have to create a TH-cam channel... Nice try Johnny Sins
Gamboa XD XD XD IM DONE!!!
At least he gets to pipe some tiny teens On the side lol
Dolph Ziggler winning = epic. Rusev & English losing after a badass build up = predictable bollocks from creative as Rusev is getting over (so expect the angle to be dropped), Usos won (don't give a fuck). Tim Dakumah Rusev and English didn’t “really” lose since they weren’t the ones that got pinned. I think creative wanted to make the Usos look strong while keeping Rusev and English from looking weak. That’s why they pinned Gable
i really feel like wwe didnt realize how much over rusev and english were until yesterday lol
I was there and when Nadi was crying after the camera shut off she was perfectly fine and walked away. And she wasn't crying it was the funniest thing ever
Taco President that acting was turrible
lmao i seen the same thing . and i seen mojo and ryder handshaking when they got behind the curtain
probably setting up for an episode of "Total Divas" next year or so 😒
I don't like jinder but my God he was on fire in the main event
An actual four star match imo
the unhindered Jinder
Arunim Ishaan reminded me of Benoit vs HHH Vengeance 2004
Was a very good match
And the crowd was still dead and could careless
if you think the crowd was dead, you either didn't watch the match or are just butthurt that a wrestler you hate had a great match
Aj and jinder was awesome
Seeing jinder expand his move set and aj sell... great match..
Triple threat was AWESOME as well as the tag team match
DaPhoenix777 Main event was Avereage you have very low expectation
The King of Kings
You just a fan... fan are the biggest hypocrites and quick to judge... that was a great match and satisfying ending to a good ppv
The King of Kings
It's spelled average... clown.. also I don't have expectations for wrestling matches.
DaPhoenix777 No No Yes
I don't know why people think that just because Jinder lost, his run is over. Jinder carried the majority of the match from Clash of Champions, so he is still being billed as a threat. He just got too cocky with trying a Styles Clash, which got reversed on him. But overall, he was booked as being strong from the match.
I only cared about the K.O. and Sami match. It turned out the way I wanted and I'm satisfied with that..
scorpion queen it was pure total chaos, I loved it
scorpion queen Straight facts
scorpion queen I love you..!!
Chant for Jinder Mahal :
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
"You tapped out!"
The woman lumberjack match of Charlotte vs Nattie the worst match in this PPV and AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal was the best match in this PPV.
Lmao what?
AJ vs Mahal wasnt that good.
I'd say the Triple Threat Match was the match of the night! It was amazing throughtout and Ziggler winning was such a wonderful surprise :D
I disagree. AJ and Jinder was an up! I thought that was a great match. Jinder performed amazingly. The storytelling was well thought out and punctuated. Singhs got dealt with. I wanted to see Jinder go crazy and hit AJ with 3 slams for the win..... but ehhh
Marckenz Dubuche nah match was boring u could tell jinder was trying hard but for me it wasn't good enough
Remember when every PPV had custom stage, and not looking like Sunday SDlive or RAW
Frna79_esNatoc I do indeed there were some fantastic PPV stage designs. Now there boring. Wwe need to bring bk PPV stages it and pryos. It added to the excitement.
Frna79_esNatoc remember when they hanged blood drops on the Bad Blood PPV's
Are SZ and KO faces by default now??And are Randy and Shinsake(misspelled I know) heels by default??
Sammy Lane no but shane is a heel and daniel bryan is a face
i'd say randy and shinsuke aren't heels by default, because frankly they're being misled by shane, but sami and kevin are now faces, as they have basically exposed shane o' mac for being a bad person.
BROTHER GARY that anyone has to ask or attempt to explain shows how awful it was booked.
i disagree, nick- the speculation makes it fun, and it'll most likely be cleared up on SDL.
No Daniel just has the ROH connection
Great show last night, now it's Rumble time!
Get ready for the 3 faces of Roman. #1, somewhere in the middle, and at #30
I spit out water when you said Repo-Man.
Simon you are the light of what culture
Glad your arm is able to move again!
Hey the right arm works again
Got to love that. That's old school rassling at it's finest!
U hate jinder for apparently no fcking reason! The match was brilliant . Jinder put on a great match and is constantly improving. You have decided to hate him and no matter what he does u will continue to do so! That is rubbish . The man has done so much hardwork and everyone loved the match! Maharaja 💖
This channel has always hated Jinder since his push started.
Danny Ya Boi Davito I think he's a man.......😂
AJ did his part in the match too but I agree. This channel has a very particular way of how they enjoying wrestling. They've already made up their minds on Jinder. Tons of the comments here disagree with Simon and WhatCulture isn't the pinnacle of wrestling knowledge by any means.

Yeah but let's not act like Simon doesn't have this massive platform to push his beliefs on what he thinks the WWE should be. Most are disagreeing with him here.
This PPV was awesome. US title was great and the tag team match was amazing
Biggest Return in Wrestling History Simon's Right Arm
Jinder vs AJ was great
i enjoy these ups and downs videos. great summaries. 👌🏻👌🏻
So that black WWE Title Aj had on smackdown last week was just a temporary belt???
Love ziggler. Great to see him getting a bit of a push again ( hopefully )
Shane O'Mac vs Daniel Bryan for SDlive manager in Wrestlelamia
Daniel lose and goes independent
WWE Clash of the Champions match rating and overall ratings.
1.Mojo vs Zack Ryder -2.5/5
2.Dolph vs Baron vs Bobby Roode-3.5/5
3.The Usos vs The New Day vs Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable vs Rusev and Aiden English-4/5
4.Charlotte vs Natalya-2/5
5.Breezango vs Bludgeon Brothers-2.5/5
6.KO and Sami vs Shinsuke and Randy Orton-3/5
7.AJ vs Jinder Mahal-4/5
8.Overall ratings-3/5.
Really disagree with you on the main event. It was Jinder’s best match and AJ walked out with the title so I don’t think they could have done much more.
Welcome back, Simon’s right arm! You’ve been missed on the head slaps!
Whatculture completely bias against Jinder. Jinder looked good in defeat, and can't wait to c what will they do with him
How was the usos version of 12 days of christmas bad? The crowd loved it and social media loved it
Ikr, Simon & Whatculture are always talking shite
It is damn sure Daniel vs Shane McMahon at WM 34.
Game Of Wrestling I've heard it's going to be at summerslam
Game Of Wrestling yeah but first they are going to have a 6-man match with Orton, Nakamura, and Shane vs Owens, Zayne, and Bryan
Zenos Hitomora Why? Is Teddy Long back to replace both Shane and Daniel? :P
Rusev day the best thing I have heard since wrestlmani 21
Dolph ziggler is us champ massive up!!!!!
RUSEV DAY
honestly, this is perfect. Ruru is getting the love and he LOVES IT
The storytelling during the Orton/Nak vs Owens/Zayn was fantastic.
This was the best match of jinder Mahal and gave it a down and gave up for your love rusev. That's really unfair
Vivek Mishra exactly!
Vivek Mishra The best match for a garbage wrestler still isnt a good match..
Thanks for the video Simon, but whoever did the thumbnail decided to choose one that was a big SPOILER!
Who's next in line for A championship match with AJ then ? Orton ? Nakamura?
Charlie Gillies I think they might do a open challenge with it
Well, seeings how tomorrow is Russev day... I have high hopes :D (not really tho)
Charlie Gillies Nakamura would be the best opponent at mania, but who he faces at the rumble who knows
M . A Campbell
Hope he has a mini feud with rusev tbf to fill some space before mania with AJ v nakamura
Charlie Gillies having AJ take on Rusev at the rumble would be great as both are super over
Whats with your right arm?
Are you able to use it again?
it was nice to see Jinder actually improving and showing that he's learning to be better in the ring, I think he looked better in this match than he has all year. Maybe not a title contender but he's improving and it's nice to see he's making the effort.
I thought it was pretty obvious. Bryan did a fastcount because Shane hadn't done the 3-count earlier.
Simon, I usually love your ups and downs, but how in the hell do you give the Jinder/AJ match a down??!! It was a clinic of storytelling! AJ carried Mahal to his best match yet. Pretty disappointed here...
This channel hates Jinder. Always has.
Truly moved my heart to see the crowd all-in on Rusev and English and I hope Ru-Ru finally gets a proper push in 2018 that he deserves.
7:11
Randy Orton's Hair
Legend Killer
So glad you can move your arm again Simon
I'm here because a 3 hour show, in which one of the fights has two refs, it's bloody stupid...
Johnny Chavez it turned out to be great tho
Johnny Chavez clearly someone has never played smackdown: here comes the pain
What? Blood? ITS PG! YOURRR...FIRRRREEDDD!
Johnny Chavez It gave me a headache watching it
Nathan Puckett you shouldve changed the channel if it bothered you
ah, the right arm is restored....
Lol repo man.., gets me every time
Simon we missed your right arm. Great to see it back in action!
I only watch simons what culture videos.
Alex Holtzie And...?
Jon Apex and... Happy rusev day. Sorry i forgot that part.
Rusev and English should of won just proves no matter what rusev gets given he can get over he deserves so much better I’m glad the fans are starting to get behind Rusev
The only criticism I have about the tag team match is that obviously Rusev and Aiden English should have won
Jashmail Mathis agreed. They really made Rusev, and even Aiden, look HELLA strong.
WWWE don't like Bobby Roode. He was the longest nxt champion but in Smackdown, he's just a normal wrestler. One of those "just stick him in the back" wrestlers.
He's boring. All he has going is an opening theme..maybe if they made him heel that could change.
hilmanic28 .
I don't wanna see fake ass kicking..grappling moves, slams, high flying move, etc at least all connects naturally and doesn't look that fake. It's more satisfying to watch in my opinion.
I'm gonna have to disagree and say that AJ vs Jinder was actually really solid. The story told with AJs ribs and Jinders leg was really solid for WWE
AJ Styles overcame Jinder Mahal.... I can't say that without feeling a little sick
if simon get in wwe he will be like Apollo Crews .. just smiling and being happy
I knew Ziegler was going to win I just had a feeling because Vince McMahon and wwe aren't going to let him go to any other company so they're like here there's the u.s. belt stay if you know what I mean
Simon isn't doing the talking because his muscular physique does it for him. 👌
"Hey Byron, What's your Birthday?" "Ummm August 25th." "Cancelled. Rusev Day!"- Corey Graves is the best
I agree with all the ups and downs except for the main event
hey look simons arm works again give a like for simons arm :D
The 12 days of Rusev & The 12 Days Of Lockdown was great & LIT
Yay! Results!!!
Justin S just buy wwe network
Matthew McCormick not to be rude or anything butttt *looks around* where did ask for your reply...just saying :)
It’s funny how mojo said zack only got over because of the internet but he did the same exact thing on social media this week
glad to see he can use his right hand again :'D
Since it is the season, I would love to know what the lyrics for "The twelve days of Rusev" would sound like.
This was actually a solid smackdown ppv surprisingly
I kind of hope for a weird double turn with Shane and K.O. Daniel Bryan still feels like the face and Shane feels like the heel.
AlainShadowz what’s a double turn??
John Smith , double turn is when a good guy becomes bad and a bad guy becomes good at the exact same time.
John Smith basically, I want Shane to go bad, and Kevin and Sammy to go good.
AlainShadowz oh ok.
Styles vs. Jinder was excellent, I don't know what you're talking about...
But good to see your arm is better
I want to mention this because for once it’s giving Kevin Dunn some credit.
The shot of Bryan falling on Shane: Masterful decision to use a two shot.
It gave just enough information to make it compelling.
You clearly saw he fell, but you didn’t see Owens.
You get the experience of both Shane and Bryan in that one moment.
This would be really messed up if they just used a wide shot
I didn't expect it to be good but it was pretty good
Simon, you have a weird fetish with Rusev, that and you say Rusev's name too much!
David R lol
that fatal four way tag match was awesome. Gable with his German Suplex's was awesome
the main event was actually pretty good
I kinda understand now why wwe usually do fatal 4 way tag matches with only two in the ring at one time it does flow better instead of four in the ring at once
I'm so oddly invested in the mojo vs Ryder feud and I don't know why. Should I be concerned?
Simon, I'm glad to see the arm is working again.
Jinder vs AJ was actually a exciting match. I'm feel sorry for jinder, his best came in the end of his push.
What happened to TLC being in December PPVS are all over the place now a days
Handsome RuRu lost smh...
Happy New Ears Simon.
I thought it as a solid 7.8/10 ppv
I enjoyed every match and segment, and the last two matches felt like a wonderful callback to late 80's wrestling
Simon is Whatculture Wrestling!
The sami and Kevin result was kinda spoiled when Sami was announced to be in the mixed match challenge...
