This is the last MTGO Constructed League. I actually played 2 more Pauper leagues after this but decided against posting them due to my negativity in them. That's it, the game broke me.
honestly just wanted to say that I dont mind the salt, cause I often feel just the same playing magic lmao. when you're just watching somebody play its easy to stay chill, but when playing yourself, sometimes you just have rough losing streaks or days where opponents always topdeck exactly what they need and its perfectly normal to get pissed. important to every now and then take breaks from this game to keep your sanity tbh, especially when you often play brews and only end up playing against copy/paste T1 decks.
Round 3 was quite enjoyable to watch. To bring some positivity, I like the way you comment the videos in a fast paced mode and I’m 100% with you about the fact that Pauper needs a big change. PFP doesn’t give a damn, so maybe it’s time to create an anti-PFP movement 😂. I think it’s a hard time for youtubers, because this meta doesn’t really help or care about new decks. It’s all about T1-T2s. On my case, the only way I found to play Pauper is to constantly sweep the board and gain life with the rat bomb combo. It’s hilarious to see people quitting on G2, but I wasn’t the one choosing net decks, so I don’t care. P.S. Need to say Ponza is another hateful deck for me. But maybe just a matter of personal preference.
I threw together a version of this with fjord, 4 skred, and the extra wild growth, cutting fire/ice and crimson fleet and I’m really liking it. I think it runs better than gruul and the manabase works much better with fjord
I'm new to Pauper so my question might sound ignorant but why are so many Pauper decks running this few lands? And what's the reason behind running only 2 red sources from lands? I understand that the deck runs a lot of green ramp but doesn't it still make it quite inconsistent for your non-green mana generation?
I think you should post the other leagues. Fair criticism of the format is sound. Sticker goblin should be banned due to how different it is from paper.
I feel like the format as a whole is way too fast for ponza to be an effective strategy. Still, I like seeing something different, even if it didn't work out.
Paper standard might be dead but i do not find it fair to call it a dead format format. It is still by far the most commonly played Arena format by all known metrics, which must account for substantial player counts of all competitive constructed that is played in a week. Arena ~5_000_000 (that play at least once a month) 50_000 daily? (according to 2023 leaks that may or may not be true) (5_000 concurrent just on steam, excluding standalone launcher and mobile which was the only way to play until recently). assuming 30 minutes per game (since arena is much faster to play) that means 50_000 1v1 games could be played on area per hour. 40%~ being standard. That way 480_000 matches of standard is played per day. For comparison the number of WPN stores are ~ 6,000. 32 player tourneys every day and all of them same non standard constructed format X. If the average person plays 6 games before dropping that means 6000*32*6/2 ~ 500_000 matches of format X per day- Both of these numbers are of course ballpark numbers and largely overinflated but surely it would not be unreasonable to conclude that going off the number of matches a substantial amount of competitive magic is still standard? Kinda sucks that we really have no way of actually knowing player numbers Also: Kitchen table non competitive surely wins? but I'm just considering constructed competitive.
standard is in, in my opinion, one of the most unfun states its been. and i think comparing arena, a completely different platform, to mtgo, and ESPECIALLY paper, is an apples to oranges comparison and ultimately indicates nothing.
The content in itself is really interesting, i love seeing all these different decks and formats, but man, the salitness in every single video makes it unbearable to watch. Relax, man
@@AmmiO2 idk if commander is any better :D but i get it, magic can be quite a lot do deal with atm (though for me its more the shit surrounding the game than the game itself)
Your other favorite youtubers also have bad leagues but they don't post them and only post the ones where they do well. I respect that Ammi posts it no matter what.
I started an MTG channel and now I don’t win that much anymore! The big reason is….we always try to bring something different and new! But, if u wanna just win…play with the top 4 Decks.

Feel you dude, just lost a bunch in a row, really enjoy playing and watching you at the same time, my favorite magic creator❤
Man you have to relax some more

The Lord of the Rings landcycling cards are defacto extra color sources.

You need to strengthen your character so that you whinge less often.
I love you bro but it's true. ❤️🤜🤗

Arena? Oh that digital card game that resembles Magic.

I agree, that's why I quit playing constructed 1v1.

You lose a lot
Yep, it was a rough few weeks back then.
