I've gotta say, I'm very new to the world of custom keyboards and modding them, but with the tape mod, is there a reason you leave a margin around the circuit board? I thought I would go to the edge. Also I heard you should push the tape down close onto the board, but you seem to leave yours hanging more, any reason?
BTW I love this video. It seems ASMR is a huge part of the modded keyboard aesthetic. for your first 1k subscribers, you should buy a nice, warm photography light. Good lighting is so good.

Hey! Thanks for watching the video! :) for the tape mod, you can go all the way to the end! I just stopped when I covered all the hot swap sockets, but you def can go all the way to the sides :) I didn’t want to cover the Bluetooth/window switches as well :) hmm the tape I use is not that sticky so I think it looks like it’s hanging. But I definitely tried to push it down 😂 thanks so much for the advice! I am currently using a balloon soft box, maybe I’ll change it to a square one :D I’ve also bought light strips which I have yet to set up! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment! Really appreciate it 😊

Hi, i just did this on my Ak820 pro, 3 layers of tape mod, kept the silicon and used pe. Changed keycaps. Have you thought about something to make it more thocky? Is polyfill worth it? What are other alternatives
