I love the Z, but the Daihatsu Move is really winning me over. Its like a pocket rocket.

Daihatsu are very good cars, had one years ago, bought it brand new and absolutely thrashed it hard for 100,000km with zero problems.

the Move’s have some nice room, fairly easy to work on. and they will boogie down if turbo. reach through the front bumper to change the oil filter!

Love the Move, One of the Few Kei Cars I want thanks to Gran Turismo 3, The Move, Wagon RR (just picked up from port), and a 91 Alto Works, are the 3 dream kei cars I wanted. And as of the oast few years Ive really wanted a first gen Daihatsu Tanto, front ends remind me of my Skyline lol having them side by side would be a flex
But Moves are just so cool in every way

The move isn't just a great Kei car but a good overall compact car in general especially this generation. Pretty durable and easy to work on as others have mentioned. $6500 is a good price given the condition it is in. Thanks for sharing this with us!

People be sleeping on some of these other Daihatsus. Picked up a ‘96 Move last year with the turbo 4 and it’s really growing on me. Still worried it’s gonna tip over, but with an aftermarket intake you get video game over the top blowoff noises lol

I've been telling you Daihatsu is top tier for kei cars. I've had the previous generation move sr-xx with the turbo engine and they are quick
This car has the 3 cylinder engine EF-DET. There is a tubo 4 cylinder JB engine, that one is the one similar to the mira trxx.
I have a 95 mira trxx right now and it has to be making more than 64hp. It's one of the quickest kei cars I've tried

Some kei cars especially in the 90's are 660cc on paper but actually does a little more. That and Alto works are some of the examples of it.
I'd rather have a Move than a Cappuccino or Alto Works just for its practicality alone.
Yeah the move is great its more spacious than both those cars and maybe just as fast

How does it handle? That those things can humiliate some expensive cars in 0-100 is no secret. Actually the fwd version of this car is even faster (as far as I can remember).

Among kei cars it's an interesting one, I considered getting one because you can have enough room on the back seats for 2 adults AND it has 4 doors. As a "car" though, Top Gear ranked it the worst car of the year ;p

I wonder how hard is it to drive a Kei car in the States, because I know there's a lot of SUVs or trucks. Still, its a very nice car I should say! (In Malaysia we have the Daihatsu Move here, but a rebadge version!)
its not that hard, Some things are annoying like parking garages, drive thru and stuff like that but I love it
